[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Probably the Samsung L300 or the BL1050. (the 1050's a bit more rare) Those are the primary cameras left for cheap. The GE's seemed to have sold out for weeks.

That's double taxation for most people. New York City taxes = 8.625% + income tax?!?

Actually that's Quadruple taxation. There's Sales Tax + eBay Tax + Paypal Tax + Income Tax! That's a chunk of $$$!!!

And why would be the benefit to limit online commerce by serving such a pivotal link towards small businesses? Most eBay businesses barely scratch profit. To sink those in further is criminal, in my opinion.

They're only taxing the profits from the sales. All those taxes/fees you mentioned are not considered profits so you're not paying income taxes on them.

There's an abundance of cheap cameras in mine, though. The $2 games have been dead for months, so if that's what you're looking for you're not gonna find it.

It is up to you to provide all the proof of expenses. The revenues just get the IRS on your trail. All I can tell you is save receipts and maybe get a good tax accountant. You would obviously be surprised that a well run eBay business DOES keep track of all these records. There are a glut of books about selling on eBay and there is usually a chapter on taxes in every (good) one.

BTW none of these authors recommend not to worry about taxes because the IRS might not enforce it because it is a bit much for them. There is no innocent until proven guilty in a tax audit. Burden is on the taxpayer. Old man speaks.......

But I'm pretty sure that taxes are collected on online revenues only if $XXXXX in revenues were actually received. (enough to consider your eBay business a true business) At least they're not treating it like a corporation. That'll suck.

Next time I find a really good haul, I will take a picture of it and rub it in all of your faces, also stating that I will sell it on ebay because I don't care about any of you getting butthurt. Which gets to the next sentence--I don't know you, I don't care about you, why should I help you out by getting a game. Some people take a bunch of stuff and resell it, some don't. BFD. Sometimes I buy cheap games and flip them on Goozex. Most of the time I buy cheap games and play them. I'm sure you all have done both things or something similar.

Can we stop talking about the morality of "hoarding" and get back to the F'N clearance topic?

I picked up Tetris Evolution, Stuntman:Ignition, DDRU3, NHL08, FIFA08, and Tiger 08 for 360. And, I have kept all of them, by the way.

Thanks, Kaydigi for posting these clearance sales. You have saved me a lot of money/spent money for games I probably would have never bought.

So...actually I've probably about broken even, but thanks anyway;)
 
Is it another week until the next video game clearance? I know it happens every 4 weeks, but I can't find when the last clearance was posted.
 
My store had 2 PS3 Rock Revolution Drum Kits for $17 each. Thought about picking one up, but Is it worth it? For playing or for flipping elsewhere? Also, I almost bought the USB pack for $10, but thought USB cords are cheaper than that other places. Are these ones any different from regular usb to usb mini cords or would a regular one work to charge the ps3 controllers?

I buy clearance games, play them for 5 minutes, then throw 'em into a pillow sack a la Sean Penn in 'Bad Boys' and club baby seals with them.

I'm planning to go to K-Mart tomorrow and I was just wanting to see if anyone has had any luck at K-Marts in the Central Florida area. All the Kmarts are a little out of the way and I checked a nearby Target and they had nothing so I was wanting to find out ahead of time if it is even worth checked.

If you're in the Orlando area, you may or may not want to check the K Mart on Semoran near the airport. I went in the other day and they had very little on clearance. When I asked about it, they said they were actually in the process of doing it, as it hadn't been done in a while. So, they may or may not have anything listed, but the prices should be set.

Thanks. It looks like that is a good 25 miles from me, so I don't know if I will be able to make it out that way or not. I'd like to head that way because it sounds like they might have some good deals if they just did it, so I will see if I can get there.

I am actually in the Windermere / Winter Garden area. There is one only a few miles from me, but it is the opposite direction I usually go. I haven't found any others yet, so I may just find the closest few to me and check them as well.

The place was a mess. So, it's typical K Mart. The only other K Mart that's left that I've been to is the one in Oviedo, ended up buying Forza 2 for $2 and Super Robot Taisen OG GBA for $6. I should go back, see what's up now.

I was curious too, because I was more interested in the drums themselves. But this is IGN's review:

I'm normally open-minded (heck, I bought Rock Revolution game only for the 360 despite bad reviews), but this scared me away from adding another peripheral to my clogged attic. :)

As for flipping them, I can't imagine it being worthwhile. Outside of pawn shops, I don't know any stores that take drum kits. And the cost of shipping would seem to prohibit that route.

