[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I mentioned once here that there were two copies at my local Kmart. Two days later they were both gone.

My guess is that it was just coincidence, but I suppose there could be some CAGs laying low in Logan, UT.

This is why I no longer say 'xyz store has this game' when I find a game, since I know as SOON as I do, it'll be gone before I can swing back to grab myself a SINGLE copy. Of course, whenever I DO find something anymore around here, I'll say 'my local Kmart', but I don't specify the exact one I'm talking about. There are SEVEN Kmarts around me, but I'll be damned if I'll make it super easy for some possible hoarder/reseller to just swoop in and nab everything.

Of course, some of those Kmarts were picked clean a long, long time ago or they haven't updated prices in MONTHS and MONTHS, which is why I only go to 3 of them regularly.

And, if you take some backroads heading towards the NY state line(eventually you'll end up in Waverly, NY), there's another 2 or so. But, those I only hit when I take my family to the slot parlor @ Tioga Downs in NY state.

I definitely try to be as vague as I can, due to the massive hoarding that occured when I said that the one Kmart store had copies of the original Baten Kaitos for GC back when it was $4 a pop on one of the clearance lists. I went back the NEXT DAY to pick up one for myself and the 5-6 copies I left the day prior were LONG GONE>

Ahh the joys of the sneaky lurkers, I never knew how many were in my area until I noticed the Sears store that used to me my gold pit started to dry up and the store went and tagged the games and refused to scan them stating" the actual price is on the label" because I guess there were a few people that would come in and scan a ton of stuff and just leave piles of games by the self scanners if they did not want them.

I really wont post and deals anymore unless it is something I am not at all interested in because you post it and it is gone. I made a post yesterday that is going to bite me because I had a chance to swap out my GH version of Shadow of the Colossus and now I bet they are gone.

I do the same thing. I pick up what I want first then when I'm done I post about the remaining stuff I saw in the hopes that my fellow CAGs get it before the hoarders (I'm looking at you SD & FW!).

Well, for the first time in a LONG time, one of my local Kmarts had a mini score worth of games(including an old clearance title, which had a last price in the system of $1.00).

Here's what I got:

The Warriors(XBox)(UPC: 710425292590)-marked $10, came up for $5.
Tales Of Legendia(PS2)(UPC: 722674100342)-marked $29.99, came up $2.99
Rumble Roses(PS2)(UPC: 083717201151)-marked $29.99 and $39.99, came up 'check shelf label', took it to the front desk, asked them to check the last price in the system, it came up $1
Soul Calibur II Greatest Hits packaging(PS2)(UPC: 722674021432)-marked $19.99, came up $1.99
Syphon Filter: Omega Strain(PS2)(UPC: 711719726425)-marked $19.99, came up as $5

There were copies of Death By Degrees there as well, but the only copy I was going to check was a front lane copy, marked $14.99. They also have a Tales Of The Abyss and a couple other older clearance titles, but I didn't have any of those checked.

I'm keeping all but Tales Of Legendia, which I'm going to put on my TL for TRADE ONLY for Rogue Galaxy. SC II and Rumble Roses both look like someone dumped soda on them at one point, but the cases themselves aren't sticky, just the plastic shrinkwrap. The Warriors and SF:OS both looked like they were opened, they appeared 'resealed', so I opened The Warriors in the store and SF when I got home. Both were mint, cept for one small surface scratch on SF. How they both languished on the shelf for so long in that condition is beyond me.

Oh and here's another new non gaming item to add to the clearance list, a PLASMA HDtv:

^^ what kmart ?? hopefully not the dickson city (rt.6) one, cuz i saw a Soul Cariber 2 there, but didnt scan it. for 1.99 ill pik it up. went there yesterday and priced lemmings (psp) which according to slashbunny is $3 but rang up 29.99.ughh ..
 
LOL Are you one of the lurkers who keeps taking all of the games that I see @ DC when I mention them being there? That's why I never mention which store I get my games from, but yeah, that's the store I nabbed the games from.

It used to be like my personal goldmine up there, same with Moosic, until it seems that they both got organized and moved many of the clearance games out into bins where more people could check them out and end up buying them. And, for a while, I was grabbing Tales Of Legendia and Disgaea 2 from the other Kmarts around here.

There's a TON of Kmarts around here, including Hazleton(Laurel Mall), Edwardsville, Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Moosic, Dickson City and Honesdale. If you count going the 40-50 miles up into NY state and the surrounding area, there's Johnson City, NY(where I found a Logitech PS2 controller for $12) and Binghamton, NY and there's also one up past Tunkhannock in Towanda.

I went to the Towanda Kmart and the shopping center it's in during the Sam Goody closings about a year and a half ago or so and I've even been up to the Matamoras location and down to Berwick. Of course, that was before gas went over $3 a gallon, so now I limit myself to the local 3-5 stores. LOL

I was going to say $80 seemed way too high - they seem to go for $65-$70 now (before shipping of course). At $50 + tax it barely makes it worth it. And with the ebay closing fees getting jacked up next week it won't be worth it then. I've sold a few from Fred Meyer where I got them for $45 (10% off video games coupon) and I don't pay sales tax. Given all that, it is still *barely* worth the hassle but I'm trying to do the sell 3 to pay for my copy deal myself.

OK, so then you didn't nab the copy of Rogue Galaxy in DC I guess, it was in a second row of PS2 games behind the main spine out row of games. However, after having it PC'd and it coming up either $7 or whatever, I had them put it back and they put it back atop the main row of spine out PS2 games.:cry: Stupid move on my part, since now I want a copy, but I can't find anymore copies locally.

