PlayStation 4 Pre-Order Thread *GREATNESS OUT NOW!*

I would go at your own risk with getting a Ps4 without pre ordering it.  I know there will be extras but, who knows how many.  Besides that who knows how many people will be waiting inline as well.

Yeah I'm figuring it's going to be in extremely high demand. I am thinking, as a last resort, to take the 14th off so I can sit in line all day and secure myself one at a best buy. But there is still hope of getting an amazon pre-order in one of these days.

Your best bet might be gamestop. I'm not sure if bestbuy is getting extra consoles. If I was you I'd go talk to people at your bestbuy first and make sure. At my local bb I was told they are only going to have enough to cover pre orders.

Geez, well thanks for the heads up. If worst comes to worst, I can probably hold off buying one for a month or two. The gamestop's wait list is pretty long D:

OMG, NBA 2k14 is going to be the best launch title out there!  here is the new features revealed in a press conference yesterday!

Actually, you bring up a good point. I had just realized there's still costco, and according to a rep on their facebook page, they're looking to get a limited quantity come release date, so maybe I can try my luck there.

When I got my Xbox 360 launch, I was number 11 in line at Sam's Club and I showed up 45 mins before open time for business members.  Kind of pissed me off though because I was the only business member there and they let everyone in (I believe at 6am).  They had 15 of them in stock and they were nice enough to let me know about that the day before when I asked.  Granted, our Sam's Club was pretty new back then and maybe nobody thought of it in my area.  Huge lines everywhere else that I was driving by though.

Blu-ray/dvds not working unless you download the patch seems kinda weird, and you can only share videos on FB at launch. Everything else seems normal.

 
I don't get why people are complaining about the Blu Ray update, almost every blu ray player needs an update out of box for some blu rays....  just the way the disks are!

It doesn't matter if it plays like current gen versions because those versions are already top class. The players don't slide anymore and it looks beautiful. I'm so excited.

 
I loved NBA's MyPlayer mode, thought it was the deepest and the extras it had were awesome!  Now it is getting even deeper?!

Agreed that the previous ones were amazing, add in new features, better graphics, and this game is going to be killer! was trying to decide if I was going to get this game and it is a definite buy now!

What is the over and under that EA cancels NBA Live again?

 
Not sure about across the country but my local best buy has their PS4 demo station already up and running. It was installed yesterday.
 
i saw a sony playstation employee at my local bestbuy today, preparing /going over details of setting a ps4 demo display area
 
So I want some genuine advice. I had a PS4 preordered and changed the payment method which then resulted in them cancelling my preorder due to some issue. This happened a few weeks back and while I was extremely upset at the time im over it now and just looking forward. 

I have realized that I could sell my PS3 on eBay and net probably $200 or trade it in to Gamestop for roughly the same amount. Biggest difference being that its trade credit VS cash. Its also a quick transaction at Gamestop and done with it or deal with eBay and praying everything goes smoothly.

My biggest fear of doing the trade in is come November 15th I will find a PS4 at a different retail chain but my money will be tied up at Gamestop. Does any one have any sort of insight or recommendation for consoles launches when it comes to stock? I know there isnt a FOR SURE answer but just some sort of details that makes either choice easier would be greatly appreciated.

Well I just sold my PS3 in anticipation on Ebay.  Sold it for $175 plus $25 for shipping.  Included an HDMI cord, Uncharted 2 + 3, Heavy Rain, and The last of US.  Shipping ended up being $24 for flat rate box with tracking and insurance just in case.  so I netted $150 after fees that I added to my Amazon preorder.  It wasn't that bad and I got a decent amount considering that PS3 is $200 new!

I would rather go the Cash route so that you have the cash to go wherever a PS4 is available first... but it would be easier just trading it in if you can get $200 at GS

but gamestop credit is also amazon credit, kindle cards! and im guessing amazon is going to be the easiest place to get a ps4 after launch. other than just lucking out somewhere.

Not sure about your stock question, but FYI, the most you will get for a PS3 at Gamestop right now is $165 for a 500GB super slim or $120 for a 250GB super slim. Older systems will be even less.

If it was a 320gb slim you'd get $150 with the bonus without pur
250gb super slim $120
Last of us $24
Uncharted 2 and 3 4.75
Heavy rain $6

If you had a 320gb slim you would net $184.75
A super slim $154.75
Without having to worry about some one haggling you on ebay

i never once say their will be no shortage in all areas but don't be shocked if you see these things in stores then you would think. people think these things will be hard to find this xmas and maybe a week after black friday but i would think by mid dec you should get one if you take the time to go around a area

Xbox ones are supposedly gonna be the harder console to find. I haven't seen the inventory at my gs yet but, my boss said we'd be getting quite a few.

Im in the same boat. I have a PS4 pre ordered, but the controller is the main thing for me. I have RA and my hands hurt all the time so gaming is getting harder for me. The more comfortable controller is what Im looking for. Ive done some google searches and it seems that the PS4 controller will be best for my needs. I really wish I could get a hold of one before launch.

If you have a system preordered why not just buy the controller and take it out of the box? Can even use it on the PC and test it out.

 
Come on Amazon, I'm itching to get a PS4. Even if I don't get it at launch, I want to freaking order it. I got the Kindle card deal at Meijer a while back ago and am just waiting for Amazon to get more stock in. I wish they would/could tell me a time frame when they'll get more, it's torture checking multiple times a day for it.

I thought about that, but money is tight and cant afford the extra controller. I have the amazon preorder with BF and PS plus so Im tapped out.

I know the last round they went on facebook. Thats how I knew they had them.

 
I can confirm to that my Gamestop has the controllers in Stock for the PS4 as well as the cameras and they are allowed to sell them with no issues. They also mentioned that the Xbox One controllers and charge kits are coming in any day now and it will be the same story for them...they are instructed to put them out ASAP and sell them to whoever.

 
What is the best way to flip an amazon ps4 killzone launch bundle? Had it preordered for a friend who no longer wants it so I have an extra preorder.

Ok, I don't have a Facebook so I signed up to get email notifications for all the different bundles. I just added another year of PS+ to my account a couple weeks ago but I'd be tempted to buy either the Killzone or the BF4 bundle if they became available just so I can secure one. I'm becoming obsessed over this and it's not healthy for me. :whee:

Not immediately, no, but there would be more stock available for the next time Amazon starts taking orders for them again. No need to be greedy and price-gouge people on ebay.

Sell it on Ebay! If no-one buys it you can always return it to Amazon to get your money back.
