Can Capcom Collection Reloaded be downloaded on the Vita without transferring it with the PS3? Under the Remix collections it says you need to transfer it but not under this one.

Ugh, need to look through the sale and decide. Haven't had time to really parse through it beyond a couple glances.

If you look at my replies, though, I bought the game last night through my ps3, and everything was fine. Both the game demo and full game unlock were added to my download list like normal...installed it today. So it looks more like an issue with sekihan's PC web store purchase than any actual issue with the game/files on the store.
I still intend to get it, I was just going to avoid purchasing it the way they had.

Weird. Sounds similar to the weirdness I mentioned with the PS+ games not showing up in my download list or as "purchased" on the PC web store (but showing as "purchased" and appearing in my download lists on my ps3/vita) that one time. Possibly some random web store glitch? When did you buy and try to download it?

On my receipt, it says "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! (Full Game)"... And the files it added to my download list are "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! Demo" and "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! Full Game Unlock". Basically the same as any other game purchase with no issues for me.
I bought it on Saturday night 8:30 PM, I downloaded them to my PS3 around 10 PM, chatted with customer service and purchased the demo using the link provided in the chat session and downloaded that around midnight (all times EDST). I prefer using the PC store for purchases, it's easier to navigate the menus and it doesn't time out like the PS3 store.

Glad I checked back in this thread for the hell of it.

Never check the PS3 section since I don't own one but just browsed over it due to everyone saying that is where this sale shines. I noticed Rock Band Blitz, confirmed the export still worked and bought it in a heartbeat.

$4.49 for 25 songs is a hell of a deal.

Annnnnnnnd you just made spend $4.49. I'm going to do the same, I still have :ps4: RB4 Bitb unopened from Target glitch, but I can't say no to all the extra songs. Thanks!

Anyone have some opinions on the following?

Of Orcs And Men

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment

zombie vikings looks fun and has great art

of orcs and men is linear, lame combat, and unattractive graphics

dunno anything about the anime games

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment

XBlaze: Lost Memories

Of Orcs And Men - This game is a prequel to Styx Master of Shadows which was ps+free so I'd get it if you ever plan on playing that so you can have the two games in the series. Probably the only reason to get it since I heard it's not all that great. I have it apparently but haven't played it yet. Don't even remember buying it.

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment - This was pretty fun, I put about 10 hours into and enjoyed it. I haven't played it in a while because I got sidetracked but it's worth at $5 for sure.

Cool to see people buying a ton of games on the cheap this Flash Sale. Personally not interested in most of the titles for PS4/Vita but I did pick up Counterspy and Peggle 2.

Curious to know what kind of fool spent $14.99 on P2.

Also, haven't seen any love for Strider on here. I picked it up when it was free with PS+  a while back when there wasn't a whole lot to play. It's a pretty fun game and definitely worth checking out if you're in to Metroidvania type games.

OK here's my preliminary list of things I'm contemplating so give me feedback!

Likely:

Fatal Frame 1-3 - Will never play them but $1 each

Lights Camera Party - Seems like an almost Wario Ware style game

Monster Monpiece - $2 to help my Vita get it's jollies

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded - Great price for some classic games

Ridge Racer - Love some good Ridge Racer

Superfrog - It's $1 and looks like a cute platformer

Undecided:

Bionic Commando Rearmed - The having to connect to a server thing is slightly off putting

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2

Explodemon - Seems so so but is only $1

Heavenly Guardian - Really can't figure out this one, have to look in to it further

Namco Museum Essentials - Nice classics to have but being PS3 and not Vita makes them less likely to be played

Pac-Man World - No idea if this is any good

Elminage Original

End of Serenity

Mystic Chronicles

Prince of Persia Classic

Castlevania Chronicles - No idea which Castlevania this actually is

C&C Red Alert - Think someone said this doesn't transfer to Vita?

Harvest Moon Hero of Leaf Valley - No idea if this is one of the good HM games

Furmins - Not familiar with it

Soldner - Have to sort out if this is the correct one to buy

Things I shouldn't buy:

Peggle 2 - Have it on XB1 but for $1.50 why not?

SAO Hollow Fragment - Have it on Vita but this has the non-terrible translation and probably looks better

CoJ Bound in Blood - Have to dig through my discs, think I picked this up used a few months back

Giana Sisters - Have it on PC and I think Wii U but this includes the DLC which I don't have

Rock Band Blitz - Don't have RB4 for the export and not sure I'll actually play it

Pid- Have it on PC and haven't played a PS3 game in months but it's $1

Ironclad Tactics - Have it on PC

Holy crap that list is huge and it's 3 AM.  Guess I better get another bowl of Froot Loops and figure out what I'm buying.  Really did not think I was considering nearly that much stuff based on glancing through it.

