[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Target is always a dry spot for me, so I could give a shit less what drops to clearance there. Unless I've pulled the El Stasho routine there I never find anything beyond 2-3 weeks out from when the stuff first ends up hitting clearance since the normal shmucks and Ebay assholes grab up everything once it hits 30% off.:roll:

Plus it doesn't help that my local Target stores don't seem to drop stuff at the same rate as I've seen reported on CAG. If they did, I might have a reason to be there at opening to check on a weekly basis. But seeing the same shit for the same percentage off for 3 weeks in a frickin' row gets old fast.

But Sears clearance games only dropping a piddily dollar each and Kmart's clearance games stagnating for months now worries me, since I've grabbed the bulk of my clearance deals from both of those stores even since before I joined CAG.

I don't know about anyone else but the few Kmarts near where I live have been actually marking their clearance items. That is making it easy for anyone who is looking over games to find easy bargains. :cry:

It might be in my neck of the woods, since one of the closer stores to me used to have many of those games, including a full stack of about 8-10 copies of Last Remnant, 3-5 copies of the Scene It bundle and various other goodies.

I even found no less than FOUR copies of the GC version of Twilight Princess over 3-4 of my local Kmarts.:razz:

Luckily for me the one store with the bulk of those games seemed to have lapsed in marking them again.;)

It must've been unburied by people digging through those games on the shelf by the main cases then. I was shocked to see it sitting out there when I found it.

Thing is, besides that copy the one store halfway to WB had two copies and one of the stores down the line had TWO copies. I grabbed one at that furthest store and left the other one.:cry: It's either buried in the one case that has a mish mash of every system's games or someone else bought it since it was gone the last time I was there.

But the 2-4 copies of X-Blades for PS3 were still there.:lol:

well, i have some cases from the other HWV, i had to cut down the HWV artwork for it to fit in PS3 case. So i could use the artwork and manual. Honestly tho, once i get platinum i'm gonna dump it. But i also picked up AVP extinction (ps2) from HWV for like $4.xx last week. You have the artwork for that one? WOW, way off topic...sry people.
 
Seeing the AC/DC Rockband Track pack dropped, does anyone know if any of those other track packs went down as well?
Of course I could look myself but the employees at the store im stuck going to are more likely to hide instead of help.

That seems to be YMMV, I checked 2 different KMarts this week and it scanned for $4.99 for the PS3 version at both stores. I didn't scan anything else since that was all I had on my UPC sheet (besides older clearance games that don't drop).
 
So is Tales of Vesperia 29.99? I just bought it at GS but I might return it and pick up the new copy at my Kmart. Did anyone who bought Tales get theirs in an eco case? It seems like my buddy may have, so that would mean it got reisued somewhere down the line right? The one I got from GS is an OG copy I think.

I hate the selection of games at my Kmart. There is still a healthy selection of clearance, but instead of having games from the clearance list, like DDR Universe 1 and 3 or American Idol KR 2, they have DDRU 2 and AI:KR 1. I always get excited when I see them and then disappointed when I see the number of the series.

Found a copy of the first Katamari Damacy for PS2 for $14.99. They used to have a bunch and then they vanished and now one turns up again. I've still got a copy at home but I am unsure on whether I want a sealed copy or not. Seems like it would be a good buy but I don't know.

Does anyone have a link to the post where one of the SHC guys posted a jacked-up clearance list? It seems like so many pages back. If not, I will dig back and try to find it.

Yep, similar to my DDRU and American Idol:KR comment in my above post, this is another one that gets me. I go in, see a ton of copies of Scene It: LCA and remember, "Oh yeah, Scene It is on the list, let me check on my phone." And then I see it is the OTHER Scene It, which is not there. Kmart gets my hopes up so many times, only for them to be dashed when CAG loads up on my phone.
 
I got Wal Mart to price match on Star Ocean, I wanted to buy all there copies but most of them were jacked up due to negligence. Yes out of 10 Brand New copies 8 I could not buy because I couldn't flip them either here or elsewhere beacause it would be a lie to say they were "Brand New" and I thought GameStop was bad.

There's batteries in that package? Hmmmm. That explains why the packages are so damned heavy then. I wonder what Gamestop gives in cash for the game/buzzers by themselves.

Then again, I still have a full pack and a half of the batteries I got on clearance a few years ago from Circuit City for $2 or so a pack.:cry:

Reminds me of some of the cheap games at walmart here.

They are so messed up that if you ever had to return it you wouldn't be able to. Because there is like literally no shrinkwrap left on them haha.

The PS1 multitap and multiple copies of Mark Of Kri that I saw locally that both finally clearanced out last year seem to point to the answer being yes to that.:roll:

Hopefully it's just a temporary stalling of the clearance cycles that'll resolve itself, since Kmart is still one of my goldmines as far as clearance goes.

In that case, they probably saw all of the $2-5 games and figured since no one was buying anything else with them that they should keep the prices higher for a bit longer. Although some of the clearance games are a steal at the prices they're currently at. Some of the best examples are Star Ocean: Last Hope:360:($5), Star Wars: Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition:ps3:($20) and Heavenly Sword:ps3:($20).

i saw guitar hero world tour guitar bundle for 29.99 they didnt have the big box if they did i would have picked it up, so i could have a bunch of plastic instruments in my house that i would probably never ever play !

Picked up a Rock Band "triple tree guitar holder" for 4.99.

Also got a pair of PSP headphones for 4.99.

There were tons of PSP accessories marked down.
 
Looked over the list the wife brought home, nothing but MSRP drops (which are finally getting to be almost Walmart prices). Tons of drops in the camping area though, including a few bikes that dropped from $200ish down to ~$80. And badboy32, who's the girl in your "if looks could kill" banner?
 
Much to my surprise last week, I passed by a Kmart while housesitting for my brother. I didn't realize there was still one in the area; I thought they'd all closed when Kmart filed for bankruptcy. I popped in to see what I could see, it was like a time capsule. There were Gamecube games (never thought I'd see another one of those in a store again), non-greatest/platinum hits versions of older games, and even a 360 copy of the Grand Theft Auto 4 CE, which rang up at full price. I'm surprised it hasn't hit clearance by this point, or at least dropped by 30 bucks to coincide with the regular version's price drop, but if it's lasted 2+ years already, it'll definitely last to see a clearance price.

I left with four games - Mass Effect (non-platinum hits), Dead Rising (non-platinum hits - I've been hoping to find one since they never reprinted the game without the old PH boxart, which was painful to look at), Civilization Revolution (impossible to find in this area - believe me, I've searched), and The Last Remnant. I'm going back sometime soon to check out what they have behind the glass. It's a clusterfuck back there with nearly 6 different games on each facing. No telling what I'll find tucked away behind the front games.