Moosic was a great store at one point, they had big bins of clearance titles out on the counter in electronics. At least, they did until someone tried grabbing one and sprinting towards the front door with games flopping out of it along the way. I wasn't there the night it happened, but I know when I went in the next time the cashier I usually talk to there told me about it.

I haven't had any major scores lately, but I know there's a further off Kmart down near Bloomsburg with a disheveled electronics department with MANY games just strewn about on an open shelf. I'm pretty sure it IS a goldmine waiting to be picked clean, but I can't bring myself to travel that far anymore for a deal.

I only look for PS2/Xbox titles when grabbing games from the clearances, since that's all I have at this point. Though, if there is a good trade deal going on, I have been known to grab the occasional(read: MANY in the case of the Clancy Triple Pack on Xbox)copy or three(or nine) to flip for credit.

I only usually try to flip stuff I know people won't want under any circumstances and that I've seen sitting in the case forever at those stores anyway. Speaking of the CTP, I should hit the one Kmart I've seen one last copy at and grab it for my new collection I'm quickly building.

Yeah, that was the only game I saw with Rogue in the title, but they DID have a copy like a month or two ago. It wasn't marked with a clearance sticker or anything, so it must've been someone wanted the game or a hoarder. But, why would they leave TOL and the like, I wonder.

Yeah, I expected to be paying 10. I was pleasantly surprised. I got the last one, and it was still marked $22.

My one local Kmart has a copy of it, marked $10, but it rang up $39.99 the other night when I had it PC'd. The lady in electronics was about to rip the clearance tag off it before I said I'd take it up to the customer service desk to see if they'd honor the $10 price tag.

I figured it should've been $4 by now, since The Warriors is $5. That's one of the games I want to rebuy from my old collection, but I don't wanna overpay for it.

yup, just one of these for $4, last week i pricechecked and it came up $10...glad i waited. Mainly b/c they had atleast 8-10 of em. theres plenty left. - scranton/carbondale hwy (rt. 6) PA
 
ok i mentioned b4 how i did well at a few stores but after hitting up the Rt 17 K-Mart I can officially say this is where I will do all my clearance shopping... first off only a few titles were in the clearance section but most were still in the locked case and a mojority of the games that are on clearance are there... I purchased

and they had LOTR (12.97) Bionicle Heroes (7) and a bunch of sports games among other games... I bought the last 2 prey btw (a steal at $3)
 
Those batteries work great in the PSP slim units. Since you need the battery cover to use the phat batteries with the slim I flipped two of the three (gave one to a friend that got a slim for Christmas) and used the profits to buy the extended life battery kit.

that game is excellent I paid like 30 for it about 2 years ago, and I thought it was worth every penny. One of the best superhero games of all time.
 
I saw Ghosts and Goblins tonight but it was stickered on the front as being 19.99. Normally there is a sticker on the back over the original UPC, this one did not have a sticker on the back. I took it to the scanner and it said "see sticker for pricing." If I bring it to the register will it ring up as 3.00 or will it be 19.99?

Did it say "Check Shelf Label for Pricing" ? If so, then it's out of the system and it will prompt the cashier to enter a price. If it's tagged $19.99, that's what they'll enter it for unless you convice them to look up the last selling price using the scanner hand gun.
 
I picked up Trace Memory for $3. I've scanned it twice before, waiting for a drop. Does anyone know when this one got so low? The first time I had it scanned, it was still a $15 game. The second time, the guy who scanned it claimed he "couldn't get it the price checker to work" after he scanned it. I couldn't see the screen, but I had a hunch he just didn't want to give it to me for a lower price than what it was marked at.
 
suprise to see 2 Persona 3's at the local Kmart here has well. They did have some Fire pro wrestling and Fatal Fury battle archieves in the $10 bargain section but I already have those games.
 
There is a Persona 3 at my local store but it keeps ringing up at 49.99. Will it show up as a different price when they hit total, or am I just going to have to wait?

Um, Persona 3 is not now, nor has ever been, on clearance at Kmart. It is $49.99 - people are finding it somewhat surprising that they still see them there at any price. Though I see them less at Kmart and more at Fred Meyer. I think a few people got lucky with one store with mistagged P3's and got them cheap (in the last thread) so perhaps that's where some of the confusion comes from. It is something that *might* go on clearance at some point, but we really have no idea.
 
Ah, sorry about that. I haven't really kept up with this. The last I heard was someone getting it cheap at Kmart, so I've just priced it every time since. Thanks for the clarification.

Can't you purchase the modified battery cover for the PSP slim with a phat battery online somewhere? Or is one better off just purchasing the PSP slim extended battery kit? BTW, I have a black PSP slim.

Yeah I think there was one guy that found one marked $25 and posted it in the old thread. Ever since people keep posting thinking this is a clearance item.

You can purchase a cheap off brand cover but Sony doesn't sell the cover by itself (believe me I emailed and called them a few times trying to get a part number to buy just the extended life cover). Call me crazy but on certain accessories I want authentic OEM and not cheap knock offs.

I was able to price adjust the PSP battery to $4 that I bought for $10 last Friday :D

It is probably the lowest it will go since it's 90% off now.
 
I went Kmart today & couple of games were out of the system & are now marked 19.99...

I was able to pick the following for $12.97

I saw Final Fantasy V for that price...
 
I got the last Stamina battery, but they had a lot of the regular batteries for the same price ($11). Will this battery fit in the slim with the cover on it?