Froot Loops, yucky
I needed another Kellogg's cereal for the promo at the grocery store and the options were limited so it would up as an impulse buy after not having them for years and years. Actually enjoyed that first bowl where most sugar cereals these days I just can't choke down and ruin my childhood.

Superfrog would probably be a good choice then. I actually was interested in it until I saw the screenshots.

I haven't been into most of the sugary cereals for years now, but I haven't exactly gone full Bran Flakes or anything. I mainly eat Raisin Bran, Chex, or sometimes Frosted Flakes.

Not to make this in to the random cereal hour but yeah I'm mostly mini wheats, raisin bran, something along the lines of a Basic 4 (still upset they swapped dates for cranberries) sort of cereal eater.  Sugary stuff is left for an impulse buy when I see something and remember how much I used to love it and then eat one bowl and throw the rest away after it sits and gets stale.  Oh to be a teenager and just randomly eat a half box of cereal again.

Superfrog is really bad, Eldritch. It might look like it's for actual kids, but it's even worse than that. The game is so mind-numbingly boring and uninspired that your kid will play it once and forget about it. It's basically free on Steam, and I think I managed to play it for 10 minutes before realizing it's even more basic than a cell phone game and deleted it.

The one I support most out of undecided and shouldn't is Peggle 2 followed by SAO. For myself, had a tougher time coming up with a scenario where anything else would get played. I watched a clip of Castlevania on YouTube and it didn't look like a fun one.
And honey bunches of Oates is the only good cereal.

Pac-Man World isn't bad, given you don't find platformers of that era to have aged badly.

Castlevania Chronicles is a remake of the original with redesigned and completely new stages. If you like classic Castlevania go for it at this price.

Superfrog I would agree isn't very good, but it is only a dollar. It's not awful but does get boring.

Heavenly Guardian is a poor man's Pocky and Rocky. You could probably do worse for 2 dollars but I wouldn't recommend it.

And my final haul:

Lights, Camera, Party + DLC

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded

Peggle 2

Fatal Frame 1-3

Ridge Racer

Soldner-X 2

Monster Monpiece

Pac-Man World

Furmins

Superfrog HD (ended up getting it since it was only $1 and worth it if we get an hour of enjoyment out of it)

PoP Forgotten Sands PSP

Giana Sisters

Pid

Total damage: $25.69

Man that cheap stuff always adds up faster than you expect.

Can Capcom Collection Reloaded be downloaded on the Vita without transferring it with the PS3? Under the Remix collections it says you need to transfer it but not under this one.
The easiest way to check if a game can be downloaded without a PS3 is to look for the game on the PS Vita store. If it cannot be found by Search, you cannot do it. I have Reloaded(and Remixed) on my Vita but I think I did it on my PS3 before I traded it in for a PS4. I now have to go down to my neighbor's house to download these kind of games, in return he gets access to my account to play PS Plus stuff if he wants.

anyone who bought Peggle 2 Magical Masters Edition? is it a bundle that contains the full game+dlc content separately or a "definitive" version of the game that has all the content packed together? asking cause i have vanilla Peggle 2 and the psn store didnt stop me from buying the magical ed like usual

all the content i got is the dlcs, but i cant even download them.

Buy bold imo

I would skip heavenly guardian unless you grew up loving it. As tempting as buying anything from the past is when it's cheap that was a pretty unremarkable game

Is Super Stardust Delta worth purchasing if you have the PS3 version? (Are the levels different?) Also, is Strider 2 a good buy? Going to pick up the Fatal Frame games for sure.

strider 2 is a good game

I would just get the strider remake which mixes arcade strider/ nes strider/ and strider 2 into a great game with better graphics

I bought:

Castlevania Chronicles

Fatal Frame 2

Fatal Frame 3

Fighting Force

Rayman

I've been playing Rayman and I'm surprised at how brutally hard that game is. I was not expecting that based on the genre and graphics.

Haven't played it yet, but got the remake in a Humble Indie Bundle.

... Also, is Strider 2 a good buy? ...
I'd absolutely say so. A lot of people knock it for being easy to complete since you have unlimited continues, but if you're the type of gamer who tries to get as far as they can only a single credit you'll get a lot of replay out of it. The game also includes a pretty nice port of the original Strider arcade game that features a remixed soundtrack and a few new unlockables.

