Because the clearance talk for Sears has been as dead as their actual clearance as of late, so why not?;)
 
Hit the jackpot in Oxford Valley Mall near Philly tonight. Got a Cisco Wireless N USB adapter for $21 and a whole bunch of games were in a bin marked at 4.99 I grabbed a bunch and there were several more there. Here's what I picked up:
:360: Madden 10
Mass Effect
Fable II PH
Ninja Gaiden II
Lego Rockband
Lego Batman
Project Sylpheed

:ps3: MGS 4
Dead Space GH
Soul Caliber IV
Burnout Paradise
Devil May Cry 4
Blacksite Area 51

There were alot of DS games in there also and some older :360: PH titles
 
If it matters to anyone, my brother found FEAR for 360 for me at Sears last week at 26.97. It's the original version (not the PH re-release) so if it once was on clearance, it ain't at my store.

I thought the same thing. It is definitely YMMV because it was a "manager's special" I meant to say that before but forgot figured I'd give everyone in the area a heads up tho

Wasn't interested in either game, sticker price was $9.99 but for $3.97 might have to pick up smash hits. Thanks
 
Nothing of note @ my Sears game related. Although I did see they had some Virgin Mobile Prepaid phones for $5/each.

Not bad @ all considering you can get UNLIMITED text & web w/ 300 minutes for $25/mth.

Set foot in a Sears for the first time in years yesterday. No luck.

They had a bunch of Mass Effect on "clearance" for $19.99. They also still had Prey for $40. Hilarious.

I think it was some Kyocera flip phone. Sorry I can't remember the name of it right now.

They were priced @ like $5.38 w/ handwritten stickers. It said the reason was because they were opened/returned, however they had 10-20 of them & only one of them was really opened. The rest were brand new unopened in their (annoying) clamshell packaging.
 
One of the Sears near me had a Manager's Special of an additional 40% off all clearance items. Games were bone dry except for one copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS3, game only) for $3.97 before the additional discount.
 
the Sears in a mall I go to about once a month has a bunch of games behind glass but no prices at all. doesn't help that there are no workers nearby.

Could be a gold mine. Print out UPCs and scan them at a nearby scanner next time.

Ace Combat 4 PS2: .97
A Boy and His Blob Wii:3.97
Also bought Tiger Woods '08 for the PS3 for 3.97, but ended up returning it to my local Sears as I decided I just couldn't pay that much for such an old game.

Finally hit my Sears to see what they had from the last drop. I was gonna check just a few games, but the girl working there recognized me from my previous trips, grabbed her clearance list from the register, and read me all the good deals. I wound up with:

x4 :ps3: GH Metallica - $3.97
x1 :ps3: GH World Tour - $3.97
x1 :ps2: Cars - $0.25
x1 :ps2: Tiger Woods '09 - $0.97 (gonna donate it and Cars somewhere)

After reading through the list, she went to the back and produced a copy of :360: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Republic Heroes for $3.97. She even volunteered (volunteered) to scan everything in the back and hold anything good for me this week. She's told me in the past that they keep a lot of marked down games back there, so I'm curious to see what she'll find. And that, my friends, is why I love my Sears.

Just a small updated

Next Markdowns are this coming Friday (obviously as its the first friday)

I scanned 2 games to see their next price since I was busy.

12.97 game dropped to 10.97
8.97 game dropped to 6.97

So it looks like the drops are continuing on this trend. Maybe a $2 trend now?

Im going to try to scan a bunch more different priced games tomorrow to get a better idea of how this month will go.
 
I went to a store today that had I guess a manager's special that some others talked about at their local stores.

I got these for $0.97:
Guitar Hero World Tour 360, scanned $8.97 I think
Tiger Woods 08 360, scanned $8.97
Twisted Metal Head On PS2, scanned $19.99

Same here as 90% of the "usual" clearance games have been completely wiped out from my store by now.

There are a lot of awesome games sitting at 29.99 in the bin with the actual clearance that would be great to get for $20 or $15

Yeah, it won't matter to me whether they're really high priced as long as they start the process.

Every sears I go to has plenty of stock that will never sell at $59.99. (or even $39.99)

Are the Manager's Specials marked at all?
 
They had the spines of the cases tagged .97 with a handwritten label and adjusted them when they rung them up. There was no sign but I knew it was a managers special since they weren't down to .97 on the clearance cycle

Only saw those once a while back, with a Spyril game for the GBA. I think they may do it with OSS stock if they can't send it back, but I really don't know.
 
Picked up two pair of $45 blue-jeans for a total of $10.60

Not bad IMO.

As to games, I wanted to get the TNA game for Wii just to get a $.47 game or whatever it's down to, but both copies had the lame $14.99 UPC on them.

Anyway, It is almost Friday *crosses fingers for new games to enter the clearance cycle* :D
 
I scanned a handful more games the other day and they were all $2 drops across the board. I scanned things that were 19.97 or less. All 2 dolla drop.

Will be interesting to see if anything new dropped though.
