This is what I'd like to know as well. I already got the rest of the achievements, but I haven't been able to get this one to go through. I'm assuming you have to surrender during a ranked game, but it hasn't worked for me yet. Does anyone know if I am supposed to play for a certain amount of time before surrendering?

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally got it. I started the ranked match and played for about 30 seconds before surrendering. Then it gave me the loss and the U MAD, BRO? achievement.
Can confirm that "U MAD BRO?" is achieved simply by quitting a ranked match after a short length of time. You can combine it with "Some Like It Hot" if you build 3 lava towers first. To do so:

1) upgrade your mines to produce more gold;

2) build three big fook-off lava towers (they take up seven hexes);

3) quit, leaving your opponent rather miffed as he/she probably thought they had an actual game on their hands.

Took me around 15 minutes to get the two (three opponents got U MAD BRO? before I found somebody willing to hang around long enough for me to do my achievements)

I've been playing ENSLAVED™: Odyssey to the West™ Premium Edition and I gotta say I'm very impressed. It's a great game so far, very enjoyable indeed. It's much better with a controller than kb/mouse, I tried the kb/mouse first and it was terrible.

There's an opportunity to get the "Mined the Gap" cheev reward fairly soon in the game when the first minefield appears. There's a mech in the middle of it, keep replaying from that checkpoint until you knock him into a mine.

I'm still workin on the second reward but I'm really enjoying this game.

Ah. So it was just update. Well it's still not available in Finland, so... I have good reason of not having heard of it (apart of not touching anything console related) :)
Don't worry. I'm sure you guys will get it once your continent comes into the 00s.

That achievement and its promotion via Playfire seem like terrible ideas.

It really is. I just kept playing real games until I saw Flowette the other person immediately build a lava tower (no point to those competitively, especially at the beginning of a match), then quit. The whole achievement list for that game is poorly thought out, luckily it s pretty fun.

The two Rise of the Triad cheevs were pretty easy, but I'm pretty sure they were glitched and unlocked without doing the correct thing.

Rise of the Triad - unlock Fool Me Once - £0.10

This one seems glitched, but the way I got it was on the first level after shooting a guy, he was begging for his life. I let him live, but he dropped dead afterwards. I then killed the next guy I saw and it gave it to me.

Rise of the Triad - unlock Beaglefaaaace! - £0.10

You get the dog power-up on level 3. After using the silver key you'll crawl through some vents. Eventually you'll be in a room with a bunch of trucks, it's behind one of the first trucks you see. Once you have some enemies you're supposed to hold down fire for a few seconds I believe, but I just bit at people and it unlocked.
Can confirm that both of these seem bugged in the player's favor.

Fool Me Once doesn't require you to be killed by the soldier begging for his life, just that he gets up and you then kill him. That will happen on its own within 5 minutes of starting the game, probably.

Beaglefaaace! I'm not really sure what's wrong with. I killed about 12 people by biting them, then used the dog bark ability and killed maybe one soldier, so you might just need the bark anywhere in a big combo with the dog.

Both are relatively easy to get and take maybe 45 minutes altogether depending on how fast you do the levels. It's a pretty entertaining way in a fantastically dumb way. Really true to the original, with all that entails.

Rise of the Triad - unlock Beaglefaaaace! - £0.10

Enable console from Settings

Type DIPSTICK

Type start entry

Spawn enemies as needed & pick dog pickup.

I suppose same works for Fool Me Once.

I just got the Hipster cheev on Borealis. You too can get this amazing achievement! Here's how!

Start the game on Score mode, don't get hit. Pretty soon the screen will pixelate and the colors will change to green. Now you are in Retro mode. DO NOT PANIC! Continue to not get hit. Cheev will pop up after a while when the graphics return to normal.

Relax, breathe out and feel free to get hit now because you are 10p richer.

Just tried ORION Dino Horde/Prelude for the first time for rewards.

Holy shit that game is awful.

Uninstalled that shit immediately.

EDIT: Ok, I relented until I got the "Kill 100 dinosaurs" cheev. So I played online and it was ok. Still pretty poor graphically and laggy but it was more fun.

I think the developers were paying GMG and playfire in the hopes of sales for their game.

I have $3.91 in my Playfire account, but my GMG account gas $0.00 in credit...
you may want to first go into your playfire page and then click on the spend it button in the upper right hand side of the page which will take you to GMG site

it may take a little time i.e. 12-24 hours for your playfire balance to be on your GMG meaning that playfire may have $5 since you just got some credits today but GMG only shows $4 since $1 credit earned just now now "transferred" over yet

These two are dead easy:

 • Sanctum 2 - unlock Gibbs, gibbs everywhere  - £0.10
 • Sanctum 2 - unlock One shot, one kill - £0.10
For Gibbs, gibbs everywhere, select the third map in the first area. There's some mines on the desk to your right, and a couple more in front of you. Pick up 3-4 of them, start the wave, and drop them at the portal entrance. Kaboom! 10p is yours.

One shot, one kill, select the second map on the first area. Pick the robot character with its sniper rifle. All you have to do is one-shot four robots without reloading. Set up a few machine gun towers to wear them down, and then shoot them when their health is low to kill.

