[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I saw someone mention in another thread that GH for PS2 (original bundle with guitar) was $24.50 at Kmart? Why have we not heard of this here, or is he just wrong?
 
I can confirm Guitar Hero bundle was $24.50 on Sunday. The price today is probably $35(without the 30% sale on clearance.) It was the original GH for PS2. Other versions scanned at full price.

Whoa! I can't believe you actually found a bundle in any store! I may have to hunt this one down...
 
Another CAG in my area got one as well. He posted in another forum and that's how I found out about it. I went to 2 KMarts. One was dry and the other had lots of clearance that were well marked and in cardboard bins. The GH bundle was behind the GH2 bundles and there was only one left. I was happy!

The one I go to by work doesn't have any, so I'll have to branch out a bit.
 
Too bad the trade in is so low and I don't own a PS2 because my K-Mart has like 5-6 of these bundles, I haven't gone to confirm the price though.

I know it's been quite a while since I've seen information on this posted, but I'm still very interested in a clearance priced Xbox Live subscription if anyone happens to spot one. I really need a 12 month one right now, so if anyone is nice enough to pick one up for me I'd be more than willing to pay a few extra bucks for your gas and trouble.

The only game on this entire list that the store I went to had was Donkey Konga 2 for 3.50. They did have Killer 7, but it was 14.99. DK2 is pretty sweet, tho.

There's no way to do it online or anything, but employees can definitely do it in store, provided you can find someone who actually does their job. The computers at K-Mart are able to search inventory by UPC # and store #. It's still not great, and it tends to be off quite a bit due to theft & numbers being entered wrong, but it can help. I always have the 6 closest K-Mart store numbers by the register in electronics so I can check the other local stores for customers(and myself of course ;)).


Also it looks like prices are finally dropping again, now that the 30% sale is over. There were a few drops this week, mostly $39.99 titles dropping to $32. I can't remember all of them, but Baiten Kaitos Origins, Open Season(360), and Superman Returns(360) were included. Also Final Fantasy XI for 360 dropped from $20 to $15.
 
I went to Kmart yesterday, and looked through the accessories for clearance prices. I saw:
360 Silver Faceplate $2.50
Some other 360 Faceplate $2.50
those were not behind glass or anything, and were actually marked. I think some Nyko 360 accessories were marked, but I forget which, it might have been the 2 battery pack plus charger thing, not sure.
Anyways, I didn't have the Kmart clearance list, so I just looked through the DS games(outside of the glass in a $20 rack) and had Trace Memory and Point Blank DS scanned, and they turned out to be both $15, so hopefully those will go down in the future. All the other DS games on the rack seemed suckish, so I didn't bother, the funny thing though is that Hotel Dusk 215 was in that rack before, I didn't have it scanned then, and now it was behind the glass.

Yes and yes. The inventory is always off on some items, but most of the time it at least gives you an idea of what to expect (or so I've found out many times). I really hate it when it comes back that we have 1 in inventory, as I almost never find what I'm looking for unless it's a fluke. Just let it be known that if you use this method and it says that the store has 12 of them, God knows where it could be in your average K-Mart. Could be an inventory mistake, could be hidden in cabinets, could still be in the stockroom and nobody's ever touched it.

There were actually quite a few drops this time. I would say nothing particularly noteworthy (for those of you still looking for the Guitar Hero I bundle, it's down to $21 if you can find it now). I would say this is the biggest drop in games since before Christmas whent it was clearance madness. As carnotaur said, there were quite a few drops for 360 games this round, which will only get better with age.

It was a solid 18-20 pages of clearance stuff, but I unfortunately didn't pay much attention to the video games as I had the pleasure of putting up 6 new display TVs and rearranging all of them to make room (I think I'm up to 40 different model TVs or more on that wall now). 8 TVs also just hit their first clearance. Nothing big, but just because I spent all night with them:

RCA 30" HDTV (tube, weighs over 120 LBs): $500, down from $650
Toshiba 30" HDTV (tube, 113 LBs, awesome picture): $360, down from $400
Sylvania 27" Flat SDTV (tube): $270, down from $300
Sylvania 27" SDTV (tube): $230, down from $260
Mangavox 27" SDTV (tube, no handles): $230, down from $250
Sylvania 20" LCD w/ built in DVD player: $375/85, down from $500
Magnavox 20" LCD: $375/85, down from $500

Like I said, nothing special, just might wanna keep an eye out for when these drop more.

