I kickstarted Shadowrun Returns, and I had no idea this game existed until literally yesterday.

I $15 kickstarted Shadowrun Returns and recently Shadowrun Hong Kong, because I liked what Harebrained was doing (and treated Returns backers really well).  I $6 skipped Shadowrun Online/Chronicles on BundleStars... it's kickstarter backers were not happy last time I looked.

Those Goat Simulator achievements take all of ten minutes.  Angel Goat is for not hurting anyone for five minutes.  FINALLY is for climbing up the tower right next to your spawn point on the default map (Goatville) and walking in the top of it.  Boulder of Death is for finding the people having a party on the default map (Goatville) and pushing a boulder down on them.  If you start walking up the giant blue waterslide and turn left, you'll see the party.  If you then look toward the hill, you'll see a really obvious path with a really obvious boulder at the top.  Push it down.

This is what makes Playfire so dumb. Tons of people already own this game and have probably achieved a portion, if not all, of those. Since they aren't retroactive at all, paying attention to Playfire is a waste of time for a good chunk of people.

It's on sale right now for $3.39 so they're just adding an extra incentive for people to buy it ... before it's bundled, to boost sales of GoatZ.

Yeah, I kinda get that and all, but it seems like a rather limited promotional tool because of the timing and it sort of turns off people looking to use Playfire to get credit. I can see if they were promoting the product launch and no one owned Goat Sim, that it would prove to be universally popular. By throwing out three easy rewards this late in the life of GS, I just don't see how it benefits anyone.

I suppose the target audience are those oblivious to bundles, giveaways, and sales of any kind (and yet they somehow know about Playfire).

This marks my first attempt to participate in this whole playfire rewards thing. I've never bothered before because it's always seemed like it wasn't worth the effort required to collect those precious 10-20 cents. But thanks to GauRocks' mini-walkthrough letting me know how easy these ones were, I though I'd give it a try.

Now I just gotta sit back and wait for the pennies to roll in.

If they roll in.  I had to send a support ticket about my Old Town Nightmare achievement in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood not being recorded.  Which was probably over 20¢ worth of effort just to write the email but I will not be denied :whistle2:x

Yeah, I only own Letter Quest from the Bundlestars Killer 3 bundle.

Instant Dungeon was in Groupees BAGB 17 IndieGala Monday 17 the rest haven't been bundled as yet.

So they're just doing two rewards now, the play for five seconds and get the very first achievement one and then a play for an hour and get 40 pence or farthing or whatever the hell euro money they are giving?

For all their fussing and banning and drama over people 'cheating' playing for one hour is the most ridiculously easy goal to half ass phone it in without actually 'playing' and you don't need a third party tool or anything. Just run the game, leave it at the title screen and go get a sandwich.

Well this is an unexpected development, practically giving away money and all. I certainly like it better than their "4 annoying achievements for £0.10 each" approach. I now have a reason to check the Playfire thread other than sheer morbid curiosity and HitlerCat's snappy formatting and witty posts.

It looks like Instant Dungeon was also in the IndieGala Every Monday #17 bundle (July 2014). I probably would have forgot about it until I saw your post (Thanks HitlerCat!). I checked my IG bundles and sure enough I had a Steam key waiting.

I have no clue when IG added a Steam key for it. I probably missed someone mentioning this information at some point.

You're right, I knew it was a something something or other #17 bundle

The Instant Dungeon achievement is pretty much automatic -- just pick up a treasure -- and that happens right in the first room.

The Letter Quest achievement takes a little longer, but is very simple as well. The object is to spell a word that does not damage the enemy. Within the first three levels or so you will notice cracked tiles. If you're lucky, you can probably spell a word using those letters. If not, just hang in to about level 6 where you meet the first boss (Dust Bunny), which can't be harmed by words comprised of three letters or less. It should be no challenge to come up with a two or three letter word to attack him with.

Has anyone gotten the first Instant Dungeon achievement (It Begins) to show up on Playfire? I got the play for 1 hour reward and achievements for Letter Quest to show up, even though those were done later.

Maybe the rewards are screwed up? On the rewards page for Instant Dungeon it says "collect any 1" and that's not an actual achievement of course.

It's missing for me too. I haven't actively tried for any rewards in awhile so it's nice to see them as reliable as ever.

I'm a fan of the new setup for these indie games.  While its nice to have a variety of achievement rewards, especially for more major titles, little ones like this are a good incentive to try the small games you may already own.

It hasn't Begins for me either. Other three popped though. If they keep up these 40 furhering per hour rewards, I might be able to quit my day job.