Both took me about 15 mins of figuring out/execution. Totally worth it for that 20p of credit I can't even spend.

:whee:

Didn't totally nick the advice from NeoGaf I swear (ok ok it came up on Google)

Let's try this again, without the forum crashing.

Dammit, I just unlocked two LA Noire achievements - Traffic Stop a week ago, and Asphalt Jungle yesterday. I might be able to get the other two, I'm a bit over halfway done with the game and planned to get 'em anyway.

GMG has a pretty sweet SEGA Bundle for $3.96

Viking: Battle for Asgaard

Crazy Taxi

Binary Domain

Alpha Protocol

I only had Binary Domain so I picked this up with the last of my PF credit.

Edit: They're separate Steam keys

Is this one glitched? I've watched 3-5 enemies blow up at once doing this but it never unlocks.

L.A. Noire - unlock Johnny On The Spot - £0.25

L.A. Noire - unlock Star Map - £0.50
Might as well share some pointers for this.

Star Map is unlocked by visiting all the landmarks in the game. This should be possible to get as soon as Free Roam mode is unlocked after clearing the second set of cases (Traffic), about three to four hours into the game. A map can be seen here. It takes quite a bit of time driving.

Johnny On The Spot is unlocked by clearing 20 Street Crime cases. Just play through the game normally and when a crime happens, go kill some bad guys. You can also clear these by going into Free Roam mode, but this one might take a while to get because you don't get 20 crimes by the time it's unlocked. I'm about halfway through the game and barely got around 20ish crimes pop up, and only cleared 10.

The game's pretty cool, the story is really awesome. The physics bugs are also hilarious. :p

I'm liking this playfire reward thing.  I have such a huge backlog of games i find myself very indecisive at picking games to play, and with Playfire giving out rewards I'm trying out games I never would've otherwise tried.  I was able to unlock every Metro Last Light Redux reward, and since I got the game from the Amazon price glitch last week, that's over half my money back (exchanging Amazon credit for GMG credit).   Pretty awesome reward just for playing a game.  Just got the Sanctum 2 ones, and actually enjoyed playing Sanctum and I never would've otherwise tried it.

About to start up LA Noire~  This is fun playing games to earn credit for more games :)

It was a lot better when you could earn a bit of credit for playing a game for the first time. They still do it rarely, but they used to do it for a lot of older games as well. It was the perfect incentive for me to finally download and try some of the games that have been clogging up my backlog.

The fact that its not really a sandbox game threw a lot of people. Its a very linear game with some minor free-roam stuff, but I really enjoyed it. I thought the music and atmosphere was top notch, and I really enjoyed the character interactions. Granted, some of the questionings behaved oddly, but that's because the options weren't originally "truth/doubt/lie", but "coax/force/lie". That's why sometimes, when you wanted Cole to seem skeptical he'd just start yelling at the person. They changed the options but didn't re-record the lines.

A friend and I both managed to get it. I think you might have to be the one doing the killing blow - i.e. a tower doesn't count.

It's easiest when you do it via a mine (using the mine dispenser tower) at a choke on like the 3rd map or so (the one where there's 3 spawn points) where you get a bunch of the low-hp runner creeps. Make sure you don't put any damage towers near and it should be easy.

The sniper one i got on the same map. I funneled all 3 lanes to a single kill zone and let the towers do the job. The lane with the low hp creeps happens to be from the one spawn point on the other side of the map too on like the 3rd wave or so - there should be plenty of time. Just don't shoot at anything over a certain hp and if you miss, immediately reload.

Orborun Steam keys are up on Groupees for those who bought it in the Bundle Yourself bundle. There's a PFTFT reward for it ending Thursday.

Thanks for the advice.  While I'm pretty sure the mines are killing them (no other damage towers around), I haven't unlocked the mine tower yet so I'll try to get that and give it another go.

Question for anybody who's unlocked the A New Beginning - Final Cut achievements:

How far into the game are they? I've just hit Chapter 5 and don't have either. I get the horrible feeling that they're not story-related and I might have missed them.

I think you are really close to "Boo!" that one definitely is story related and unmissable. The other one has something to do with shaking the fuses behind Oggy 3 times, I think thats in chapter 3 according to this thread.

You will unlock "Boo!" after [customspoiler=spoiler]you meet your ex-coworker in research lab[/customspoiler]during chapter 5.

And "Agent Agitator" can be unlocked on helicopter.

Just do what Honeybaked Ham mentioned above.

I was just trying to learn how to use the spoiler function...

I have this horrible feeling that I went past Chapter 3 before hitting Save for the first time.

There's no way to go back, is there?

I used Sweet. The second wave on that map (3) spawns a lot of tiny "spiders". You'll get the achievement easily, without the mines.

LEGO Lord of the Rings rewards hints as I go ...

First one you can get is "It won't be that easy" ... at the end of the Prologue level ... don't walk to the end of the rock outcrop over the centre of the lava inside Mt Doom or you'll activate a cut scene and miss out on this cheev. Instead, playing as Isildur, jump off the side and into the lava first.
