Since the Southern CA Thread is up, I figured it might be a good idea to post a thread for the locals of the Bay Area. Maybe we can do some face-to-face trades, make posts of inventory in various local stores, post any local sales, etc.

Send me a PM and I will put your name on the list below (PM's are easier for me to keep track of everyone). I will send you a confirmation when I put your name on the list.:
Well, I'll be damned. How you been doing?

I don't think he really plays 3S seriously. Like I said, he kinda just dabbles in it. He used to come here (he's guido_anchovy), but he moved on to other boards. I'll let him know you're on CAG, and he just might come back.
meh, can't complain. kinda pissed i couldn't make it to evo this year, too busy working a 96 hour week

probably wouldn't have done too well against all those chuns anyway.

haha, let him know i'm on 2df/ggpo now and then. if he wants to get some games in i'm always down. this is really the only thread i look at on here though. ever since bzchan posted about that spot to pick up HRAP3's i've been checking back every so often. that user's side place is awesome.
Anyone know if stores in SF or in Daly City still have the Pokemon DS lite?
I saw one in the Oakland Walmart today... Though I don't know if you'd want to out all the way out here just for that. But it's there... ;)
Shhh metaly, you weren't supposed to reveal that info... :whistle2:$
So you were the one running through the Walmart trying not to be seen.

I think I can make that focus test. Can someone post or PM me the number they call from? Last time they called me I missed the call since I usually ignore numbers I don't know.
I started school :/
I am going to take a momentary pause to laugh uncontrollably about how much that sucks.

Lol,yeah.
But it's better then doing nothing at home.
Anyone know if stores in SF or in Daly City still have the Pokemon DS lite?
We should still have some at the CC near Serramonte. You even get a Pokeymanz toy for buying one this week!
Lol,yeah.

Metaly, Freaky or anyone out here...did anyone check their local Targets to see if they got the PS3 Madden 09 Collector's Edition for $49?

Let me know if you can snag a copy. I'll pay for cost, shipping, etc.

--Michael

What's the deal with the Madden CE? Just a pricing mistake? I'll be in the area later so I could do a quick check.

Nevermind, forgot I am temporarily without a credit card. fuck @ card thieves. :bomb:

Hey guys. Some Targets have Madden 2009 C.E. for :ps3: for $62.88 and some for $44.98.

I got mine for $44.98 after doing a return/rebuy there. I guess I was lucky.

They also had WWE Raw vs Smackdown 2008 for $19.98 as well as Unreal Tournament for $19.98.

If anyone can find Skate for $19.98, let me know. I'll get it at that price.

Which Target did you get yours at? Thanks for the info.

Hey metaly! Fun SCIV fights we had going yesterday. :)

Flavor Flav is quickly starting to become my favorite custom character... mostly because of the 'pimp hand' staff. ;)
I wonder what new character I should create next... :whistle2:k
Which Target did you get yours at? Thanks for the info.
I got mine first at the Palo Alto store. They had 2 left for the price of $62.98. I figured to buy one and in case I didn't want it at that price, I can return it.

I then went to the Sunnyvale store and they were out of stock HOWEVER, they looked up the price and sure enough, it was $44.98. I then went over to Customer Service and did a return/rebuy. I was lucky and they allowed me to do it. Therefore, I got the C.E. for only $44.98.

I think the only other store that might have some copies is the store over in Saratoga. I don't know the price but I should know and post it here in a bit.

--Michael

By Palo Alto do you mean the one on Showers Drive? I actually ended up there yesterday and I saw they had two CEs left. I only took a quick peek but it looked like they were listed at around $80... didn't sound like a deal price to me. It's cool that you got it for $45, though.

There was a time when I'd go for a $20 Skate, but I think I'll just wait for Skate 2. Also it's getting to the point where even I have too many games. Help! :whee:

And freaky, good fights yesterday. Michael Jackson is a
lizard
cop killer! :whistle2:#

If you mean the Target by the Walmart across the street, then that is the one.

There were some copies available this morning and throughout the day at the Target on Saratoga Ave and they were confirmed at $44.98. I'll see if there's anymore tomorrow.

Yep, that'd be Mountain View. But if it'd hurt your rep to be seen outside Palo Alto, don't fret - your secret's safe with us.

Woo I got into that Capcom testing. This time they messaged me through the Capcom Unity site instead of calling. Last time I missed their call. Can't wait to play their new game and get some free stuff!

Just got to the Bay area... I live in the city, Nob Hill area. Where are the best/closest game stores, new or used? ;) I have a car but would prefer Muni/Bart options as it is much easier.

Anyone looking to unload a copy of GH3 for Wii? My disc was damaged during the move (left it in the Wii, doh) but both guitars are fine. Otherwise I need to find a new/used copy at a store nearby.

Hmm, Nob Hill rents are just so conducive to videogame retail margins... :)

Gamestop on Powell near Market (used to be an EB, might not be totally GSfied yet, which is a good thing in my book).
Circuity City at Van Ness/Post. Even if nothing good's on sale, you can always entertain yourself trying to find a particular game in their chaotic racks.
Best Buy on Geary/Masonic. Might be further than the one on Harrison, but maybe more convenient for you via Muni.
There's probably a BBV around, maybe on Bush. I'm not a BBV shopper so can't help you there.

I'm gonna bet most bay area caggers are done with MGS4, but I thought I'd post about this. While I was picking up a Tales of Vesperia SE at a GameCrazy I came across 6 MGS4 LE Guides. It was the Gamecrazy off Blossom Hill in Los Gatos. The guys there are really nice, they even threw in two MGS4 bandannas. I've been looking for this guide for a long time and was happy to finally find it.

As well has anyone seen any Indiana Jones Mighty Muggs. I'm looking for Sean Connery's Dr Henery Jones. Who is part of series 2 of the Indy Muggs.

Oh and its hot :hot:

Focus test was alright. The guy said we were allowed to tell people we played Flock since it has been announced already, but nothing else. I'm sure if you google a video of the game you'll get an idea of how fun it was.

Swag was alright too. Got some XBLA points, SFIV stuff, DMC4 guide, and Harvey Birdman for Wii. If anyone wants Birdman and wants to trade me something small for it let me know. I already have a copy, Its a fun version of Phoenix Wright that reads itself outloud

Still fuckin hot. Jeeeezus. Also, heads up that Rasputin Berkeley has gotten a bunch of nice PS3 games in lately, including several copies of GTA IV for $30, Bad Company for $25, MGS4 for $25, and Oblivion: GotY for $25. I'd have gotten them to hock but frankly it's just not worth the time anymore. Nobody's willing to pay more than $35 for any game these days :p

If anyone needs/wants a Wii Fit, I would check out your local Gamecrazy store.

They had about 20 Wii Fits and about 6 copies of Mario Kart Wii with the wheel at the Santa Clara location.

I wonder if all the GameCrazy stores had shipments, but I talked the guys at the Capital Square (McKee Rd.) location and they told me they had 10 (I saw 4 in the front for sure).

Where are the games in rasputin? I never see them when I'm in there.
Lameness. But, that's what DS's are for.
Not when your at a strict on rules school. The teachers and staff are nice, but when you break the rules they are serious.
50 bucks is this Xbox game that rare?
It is not that rare but hard to find one in good condition. Also it comes with a huge control and shipping is not cheap if you buy on ebay