I might also suggest you guys take a good look at the cameras. This clearance PLC had cameras on it as well, and for some, this is the 4th drop. I remember these:

Canon A85 (4 MP): $45
Canon A520 (6 MP): $100
Fujifilm A340/A345 (both 4 MP): $37
Kodak C340 (5 MP): $90
Kodak C310 (4 MP): $75 ???
Kodak C310/C340 bundle (camera and printer or dock): Just over $100, (awesome deal)

HP M417/M200 series (5 MP, unsure about 200 series): $47 ???

There are a few more, but if you're looking for a cheap or starter camera, I'd say swing by and ask what's below the case, as I've found at other stores that there will be cameras not out on display and just stuck right below the camera display case.

To the person asking about the XBL clearance stuff: Haven't other people mentioned that those codes are due to expire soon? Can anyone confirm this/provide an exact expiration date?

About 15 minutes from now :cry:. (It is 11:45 PM Pacific on the 30th right now). They were good through June 30th. It will be interesting to see how MS handles this as there are TONS of the 3-month kits still being sold in stores. These have 6/30/07 expirations for the 3-month card itself and for the Joust game code. I think the 100 MS points do not have an expiration - but I doubt anyone will be happy paying $29.99 for 100 MS points. Same goes for the 12-month kits with Bankshot Billiards in them. A very special CAG has gotten my extra Bankshot Billiards code - I made sure to redeem all my various cards (I had a few one month ones left) by this afternoon just to be safe. Now I have XBL covered until November 2009 at a highly discounted rate ;).

We ought to know soon enough. It sure doesn't seem like MS did anything about this old stock - you'd think they would have asked for them back so they didn't have to deal with customer service issues if they expire. Maybe they will do the smart thing and just let them continue to be used.

Upon further review...these Toshibas do NOT look like a good choice. Bad reliability and bad HD picture quality.
 
Be careful of the Xbox Live kits. I saw two at my Kmart, one 12 month one and one 3-month starter kit. They both said on the top of the box that the subscription must be started by 3/31/07. Obviously no good.

I got one of the 12 month kits with PGR2, Xbox Live Arcade, and a headset. It said it expired on 3/31/07, but I used to activate my account last night, and it worked without any problems.

I bought one about a week ago and used it with no problem. My K-Mart still has another one. I feel kind of dumb for not buying both during the 30% off sale.

Aw, too bad. I'd really like a tube HDTV. Firepro wrestling with any sort of lag is unacceptable to me. The search continues...

I was looking for a headset and saw one of these as well. I spoke with the manager and asked if they would sell it for $15 since the cards expired and all I was after was the headset. She saw the 3/31 expiration and agreed and marked the item down.

I gave the expired card a shot figuring that it couldn't hurt to try and it applied to my account just fine. So $15 for headset + game + 1 year of gold... not bad.

It was scanning as $40 in Portsmouth NH K-Ma-part.
 
I forget and I can't get to xbox.com at work, how much time in advance can you stack a gold membership? I remember someone talking about there being a limit.

The A520 is a 4MP camera, not 6MP. But it is the A520 that is a $100.

Checked this out and met the electronics manager who showed me all the tags and they had many of the models in the back, but not in the display or in the case. I remember the A520 being the subject of many deal threads at FW.

Personally I have a 4.1 Sony Cybershot that takes better pics than my 6mp HP camera, due to better sensors. I hear the Canon optics are terrific.

No idea about a limit, but I've managed to get my Gold status to expire in April of 2009 after using two 12-month kits I bought.

I picked a 360 live kit up for $12 with the headset, it was last week one day before it expired. ;) It was the last one at my K-mart in denver. My account is good until Oct. 2009.
 
I found a Super Monkey Ball 2-Pack (GC) for $15 and another copy of Metroid Prime Pinball (DS) for $3.50. Both are available for trade.

Your probably right, at least afew places seem to sell it for $29.99 new now. I know I saw it for that much at my local Wal Mart about a week ago and my Wal Mart is the opposite of some of the Wal Marts I've read about on CAG that do up a crazy low YMMV clearance sale on games.
