Ok, so this game is super rare. It goes for close to $100 online for this limited edition. Most of them don't come with the book you see on the right because the book alone goes for $30. I paid $45 shipped for the whole thing. AWESOME DEAL!

See? Nobody cares!

Nice, Temp!

I had that series...But when we moved in to our first house, my wife crushed all the PC boxes and just kept the jewel cases. PC boxes were so ginormous those days she didn't want to take up so much space.

I was able to salvage my Ultima IX: Ascension before the end.

She didn't realize the awesomeness!

I played one of those. I remember getting stuck playing click the right pixel in a New Orleans voodoo shop.
It and Dark Seed were the only two of those type games I could really stand.

I got a pretty good deal on Dark Seed II this week too. :(

BTW, not including what I pictured, I already own Gabriel Knight I (two copies), Gabriel Knight II (three copies) and Gabriel Knight III (two copies).

It's a sickness. :(

I had a crappy sound card in my 486, and the music in Dark Seed grated on my nerves. Sounded like an electric harpsichord in a tin-can. Loved the visuals though.

Did anybody order that mispriced HP desktop the other day? If you did, you have a $200 coupon sitting in your email right now good for almost anything in the HP store.

Thanks for the free printer and Blu-ray player, HP.

Did anyone else read about Randy Travis' DUI? That shit is fucking hilarious. Drunk, naked, and you tell the cops you are going to kill them. He is TN,TD.

DUI is not something I usually find hilarious, but the shit surrounding that DUI is just absurd.

Mosley. Grace.

I loved the Gabriel Knight back in my PC days. Never read the novels though.
The second one with the FMV was a little cheesy. (It came on like 8 CD-Roms!). Although I did learn alot about Wagerian Opera....

Ha, I agree with you 100%. Cheesy FMV is part of the reason why I love them though.

It kind of warms my heart that people actually kind of care, and if not care, as least know what the hell I'm posting about.

On a related note, after seeing that GIF of cheapy crapping his pants, I decided to give Slender a try. I was doing pretty well until my screen went all fuzzy and then I lost the game, even though I didn't see a single person on my screen slender or not. I don't get it.

My plan had been to give my brother the computer. Instead, I'll be giving him a printer. Slight "downgrade," I suppose.

Oh, I care.
I can still hear Tim Curry's fake southern drawl in my head. The game had really good voice acting. The third game taped into the whole Templar thing years before Dan Brown or the AC games.
Extensive historical research.

Why you'd need to own multiple copies is beyond me. How many can you play at a time?

Well, I need one copy to sit on my shelf and look good and last forever, and I need another copy to actually be able to play. In situations where I have a third copy, it's because I saw it at a flea market for $1.

Some of these I sell on ebay at a profit (I just sold a Space Quest game for $30 and I only paid $.50 for it), but sometimes I just decide to wait on it for a bit and see if it goes up in value. Maybe save it for a day when I need the money.

Yes, I know, total hoarder mentality, but I promise I only do it with old adventure games.

That's awesome. I knew that I should have given it a try.

Managed to snag $50 in Best Buy rewards certs this morning via My Coke Rewards. Already have my eye on this thanks to SD:

The Royal Tenenbaums (Criterion Collection Spine #157) Blu-Ray $19.99 @ Best Buy 8/14 - 8/18

I was thinking it would have to wait for the next bi-annual B&N Crit sale; Let's hope Best Buy keeps doing these, I wish the $5 trade-in was still scheduled to be going on.

My wife brought my daughter Fruit Stripe gum back from the airport- smells like happiness- I'd put it on par with opening a fresh tub of Playdough.
Do you not like meat?
If there's anything that mak does like, it's the meat. #huzzah #dickjokes #imsayingmaksgaywithoutsayingit #jake

Lol, this talk of meat reminds of something that happened here once, but it's foggy. Somebody got pissed at somebody else for shipping them something with gay porn in it.
Someone should create a kickstarter to get Mak a FL. Unless, he already has one- that is.
Ha, I would so donate to this if he promised he'd actually buy one and document it (not his actual use of it).
All I know is, if someone doesn't end up with a fleshlight by the end of this thread, I'm going to be disappointed.
End up as in get one or get another?

Do fleshlights get soggy? Or do you just put it in the dishwasher?

Had another killer headache today and went back to the doctor. They are just throwing pills at me. It's sort of a fun game, minus the pain/nausea.
I wonder where Mak is.
Until now I was working and riding a bus. I wasn't eating meat out of a fleshlight. I swear.

About to leave for the airport. Wearing my Best. Dad. Ever. shirt I got for Father's day.

tempting fate for when I'm on the news later for forcing the plane to land due to my:
a. excessive beating of children.
b. weeping uncontrollably.