Peggle 2 MM has everything packaged together - the only exception is the Eerie Attire pack.

B. O. Wolf: Have you considered deodorant? Anyway...

To answer your question, Castlevania Chronicles is a version of the game originally designed for the Sharp X68000 computer. It was a very powerful system for its time, so it doesn't feel out of place on the PSOne. It's a very old school Castlevania, with linear levels and a time limit. The first stage is pretty much straight from the NES version, but it sharply deviates from there.

Heavenly Guardian got panned by the press, and so did Mystic Chronicles. There are no end of lackluster RPGs on the PSP and you could live a full life not playing this one.

Undecided:
Bionic Commando Rearmed - The having to connect to a server thing is slightly off putting

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2

Prince of Persia Classic
Rearmed 1 doesn't have the server thing, it's only Rearmed 2 (and I think Final Fight: double Impact too) that require a connection. I played through 1 before the trophy patch and enjoyed it.

The original Prince of Persia has not aged well (or maybe it was a bad port), I played it shortly after I got my PS3 in 2009 and did not enjoy my time with it as I remember the controls being imprecise.

Is Super Stardust Delta worth purchasing if you have the PS3 version? (Are the levels different?) [/qoute]
It's certainly its own game. There are only two weapons instead of the three on the PS3 version. I think it's a great handheld shooter and I've sunk many many hours into it on plane rides and such. I would certainly recommend it for any Vita owners who like twin stick shooters even a little bit. At that price it should be a no brainer even if you have the PS3 version. Remember this isn't like replaying Borderlands; this is all about getting a high score and surviving to the next level. It's a great pick-up-and-play game.

Excellent prices. Picked up:

Castlevania Chronicles  (PS1, $1.49)

Strider 2                         (PS1, $1.49)

Fatal Frame 1, 2, and 3 (PS2, $2.97)

I bought it on Saturday night 8:30 PM, I downloaded them to my PS3 around 10 PM, chatted with customer service and purchased the demo using the link provided in the chat session and downloaded that around midnight (all times EDST). I prefer using the PC store for purchases, it's easier to navigate the menus and it doesn't time out like the PS3 store.
I guess we bought it around the same time, then. Ya, the ps3 store is a mess. Actually, after buying the games from the sale, the store froze my ps3 on the post-purchase download selection screen, and I had to reboot and sit through the file system scan. So I just downloaded the game/dlc through my download list the next morning after that bit of fun.

Do you have over 1000 items in your download list? If so, that's why. After checkout, your PS3 literally can't handle adding more items to your list. You can try it for yourself by making a second account and you'll see that the store is buttery smooth.

Bought Harvest Moon for wife, Castlevania Chronicles and Capcom Classics Reloaded for myself.

It's going to be a pain trying to get the latter two loaded on to PSTV though.

Delta is the sequel to Super Stardust HD. It has some new mechanics, modes, and such and is fantastic.

Missed the sale by ~15 minutes.  Wouldn't have minded R-Type Dimensions for $3.  Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck with the Xbox sale.

My final haul was the following,

Fatal Frame 1-3 - For the total amount of what you could find couch fishing, you be crazy not to buy these.

Castlevania Chronicles - Been waiting a long time for a sale on this one.

Strider 2 - And this along with Castlevania make my digital PS1 classics collection complete

Sword Art Online Re:Hollow Fragment

Galaga Legions DX - A buck and I don't have to deal with it being PS+ anymore.

End of Serenity - Figure I take a chance, it looks decent enough.

Alice the Madness Return UE

Strider (PS4)

Monster Monpiece - After being told repeatedly that there's actually a good card game underneath the nethers overcoat.  Found out it was fully PSTV compatible and hence I do not actually have to stroke my vita, that made it a little easier......still feel like I need to take a shower though. :whistle2:$

Monster Monpiece - After being told repeatedly that there's actually a good card game underneath the nethers overcoat. Found out it was fully PSTV compatible and hence I do not actually have to stroke my vita, that made it a little easier......still feel like I need to take a shower though. :whistle2:$
There's nothing wrong with stroking your Vita, don't feel ashamed doing it.

Anyone else have problems logging in to the Playstation Store on their PS3, around Sunday 7:30pm Pacific time until around 11am Monday?  It kept saying the store is "Down for Maintenance."  Is this something I should call Sony about?
