[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

My Kmart's have been an absolute, abysmal suck pit for clearance. Literally nothing in the last three months. Worse off, one of my stores closed, so there's only two stores for me, unless I want to venture to Phoenix. I did pick up a copy of Super Robot Taisen Generation for GBA to keep sealed (already own it) and picked up a copy of Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged for a friend-- they didn't have any more of either of those, but had a few other games like Platypus and PQ2 for 5.99 each. This was the K-Mart on Lindsay and Main in Mesa, AZ.

It might be if you're trying to send it a normal rate or if you are trying to send the entire package, since more than 50% of it is packaging.

But if you send it flat rate priority mail box, you could get away with about $10-12 in shipping costs, which isn't too bad considering that makes the total package $30 and change then.

If you break it up and take it out of the package, then you can probably get away with Parcel Post. I forget what that costs to ship stuff, but it's along the lines of Media really.

Snagged Beautiful Katamari and Contra 4 today, both properly marked. The electronics section was actually the most organized part of the store today, surprisingly.

It seems to me that a lot of these games people have been mentioning - Star Trek Legacy, Moto GP 06, Disgaea 2, etc - are really old clearance games that were originally cleared out 1 - 2 years ago, then either went out of the system or were raised back up in price. I personally picked up Disgaea 2 for about $12 and Moto GP 06 for about $5 from KMart well over a year ago. I checked the price on Disgaea 2 about a month ago (knowing it was on clearance a long time ago) and it rang up $49.99. I'm wondering if all those games that "survived" the clearance cycle only to be raised back up in price (most to $19.99) have finally gone down again...

I think some stores put the games back into the system at random prices. Some stores put lower prices into the system and others raised them to full MSRP.

The reason I think that is the case is because a KMart an hour away I only get to a few times a year let me have any games that rang up as check shelf label / out of the system for $3.00 (manually entered the price). Then I was at that same Kmart I think about 2 months ago and picked up some $5.00 games a long with Musashi: Samurai Legend which I thought was an old clearance game and likely out of the system but it rang up for $3.00 (not manually entered). I guess they put it back into the system at $3.00.

Another KMart near me did the same thing, a bunch of old XBox games were put back in the system at $2.00

Good news... my local KMart had Final Fantasy 12 Greatest Hits Version REDUCED to 19.99!!! I did find Dragon Quest Rocket Slime for $15...something tells me that's not really the best deal though.

My Kmart sucks for deals. To be honest, it seems all clearances around here are pretty weak: target, toys r us(which used to have AWESOME clearances about 8 months ago and now just has like generic puzzle games on clearance), sears... it's all pretty lame.

Hey everyone, first post here! I joined CAG not too long ago and im still coming around with all the deals. I have a question regarding slash bunny's list. When I check the newly updated list of barcodes, it only gives me around 5 or 6 per system. How would I go about checking all these games in my store (Pompano Beach, FL) without pissing off the people there seeing that all the games are in the glass case?!? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You are mostly correct but if someone wants an open game, they can buy this used at GS for $19.99 and it is supposed to come with the stuff.

Anything over 13 oz. is going to have to be sent Priority, Parcel or Media. Priority and Parcel are based on the weight of the item and the zone to which that item is being delivered. Shipping in your same zone is going to be significantly cheaper than shipping from one coast to another. In my experience, Priority is literally only a few cents more that Parcel. You do have the Media Mail option but since the camera is hardware, it should not be shipped Media Mail.

It was a generous offer. I just wanted to warn you before doing any favors. After the $20, taxes, shipping, packaging and a few $ for your time, this might end up costing the buyer over $30. You would have to know all the details before deciding how much to charge your fellow CAGs and I didn't want you to "go in the hole" by helping someone out.

Just wanted to support shoe on this. The EOJ bundle weighs a little less than 1.75 lbs. Plus you would need a bigger box to ship the sealed package.

You could probably finish the game in an afternoon. The only reason I borrowed it from a friend was for the easy 1000 nerd points. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it marked as clearance for $30 at the local Best Buy this past weekend.

Wait. You BOUGHT all of those games? Seriously? Either you have alot of friends who are going to get some uber cheap Christmas presents or you plan on helping out MANY CAG's who can't find these games at their own stores, right?
