Spiderman remaster for $50 is insane and it been out for years. Whoever buys that is a sucker. When you can just buy the ultimate edition and get both for $40. For someone like me get the $10 upgrade and miles for $20.

As someone who had the GOTY PS4 version there's a part of me that regrets paying $15 for the remastered digital code, but ah well.

If you have a PS5 right now and have PlayStation plus, you can download these awesome games and keep them as long as you have PlayStation plus. I was just informed on another forum that you don't even need a PS5 to get these games. Just a PS+ account. You activate them on the app and they'll be ready to download whenever you eventually get the PS5.

Has anyone tried playing that FF15 Royal Edition included in that collection? The Comrades standalone multiplayer game shows up as purchased, but not the Season Pass or individual DLC Episode listings. I don't want to download this game only to find out the DLC episodes are not included.

i agree with you there. what happened with offering as much as possible to entice customers to buy their game over others and compete? but pixel remasters are mainly just old games while i guess they are complete games they are old and there's a reason turn based has gone to the wayside.

im crying though because i thought 75 was too much for these games and i had a chance to purchase it on squares site. :(
$75 is a joke regardless, but no they’re not even “complete” games because all the additional content from the GBA ports are missing. It’s not silly useless things like costumes or items either- it’s stuff like job classes, summons and side quests. But whatever, these games literally get “remastered” every few years so all that GBA stuff will be in the new versions within the next decade probably. Maybe those will be HD-2D versions like they deserve and like Dragon Quest 3 is getting.

They have to be redeemed on a PS5 console

Also seeing reports that Persona 5 is appearing again right as Sony is about to end the PS+ Collection, so worth checking if you didn't redeem that one.

Can confirm.

EDIT - Never mind. The transaction history search on the website (and app) is ass.

is it worth it if youre not going to keep PS+? you can only keep them if youre still subscribed, right?
They will be linked to your account forever*, but you can only play them with an active PS+ subscription.

* - or until Sony decides differently.

So hoping this might be the best thread to ask this but I've been wanting to replay Bully recently. I have it on Xbox SX but that's the scholarship edition. Just kinda wondering what shape the PS4 version was in. I believe it's on sale for $8 but is that a better version than the 360 version? Or is it just the straight up PS2 port. Might get it either way but just curious what the consensus was on this one

The scholarship edition is probably the better way to play as it has additional content. The one on PS4 is just a PS2 port.

I recommend playing that version or the PC version. It still plays pretty well under Windows 10 and works with the Xbox 360 controller and probably the Series X ones as well.

Well, I had a bonus through my rewards card and used it to justify buying a PS5 ahead of FFXVI. Paid $400 from a local listing for a disc based system and it works great. It's currently sitting next to my Switch, Series S, and PS4.

Now all you need is a Steam Deck!

I almost bought one when they had the sale, but I recently got a good Android streaming solution (Gamesir X2 Pro) and most of the time I'm home just doing local network anyway. Which is going to work great with the PS5!
I am neck deep in the Chinese retro handheld emulation craze (Anbernic, Retroid, Miyoo, Powkiddy, GPD, etc). I keep buying them because they are mostly cheap and portable and can play all the retro systems. Each time they release something that is slightly better in one aspect but maybe worse in another (performance, battery life, screen quality, button layout, size, etc). In terms of Android devices, I am using the AYN ODIN PRO. I have a retroid pocket flip on the way.

The Steam Deck seems to be the most promising handheld/console implementation I have seen, especially if you factor in emulating the Switch. I still prefer the Switch OLED screen though. There are ways to stream home consoles to the Deck as well but I just play on the original console if I am home anyway.

I have a smattering of these, as well. I have the RP3+ and the Steam Deck, so getting an Odin seemed overkill. But I've got like five of these Chinese handhelds. The Android ones are very flexible, but feel "off," while the Linux based ones feel like real handhelds to me. I know, weird preferences.

Also, all the DJMax Respect DLC is on sale. Go get 'em!

Finally took the Dualsense 5 for a spin, naturally the first thing I played was Mega Man 2 (does BDK read this thread? I did it for you, BDK).

One of the reasons I passed on the Steam Deck is I really do want to be able to stream locally for PS4/5, Xbox, and Steam at home. It's great for indies, settling in for the night, or if my wife is using the TV. I don't need it much in the way of portability outside of the house so locking it into streaming isn't a big deal. Honestly, if the Logitec G Cloud wasn't so effing expensive, it'd be my first choice, it has the largest screen (comparable to a Switch) and a 12 hour battery. $350 is a joke, though.

Using a spare Android phone and USB-C controller felt a little more future-proof, too, since I can always upgrade/replace one or the other. Also, the Gamesir X2 Pro is really, really solid. Playstation seems to really have benefited from baking Vita streaming into the PS4, the local streaming feels like it's running natively.

Should try Astro Playroom too.
I second this
Downloaded and on the list!

Sounds like a good way to tell if the d-pad is any less garbage than the DS4. What were your impressions on that?
the DS5 is really nice, especially for 3D games (running around in Spider-Man feels effortless). Mega Man felt good, too, I like the d-pad just fine. I wouldn't say the DS4's d-pad is garbage but the DS5 is the better of the two.

I still think the Series X controller is the nicest modern controller I've ever used and has the best de-pad of the three. Guilty Gear will be the true test but I'm not spending $40 on the Playstation release when it's on Game Pass.

Astros playroom is fantastic. Amazing that it's included with the console. I would pretty much recommend playing that first. I know I did.

For me, the main advantage of Android-based systems is the battery life optimization especially for higher end stuff compared to Linux. The ability to use Android-native games/apps is a side benefit too along with streaming. I don't know if there will ever truly be a one best option honestly. Daijisho frontend for Android seems to offer a "Linux-based" system experience though.

Let me be another person to HIGHLY recommend you play Astro's playroom to get a feel for all the Dualsense features. If you have any nostalgia for Playstation systems then it is a nice trip down memory lane as the collectibles and zones are based on all the old Playstation consoles (the collectibles after you beat each zone are actual 3D renders of old PS consoles/handhelds). If you enjoy 3D platforming games then it is on par with a AAA-level modern platformer.

For me I like the Steam Deck because I own a huge backlog of PC games (I gamed primarily on PC in the 90s) and the deck was a way to be able to enjoy those games portably. It might not be worth it if you focus mostly on console-style games however the one side benefit is that Steam has free cloud saves and you don't need to worry about them shuttering their "e-shop" so your purchases will still be accessible in the future.

Anyone remember if the ps5 Apple TV+ trial is stackable? I know some trials are stackable but don’t remember which ones or which order they need to be redeemed.
