Snagged Knockout League and dlc. That has been on my wishlist for a while.
How bad is Loading Human Ch 1?
I don't think it's bad at all, but Loading Human was an early first-person adventure game for PSVR and maybe doesn't hold up to whatever more recent games of that type look and play like these days. I did a video on it back when it came out almost five years ago.

Really? I feel like PSVR Without Parole has done reviews on most of those on their channel.

Accounting+ was made by the Rick & Morty guy. It's good, and of course, pretty out there. But can be kind of short. I enjoyed Mortal Blitz (the original, not Arena). The rest I haven't played.
Yeah, they will probably do a compilation video in the next couple of days stitching together their reviews for all of the psvr games on sale (no guarantee, but they’ve done it before). I can’t speak to too many of those, but I have been trying to play through some of my vr backlog, and recently played accounting plus. I’m sure I didn’t do everything, but it seemed short (there could be a bunch I missed, though). It was amusing if that kind of humor appeals to you, and is easy enough to recommend at that price. I tried playing Along Together, but I didn’t have a DS4 handy, and it isn’t compatible with the dualsense. I don’t remember much of Mortal Blitz, but I don’t think I stuck with it too long. Statik isn’t on rpgaymer’s list, but I recommend it whenever it is on sale for cheap. I own Windlands, apparently, but either haven’t played it or played so little that I don’t remember it. Playing through Trover now. Since I bought a Quest, it is tough going back to wires for games that are available on both platforms, but I think I am going to go ahead and buy Red Matter, as it has never come close to that price on the Quest, and I’ve been wanting to play it.

Thanks Frisky!

I was mostly looking through metacritic and opencritic for reviews on the PSVR games. I prefer written reviews over video reviews. I guess I'm old and it's a holdover from reading magazine reviews back in the day. But I will check out PSVR Without Parole. Thanks for the input on some of them tho guys- I was able to whittle down my list a bit already.

share your research with me so i dont have to ;)

Can anyone suggest a decent turbo controller for PS4 that won't break the bank? I don't want a piece of shit that's going to die after three uses but it's really only going to be used when I need it for trophy whoring. Maybe something in the $30 range. TIA!

Just a heads up that PS gift cards of all amounts are available on Amazon again.

Pretty tempted to upgrade to the director's cut of Ghost of Tsushima now.

Well, Touring Karts & Pirate Flight seem like solid VR homages to Mario Kart & Pilotwings. Easy buys for me. Dark Legion looks like a pain to play, with its bizarrely slow walking pace and ugly N64-looking graphics. DWVR and Mortal Blitz seem like shooters that no one would give a second glance at if they weren't playable in VR. Dream Angling, Stardrone & Proton Pulse Plus seem trippy and relaxing, especially while stoned, and at $3 they seem worth trying. Windlands looks like Motion Sickness: The Game, so I'll pass.

But I don't want to spend like $30 on PSVR games that will just sit in my backlog for months or years, so I'm still researching lol. I like VR but it just feels like such an ordeal finding the time to strap that headset on and play these days. Usually I just want to relax with something like a turn-based rpg or arcade racer for an hour or two at the end of the day, and there aren't that many of these in VR form. Well, decent ones, at least.

Anyway, I played some of these other VR games that are sale, and I'd definitely recommend these:

Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown (really impressive turn-based strategy rpg with branching storyline paths, one of my favorite PSVR games ever)
Both Pixel Ripped games (fun nostalgia porn)
Statik (trippy, creepy puzzle game... the ending made me jump and gave me goosebumps lol)
VR Karts (bargain bin Mario Kart ripoff, but it's in VR and controls fine so I dug it)
Neverout (basically a video game adaption of the cult classic film Cube!)
Astrobot Rescue Mession (yes, believe the hype. It's one of the best 3D platformers ever made and the PSVR killer app)

Stoked that Insurgency: Sandstorm finally has a console release date.  After 3 years I thought for sure that shit was cancelled lol

Good luck, mine broke and it was really hard to find an OEM PS4 controller replacement. I'm not buying one off of Amazon because of all the fraudulent copies there. I ended up finding one on Sony's site of all places. I think the manufacturing shutdown has really had a huge impact.

best buy has stock of dualshock 4 atm if anyone else needs one

Free bonus content for Ghost of Tsushima, which includes the digital art book and commentary:

The PS5 Director's Cut upgrade is also out now for $29.99:

Question in case my reading ability is failing me. If I bought the PS4 Director's Cut does it transfer to the PS5? I bought the DC, then got lucky on this week's Amazon drop and scored a PS5 so naturally I want to play it on the PS5 without having to double dip.

iirc you have to fork up another 10 bucks for it to upgrade to *PS5*

I do buy every other years CoD game and it usually does me alright. Helped me skip Ghosts and Infinite Warfare. I played some of the last one, and this year is a Battlefeels year, so CoD is not being tagged in for me this year likely unless my friends really want to play.

Coworker likely being a cheapo. I wouldn't trust any new one under $40 likely (think the cheapest I got was $45?). They haven't been as in high supply lately, so I would guess $59.99 would be the right price.

On Amazon prices are inflated for "official" ps4 controllers. I picked up a couple from the Sony store a couple weeks ago. The Playstation store Seems to be the only place to get a genuine Sony made ps4 controller for MSRP.  Forget about any discounts.

I bought one from best buy yesterday after being told about the knock offs and not wanting to be be stuck with one or paying through the nose fro a real one when I had no choice.  I seem to have bought the last one they had in stock.  Who would have thought that controllers would become a hot commodity while the system is still alive?

Leaked PS+ games for September (according to Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit):
PS4
Hitman 2
Predator Hunting Grounds

PS5
Overcooked:All You Can Eat

Yeah when I bought they basically had one color (Blue) but honestly I would have gotten grey camo as long as I'm sure its OEM.

I got a white and Midnight blue contollers myself. They did not have much to chose from, but I just wanted to have some backup controllers for my ps4.

Wait, being attention deficit qualifies you to buy stuff on Navy Exchange? Neat!

I wish I could remember why, but neat!
I am guessing you are joking. I read AD as active duty.

Also, I am pretty sure you have to be a retiree and not just be a veteran to make purchases at the military exchanges.

I would imagine he/she was joking. Veterans are allowed to shop online on any of the military websites now. They just have to be verified.

Cool. I was actually thinking about running on base next weekend and scooping up anything that was on the shelf. If Sony is no longer manufacturing DS4 controllers, I should probably get 2 to keep handy for future use.

Sadly even with the button link it still doesn't work. Unless I am doing something wrong lol

EDIT: Nevermind, figued it out. Had a PSN card in their which voided the coupon. Didn't see that was an exclusion.

Target Circle currently has a 30% off one game deal and it appears to work with some preorders. I was able to use it + 5% redcard discount to get Elden Rings for PS5 for $43.18 out the door.

Worth checking your Target circle coupon area of the app and seeing what else it might work with.

I don't have that offer.

Good to know. I was honorably discharged back in 1997. I guess I just have to find my old DD-214 forms :)

Do you need to use your redcard to use Circle deals? If not this will go well with the 10% off when you use PayPal deal.

Nevermind, I dont even have that deal.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been really needing a new PS4 controller and was able to use it on that with a $30 gift card I had. Came out to about $18. Just glad they actually had the controller in stock during this promotion. I won’t get it until late September, but better than paying full price.
