[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

The Manahawkin, NJ K-Mart is horrible. I went there to pick up Mirror's Edge for $30 today, and it rang up at $50. Shouldn't the new price be updated in all the K-Mart systems?

I work for k-mart (not in electronics), and let me tell you the games are never the right price.

Our clearance section is ridiculous, nothing is below 15$. You probably just have a terrible store. YMMV.
 
Thankfully neither of my 2 local KMarts are closing for now, I keep expecting them to close just like I thought it was only a matter of time before CC closed (or at least my local CC, they had less than 10 PS3 games in November, a sign they were done).

I have been to that store a few times (I live about 2 hours away and only stop there when going to LBI). A few years ago I found a few clearance games, I stopped last summer. Everything was correctly tagged and all they had was Elite Beat Agents for $10.00.

I wish it was like that at my local Walmart. They have a clearance toy aisle, most toys are stuff like was $0.75, now $0.50 (junky stuff). The "winner" was a toy tagged $0.88 with no clearance tag, for fun I price checked it at a scanner, it scanned for $1.00.

HightopNinja - no need for an updated list, it is pretty much all in the OP. I just hadn't adjusted some things from $9.99 to $5.99 (because I didn't believe those prices till I saw them ;) - just didn't fit the mold for previous price drops) and just a few were missing. I'm fixing that now...

Edit - OK, the changes ended up being pretty substantial since I ended up putting everything Kaydigi listed (well, the stuff under $10 in any case). While I had many of the highlights before, I figured it is better to have everything even if it includes stuff like Barbie Diaries - more info is always better, right? ;)

So is everyone seeing that the games that used to be a flat $5 are now priced at $5.99? That's what many of the reports coming in seem to indicate - some games that I had listed (and in some cases even purchased) at $5 are now $5.99. But others are still reporting $5 for them - but they could just be rounding it down. So I guess their new clearance scheme on the low end is to go to $9.99 then $5.99, then, maybe, $3.50? Only one game is that low now (Juiced 2 for PS3) but that might just be an anomaly.

I've noticed that, but there's some weird variations. Godfather, Jumper, and Beowulf all cost me $5.99 each. But Shadowrun, Stranglehold, and Bee Movie Game all cost $5.00 (all X360). So some of the games are getting bumped back up a smidge, and some aren't.

I also feel like there was something else at one of my local K-Marts that was $3.50, but I think I'm misremembering, because I probably would've bought damn near anything at that price, even The Golden Compass.

My walmart refuses to drop prices on their toys, most of the stuff is like 10$ and up and believe me its not worth that. I could buy most of it on ebay cheaper than the walmart prices. Considering that all the reject toys are in those aisles no one is going to buy them.

Even with the new drops ending in .99, all those old games I have found over the past few weeks that were $5 still scan at $5. The reason Juiced is $3.50 and not ending in .99 is because it was $13 at the last price so it was never on the .99 pricing schedule. I think and really hope the current $5.99 games will be $1.99 for the next drop because they dropped from $9.99 and in some cases $14.99 to $5.99 and there are a few $1.99 games from the past drop (not the most recent one, the one before it) already out there.

I was able to pick up Teenage Zombies, GeoWars, Castelvania PoR.

There was a copy of Teenage Zombies and GeoWars left at Potomac Mills KMart. Got the last Castelvaina :D

Disapointed that I didn't see any of the next gen price drops though...

Clearance is every week, but it varies from dept. There are thousands of women clothes that dropped this week. Still haven't gotten my hands on the games list, just have a weird schedule this week.

First one on the list is near me, they already started 10% off everything closeout, prices still aren't all too great but they'll get cheaper. Luckily, there's a good number of other stores around me though.

It seemed to be every 3 weeks or so in past game drops. I think that is how long the $9.99 games were at $9.99 before dropping to $5.99. I'm going to start checking a few times next week to see if they drop some more since it will have been 3 weeks by then.

I'm still shocked my local KMart isn't closing (not that I want it to close). I drove by the store tonight on the way to Sears at around 8:45 p.m., I counted 7 cars in the lot. That means there might have been 1 or 2 customers at the most.
 
K-Mart has clearances? I thought they only had good prices on "Bartles & Jaymes"...Mmm wine coolers for 80 cents each.

But really, the last good price on a game, at the nearest K-Mart here...Was Kameo for 5 bucks, two years ago. I didn't have, or want a 360 then...But I knew it was a good price, so I bought it regardless.

Mmm, playing Kameo while drinking Bartles & Jaymes...Free advertising, no?

Oh wait, you said return it. Yeah, I guess you can do that and then rebuy it. But do you get the full price you paid if an item goes down on clearance and you return it?

I tried this with Elebits and they said I had to wait until the next day to rebuy it. so this is definately YMMV

You get refunded the price on the receipt and you can return it (unopened) within 90 days.

One CSR at my closest Kmart insists it's 30 days even though the big board behind her says 90. The wording is the same as the back of the receipt, with part of one paragraph: "Some items, including music, movies, computer software, video games, and sports/toy collectibles will not be returned if they have been opened. Also, air conditioners and gas powered equipment must be returned (with the original sales receipt) within 30 days of purchase."

She insists that means video games also can only be returned within 30 days. I always try to be real polite to retail workers because too often I see them get dumped on by shoppers with a chip on their shoulder, but this lady had me floored. I pointed out the period. The separate sentence. Then she angrily said "I'll do it this time, but it's wrong." Then I politely suggested getting a manager involved so that she wouldn't get in trouble, and she refused. Then I insisted on a manager because I wanted clarification and she refused.

I don't take returns back to that store any more. :roll:

I've never tried to rebuy it immediately, mainly because my Kmarts are so dead, I'm sure I'll be able to get it later. Last year I returned a 360 Vision bundle I bought for $20 that still had a big yellow $20 tag on it because I found one that dropped to $8. I went back a day or two later, and there it was on the shelf with the $20 tag on it, but it rang up $8. That right there is why I love Kmart.

I hope Medal of Honor Airborne and Katamari 360 drop to $5.99 soon, I'm ready to pounce on them. Didn't realize Castlevania Portrait of Rui was now $5.99, I'm going to have to head over and see if they still have some copies left.

None of my local stores had even one copy of Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, only copies of Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. A couple of the stores you couldn't see all the ds games as they were stacked retarded but I didn't feel like bothering the electronics guy to move em. Good luck though!

I honestly would have guessed all Kmart's stocked all of their games. I find it nearly impossible to find anything in the games aisles. Though the toy aisles are much, much worse.

I picked up the last two copies of Beautiful Katamari :360: from the store by my work. One for my cousin, one for me, if I ever get a :360:. They didn't have anything else (io must've bought the last EOJ) worthwhile.

Also, nabbed Patapon for 5.99..unfortunately, not a K-mart.

I owned it briefly, and thought it was pretty good. Production values are really up there, and the concept of leveling up weapons is pretty cool. For $9.99 it's well worth it, but I'm being cheap and waiting for $5.99.