Yes sir, right away sir. Like it or not, there's ALOT of this random chatter on virtually EVERY major deal thread. If the thread is too cluttered for you to follow, then that just means you have to check it more often and learn to read between the chatter.
 
i bought it for the drum set, i mean it looks nice because it has a metal frame, but it is really bad, its not as sensitive as the rock band drums at all, because the pads push down, and if you hit hard enough [VERY common] or you miss the pads [MUCH MORE common] and hit the plastic, you will set off lots of pads, especially the hi-hats. it apparently is staying as low as 17-20 dollars, and if it doesnt sell its going back to the manufacturer, so buyer beware. if i could, i would return it

Is there a separate section for clearanced toys or are they mixed in with the rest of the toys? I looked for the Megatron but didn't see any clearanced Transformers or any signs with 50% off. There weren't any G1 style transformers that I saw, just the movie ones.

From the ones I've seen, the toy section has an area for clearanced toys with big red signs saying CLEARANCE. Some stores are set-up differently of incredibly unorganized.

I have not researched irs.gov for the following information but this is what I've found via searching so far.

apparently you dont have any dumb horders around you, but around here they are DUMB, they grab the games as soon as they get a little yellow sticker on it because they think they will make a profit, I end up buying them for dirt cheap from the horders at the flea market.

Depends on the store, there should be a separate clearance section. If the store is crappy then clearance toys may still be on the regular shelf.

Megatron was an example. Sorry for the confusion and making you waste your time.

It's either this Sunday or next Sunday. I can't remember, but most likely all those $1.99 games will be 1 cent. Side note, there were some non-video game clearance items last week that actually increased in price.

This is true as the internet is serious business for some. As for me, I take no offense to being called out when I'm wrong, but I'm hardly EVER wrong. :roll::razz: Of course, there's people who take their gaming serious (trophy/achievement whores) , but that's a whole other topic.
 
I just got back from the Beach Kmart in Jacksonville, Florida, with the majority of everything I went looking for.

I picked up 2 DDR Universe 3 bundles I spotted behind some games for $12 each (Why are they on more of a clearance than DDRU1 or DDRU2?), plus one of their 2 copies of Stuntman: Ignition, which were also in a stack of games that was behind another stack, for $2.

I was just thinking I should have bought the 2nd copy at that price to just give away to a friend, but I didn't, so if anyone else is around this area, go get some awesome Stuntman action.
 
Well now that's settled, on to the next topic.

I just found out Rock Revolution for the Wii has no instruments. Damn, no cheap drums for me.

Not really interested in continuing the hoarding discussion (I've made my point, those of you with different opinions have made yours, let's agree to disagree), but I will do something to actually help you out, and point out that it doesn't matter whether you're independent or a dependent -- if you have an income, you owe income taxes. Period. If you gain it through a non-standard source (i.e. not a real job that does tax withholding) then it's up to you to report it. If you don't report it, you might well get away with it, but you might also get caught. If you're truly pulling in the amount of money that you're claiming through eBay, you're more likely to draw the interest of the IRS than someone who just occasionally throws up one or two items they don't want anymore.

It's your risk to take if you choose, and I'm not making any statement on how likely it is to happen, but just be aware that you are taking that risk and weigh it appropriately.

Saw a bunch of clearance Guitar Hero stuff for PS3, so much so that I'm not worried at all that something will be there till the next drop. Literally 17 (i counted) GH3 for PS3

It's amazing how it's OK around here to buy and flip on Goozex, GTZ or other stores, but NOT FOR CASH! Then a thread pops up and everyone gets their panties in a bunch and collectively decides that we're "not going to make any money on it anyway" for X reason.

Yes, that's why we do this, because we don't make any money on it.

Also, I RARELY get up first thing in the morning on the day of a sale, sometimes I'm even a day or two getting to the store AFTER the sale...and I can still wipe them the fuck out. Yet, that's wrong, because someone else didn't get it.

Also, I dont think its right to call hoarders or anti-hoarders stupid. Sometimes hoarders or people looking for a bargain are gross, like when people get trampled at walmart or when at some local sales one family throws a blanket over a bunch of used books and cds and then pretends like they want them all as they sort through them. sure it may be "smart" but its kinda sickening to encourage your child to grab things and hide them from other regular customers/bargain hunters.

Sometimes anti-hoarders are unconcerned with flipping, it doesnt make them dumber than "smart" hoarders.
 
I would just like to point out that, when it comes to hoarders, they're the #1 reason I've stopped posting/mentioning deals on CAG. I simply manage threads now; I don't post any of my finds. I'd rather nobody get it than some hoarder who's just going to sit on them and say "Look at me, I bought them all!". fuck hoarders, go back to slickdeals.

On another note, I got quite a haul at K-Mart today, finding a number of games that weren't posted anywhere in this thread but also dropped, including some highbrow Wii stuff. Thank the hoarders, because I'm not posting that information.

Not so fun when the shoe's on the other foot is it, you assholes?
