Except that Japan has some of the higher total income tax rates in the world. Their income tax structure at the national level is much like ours here in the US, except that Japan has higher local taxes that add about another 10 points to the effective tax rate.
 
Looks like Last Of Us is gone again. The jackass in me is smiling. I really wish this had the artbook. I cant recall when two CE are released the higher tier one having less than the lower tier.

looks like it was limited after all. Sad that it doesn't have the artbook but I'll gladly plunk down $26 for it as this was a game I've been wanting to get since it's first trailer appeared way back when.

I agree with everything you said. It's the Internet though. People that are happy with what they do don't post as often. People that want to bitch and complain because they're miserable, trying to be counter to everyone else, or think they're being funny do post more often.

I've seen people complain a lot about the Max Payne 3 statue. I got it for $30 and I like it. Could it be better? Yeah. Could it be worse? Yeah. Does it sit in my living room filled with other collectables and do people say it looks cool? Yeah. I'm happy with it and I don't regret getting it. I don't focus on what it could've been and cry cause its still pretty cool.

That watch is pretty awesome looking. Not sure I'd buy it, but I set up a notification for when it comes back again.

The reason I complained about the MP3 statue is because many people agreed that it sucks. It doesn't even look much like Max, and it's all waxy looking. It's made by the same company that is making the statue for The Last Of Us.

The picture for the statue for The Last Of Us does not look like Ellie. So it's concerning to me since I bought a couple of them and it's probably the only video game statue in the history of video game statues that I may actually want to keep for myself.

I understand. I feel the same way. I guess with the Max Payne statue I'm not looking closely at it all the time so the waxy look doesn't bother me. Most of the people who say how nice it looks aren't fans of the game so they don't know it's not 100% accurate.

I have my reservations about The Last of Us statue. The main reason I preordered it was because it looks different than most of the collectables I have. So even if its not 100% accurate it'll fill a void in my collection. It also makes me think of what I would do to protect my daughter (even though the characters aren't related) if our world was in the same place. So the statue for me has multiple meanings when I look at it.
 
Max payne statue looks like homer simpson with hair, and white skin.

Just replace the gun with doughnut and the bullet shells with bread crumbs.

Idk he looks like homer to me in a way.

I agree with this and will probably keep one regardless of what it looks like or how crappy it is in the end. I won't be too happy about it but I also have a teenage daughter so I can relate. Regardless if the statue is garbage or not I can't wait to play the game.

I finally bit on this. I ended up ordering 2 copies. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any quantity discount on the shipping as it was 6 GBP for shipping on one and 12 GBP on shipping for two. Oh well.

Think about it. Their is a huge difference between NECA's Toys R Us line of mass produced toys and their line of collector's items that they make in limited quantities. Same goes for the toys/statues that McFarlane produces.

How many CE's do you think their was for Max Payne 3 across all three systems. How many do you think there will be for The Last Of Us across the Playstation 3?
 
Anyone pick up the Aliens Collector edition, read the reviews and decided to return it? I am going to contact amazon about the return and hopefully I dont eat to much money on return shipping.
 
I checked out the Alien CE at GameStop tonight. The statue looks pretty poorly painted. That said, the guys at my GS said they only got three CEs in, all for pre-orders so this might not be readily available on the cheap down the road.

It's very unlike Naughty Dog to push back a release date but I'm actually fine with this. This summer is looking pretty barren when it comes to games I want.

Source? Best Buy is the only site with the new date. Gamestop had the June 18th date last night, but went back to May 7 this morning. None of the articles I can find has a source other than Best Buy or has been updated since the Best Buy rumors started last night.

I guess GameStop did change there date back to may 7th but amazon and best buy have there's changed. I guess we will see but I think it will be delayed.

Unfortunately, Best Buy and Amazon are terrible for release dates. I suspect there may be some truth to the delay given that the 18th is a Tuesday and could be a legit date, but until we see a formal announcement, it's not a fact and shouldn't be reported as such.

you can purchase 30 on amazon at once.. i think that's a pretty big sign they have a ton in stock that isn't selling

Had mine pre-ordered at BB 4 months ago, went yesterday to pick up with receipt in hand and they "have no record of my order". First time this ever happened so I was shocked, they are trying to locate one from another source to fulfill my order and said I could pick up the regular and return it opened toward the collectors once they had it. I didn't cause too much a scene as I already saw the reviews and wasn't heart broken, will pick it later once its cheap just for my collection.

yep i cancelled my newegg orders partly due to being broke, partly the backlog and a good old fashioned to hell with ill get this game at the 20 dollar or less price that its bound to hit.
 
So anyone think that the Metal Gear Rising Collector's Edition will drop below $100 anytime after its release? Less than a week to the release of it and it's still up for pre-order from more than one source.

Out of curiosity how many sources still have it up for preorder?

Edit: nevermind I swore I remembered reading it was a GS/AZ exclusive... guess not as it is available from many other stores.

I was trying to be a smartass and I failed. I thought it was an Amazon / Gamestop exclusive. Thankfully I took a moment to research it for myself.

In case you guys haven't noticed most stores no longer stock CE's unless they are leftover preorders or AAA titles. Not sure MGR qualifies as AAA but we'll see.

Either way I don't expect their to be a lot of these in store. Doesn't mean the online (warehouse) copies won't hit clearance but I don't think these will hit the magical BB / Target in store clearance cycle.

To strengthen my point I can't imagine that the Aliens CE was overly popular and yet I didn't see it in any stores (I checked a half dozen while running errands) except for GS who had a lone preorder that was being held and yet I bet their are tons still in warehouses somewhere.

I expect this trend to continue.

I believe the lowest it went was at Target clearance for $35.xx (I bought one).

They are on clearance at TRU and you may still be able to find one for $60 or less. The last time I checked they were 79.99.

Lowest price was a pricing error at gamestop for 19.99. I got a copy in store for that, and some others here did as well. Only lasted a day though before gamestop put out the memo to not sell it for that.

The Injustice CE is up at BB if anyone is interested in the U.S. version. I'm going this route so I don't have to deal with international shipping/ box art language.
