[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I lucked out at the one in Columbus - Bethel Road. Found in the non-locked area a Donkey Konga 2 without the bongos that I got for $2.45 after the 30% discount!

They also had quite a few of the 360 games, and plenty of Disgaea 2's, but I've relented on buying those at this point, even at the low prices, can't afford 'em just yet.

On another note, the Xbox Live 12-month packs are LONG gone (I got one for $24 several months ago) but what is the deal with the 3-month packs? My stores all have tons of those and they were put out at the same time. It's wierd they haven't clearanced those. I suppose since there hasn't been a replacement for those (like the Vision cam packs for the 12-month kits) they didn't feel the need to clearance them. I'm also waiting for those vision cam sets to go on clearance anywhere - probably not till next year though.

One of my Ks has a 360 HD player on clearance for 170ish. Even with the extra 30% off, that's still too high for me. If it dropped enough before it gets grabbed, it's mine.

WTF?[/quote]I double checked those as well. Tales was 29.99, Wario Ware Twisted 19.99. Tales I can understand it's still newer. Twisted is MUCH older and has been clearanced out at so many places over the years it's not funny. The game however, is. I think that's still my fav Wario Ware game.
 
I found an XBL 12mo kit with Mechassault and headset yesterday for $4...bought it on the spot. When I got home, I'd found that someone had taken the subscription card out of the box. I'm not sure whether to go back to the store to explain and return, or call MS and see if they'll hook me up (wishful thinking), or just eat the $4 and forget the 20 minute drive it would take (prob 1 gallon of gas round trip). I'll probably just eat it. Trade it in at GS during the promotion for Halo 3 preorders...
 
Found a Disgaea 2 and Rogue Galaxy. This is my 2nd Rogue Galaxy, bought he first one at a GS B2G1 but had second thoughts and sold it for my money back.

At $14, though, I can live with letting it sit.

Also picked up GCN Chronicles of Narnia for $9.xx, fan of the books and reviews weren't horrible....
 
Picked up Baten Kaitos Origins for $14 and Romancing Saga for $10.50 today. Might go back tomorrow and hope there is actually someone working in electronics so that I can get inside the case to see if there is anything in there I want.
 
Do we know for sure if the 30% off ends today? I have one more store I'd like to check out and don't necessarily want to go there today. But I will if I have to...

eldergamer - it sounds like you got the manager of that particular Electronics section. He's a bit loath to help people get games out. If you get one of the younger guys it should be better. The manager said with a smirk to me one time "ebay?" when I was buying some multiple (no more than 2 of each) old Xbox and PS2 games for $2. Yeah, right - that's about what they were all worth. Of course, they were for the EB/GS $10 extra for 3 trades promo last Fall ;). But that's none of his damn business.

Having said all that, the games you had them check are not on the clearance list, so chances are they were what he said they were. If you doubt them, though, try bringing in a UPC of any game you might want to check and scan it at the floor scanners.

I didn't pay attention, just saw big 50% off signs outside where the 30% off signs were weeks ago. X-Men & THAW rung up as $14.00. They also had a 26" Syntax (spl?) on clearance. I think the sign said $600 but that doesn't seem very clearance-y. With 30 or 50% off its not a bad deal, although it is a bad TV.

About a week ago, I finally found Drill Dozer at my nearest KMart. I'm guessing some inventory got shipped and dumped at that location, as I've always heard that that location is used for products that don't really move. Of course, this is after looking there for several months.

I was surprised to find some good deals on clothes with the 50% off, I got 3 pairs of shorts for $5 each (I need them for work where my clothes get dirty from cardboard boxes that have been sitting in warehouses for months). I wish they would go to 50% off on everything.

Annoying is I went to the games section and the entire game case was moved behind the counter. You can't browse for the games youself and have to ask an employee to check for the game you want (that will be lots of fun with a clearance list and you ask about 10+ different games)

I don't know if this is new or not but I went by yesterday and did a price check on Tales Of Legendia which was marked as $15, and it came up as $10.50.

Picked up Disgea 2 at the Kmart on 27th St. in Milwaukee for 17.50...there was still one left. Also one left mostly hidden behind the other PS2 games in the glass case at the Hwy 100 Kmart.

I found a kmart where an employee fetched me their stock from the back. I had around 20 wavebirds bundled w/ metorid. Sold a few, kept 2, and.... and....


RETURNED ABOUT 15 TO ANTOHER KMART!!!! I just couldn't move them.. they were selling for $25 or so new, and Metroid was worth $8-$10.... but the wave birds were slow sellers as was metroid.


This was about a year ago, before we knew were confirmed to work on the Wii...

I nabbed a Wavebird new at my local Sears on clearance here recently. They only had one and it was priced $23.98. That was the first one I've seen in my area in the past year or so.

Just wanted to give a heads up, I found 2 of the 882224058674 Xbox Live 12-Month Premium Gold Pack $24/$36 at my local Kmart today marked down to $8 in the computer, needless to say I decided to re-up my subscription for a few years. So if any are still around, they may be even cheaper!

I asked them to price check and no one would they would just read the price on the box.

Also sometimes you can get POL to reactivate FFXI accounts but then again CoP was forever ago.

N3 is alright... I love the gameplay and environment but I think the game is a little too short...
From what I hear the sequel is coming out and I hope it is a little longer compared to this one. So is it worth the $7.50... I believe so but I like the characters in the game and how each story line is like a different universe spinoff during the same time period.

You should just bring a printout of the bar codes like this thread suggests.

Wait, is this a local store thing only? It doesn't match the other prices and in the OP (which I thought was from the current round) it is listed at $32 (so would be $22.40 after 30% off).

It's just that $7.49 doesn't seem like 30% off any standard clearance price. That would make the clearance price $10.70, which is just odd.

Did it ring up with the 30% off or was this some local thing? I'm pretty sure I saw that along with most of the other 360 games. I was waiting on sub-$10 for all of them so I passed. But I would have grabbed that one if I had known it would be $7.49.
