I want to strangle amazon right now... This response is dumb ... I ordered it 2 months ago with a release date of the 7th.

"Looking at your order, Yes you are correct that the release date of the game was June 7,2016 that was for the Mirror's Edge Catalyst - PlayStation 4 Standard Copy . Your order was a Collector's Edition which has a given special instruction on our Amazon Website page that it will be send 1 to 2 months after the release date of the Standard copy."

Yesterday afternoon I finally got my e-mail saying that the revised delivery date was August 10. Then last night I got another one saying June 17.... who knows what the heck is up.

When it comes to Mirror's Edge Catalyst CE, if you don't care about the discount price due to waiting 1 to 2 months to play this game, it seems that GameStop > Amazon in this situation.

GameStop was also shockingly better in the way they handled the Fire Emblem Special Edition shipping release vs. Best Buy and Amazon. This is why I will still place orders at GameStop just for the unexpected issues like this.

 
So, I learned that Song of the Deep has a collector's edition. There's apparently 3000 units worldwide (not sure if that is split between the Xbox One/PS4 or it's 3000 per platform) and it's exclusive to EB Games. I can't find any info on it, aside from EB's website itself.

Has anyone heard of it/ interested in it?

The markup prices are so extreme though that I'd rather take a delay + compensation versus paying full price + shipping and handling. Probably only one series (Zelda) could make me eat all that extra cost to play day 1.

Or I just do in store pick up with BB.

With how horrible GameStops customer policies and customer support is, I refuse to give them any money unless they are the absolute last resort. They don't deserve anyone's support.

I ordered a Fire Emblem from BB, it arrived 3 days late and I got a $20 GC for my trouble. Didn't have to call anyone or draft a shitty email. This happened for everyone who ordered it for delivery. Don't think for a second Amazon or Gamestop would come close to this level of service.

Don't color me as a BB apologist, but in this particular instance they delivered excellent customer service.

I think EBGames and GameStop are the exclusive carriers of the physical version of this game. If GameStop has not announced it yet, chances are we will not see it unless EBGames Canada carries it, but then again, they don't ship to the US.

That ship has sailed. It was sold back on May 23rd to people on the waitlist.you had to receive an email from them with a link to be eligible to buy one.

Not exactly correct. People continued to receive links right up through the end of last week based on posts I've seen on Reddit and elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if some additional links went out as launch approaches, but given that many people who hopped on the wait list just after sell out still haven't received links, I think the chances of most people receiving a link at this point is fairly slim unless you fall into that very early wait list category.

Yea well I didn't have time to put it in this kind of detail, but the point is if you havnt received a link by now, you're pretty much 99% screwed.

The same reason the Dedsec edition was UK only for Watchdogs 1. Cuz Ubi. I just wish the Dedsec edition for this one had the artwork of the San Francisco edition. Not a fan of all the crazy graffiti on the Dedsec 2.0, but (aside from the box art) it seems to be THE "definitive" edition of the game.

Yes, Gamestop was better time-wise, but didn't they send out a bunch (if not most) with little protection so they came crushed? Not to mention you had to pay a shipping/handling charge for that privilege.

Yes, Best Buy was 3 days late, but they gave everyone $20 free to spend on something else for the trouble. Plus it was 20% off and in a well protected box.

Though I guess this conversation is moot regarding Mirror's Edge Catalyst CE as Best Buy never carried it.

 
Pretty pissed about the Mirror's Edge CE. I used credits to knock it down to under $100, and I really wanted to play the game. Not gonna buy it from another retailer and pay over $200 for it. I don't mind waiting for the CE contents, but man I really wanted to dive into the game. No choice to wait now, as they are bundled together. As late as an August 10th wait is absolutely freaking ridiculous.

Damn, looks like this is gonna be hard to find. Was really hoping I would be able to snag this for much, since pre-orders never sold out (at least, not for the few days leading up to release).

I want this CE, but not for $200 (or $175, after Prime/taxes). I put in an order for the PS4 version on Amazon, shipping in 1-2 months. Seems kinda odd, I'm wondering if there just wasn't some kind of shipping shortage or something.

My Mirror's Edge CE shipped late last night from Amazon.  I had gotten the August 10th estimate e-mail and then a few days ago I got a June 17th estimate e-mail and then the shipping last night.  Hopefully this saga is almost over for everyone.
