PSN has returned. What freebie games are you getting?

Sure enough the Single Player story is always an enjoyment. HOWEVER! Uncharted 3 ditches SA (Situational Awareness). And the Airplane stage looks fun as hell.

Though I do prefer PSN come much sooner than November as well. Portal 2 (co-op) and The Labs grenade launcher only matches are calling me.

I agree everything, But I want my goddamn multiplayer for Uncharted 2 back right fucking now. I don't care about the PSN store, I don't give a crap if I can't have trophies, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GIVE ME MULTIPLAYER BACK!
 
I miss PSN :(, i was JUST about to start playing Mortal Kombat Multiplayer for the first time. Plus i had just brought a PSN card to get Arcana Heart 3

Kind of. But Single Player is the main part of Uncharted.

I'm sure I'll play the MP, but it's not a selling point for me.

lol if they had better exclusives id be tempted as well i just hope psn is up within a week or so and that theyre not just improving the security but fixing all of the issues psn has.

I'm expecting PSN to be up by Saturday. Sony issued a statement yesterday outline how they are going to make this up to the fans:

We apologize for any inconvenience players may have experienced as a result of the recent service interruption. As a global leader in online gaming, SOE is committed to delivering stable and entertaining games for players of all ages. To thank players for their patience, we will be hosting special events this weekend across our game portfolio, including a Double Station Cash day on Saturday, April 30th. We are also working on a “make good” plan for players of the PS3 versions of DC Universe Online and Free Realms. Details will be available soon on the individual game websites and forums.

As you can see, they mention special events across their game portfolio on April 30th. I see no reason for them to outline a specific date if they have no intention of having PSN up by then.

And by party chat, you mean cross game chat, right? There has to be some reason why they aren't giving PSN users that function just to shut up the people who keep asking(begging) for it every time there's an update.

MS may own a patent on it or something similar. Either that or it's just too damn hard to program it for the PS3.
 
i dont remember if a CC # was required when you signed up. otherwise, i havent bought anything from psn. ive gotten free stuff though but how do i know if i have CC information entered?

has anyone even gotten charged? lol

No cc# was required when I signed up for PSN. So I've just been using pre-paid PSN cards on my acct from the start.

I've spent maybe $50 total since I got my PS3 online.
 
SOE and SNEA are different entities.

I wonder if customers who declined the SNEA ToS on 04/01 were impacted by this. I bet they were even though they never agreed to turn over their info. They could be in some serious shit if they had data on hand that they shouldn't have even had access to based on the lack of user agreements.

Sony can make up the down time with Double XP Weekend for MAG. That would make me warm inside.

(i think it would be more of a Zipper thing then a Sony thing though) oh well.
 
Originally I wasn't going to but I went ahead and cancelled my Debit Card. Got a new one issued and I'll probably get it by next week. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Still need to go to the bank to get a Temporary Card while I wait.

漏洩した（不正アクセス者が入手した）とみられるアカウント情報：　

・お客様が“PlayStation Network”/“Qriocity”に登録した、氏名、住所、
　Eメールアドレス、生年月日、“PlayStation Network”/“Qriocity”パスワード、
　“PlayStation Network”オンラインID

また、以下の情報につきましても不正アクセス者が入手した可能性があります。

・購入履歴、請求先住所、パスワード再設定用の質問への回答等のプロフィールデータ
・サブアカウントに関する上記情報（お客様がサブアカウントを作成されている場合）

なお、お客様が“PlayStation Network”または“Qriocity”にクレジットカード情報を
登録されている場合、登録されているクレジットカード番号（セキュリティコードを
除く）および有効期限に関する情報が不正アクセス者に入手された可能性を完全に
否定することはできませんが、現時点ではそのことを示す形跡は見つかっておりません。

弊社では冒頭に記載しました不正アクセスの事実が確認された時点で速やかに
以下の措置を講じるとともに、引き続き詳細についての調査を継続しております。

１）“PlayStation Network”および“Qriocity”サービスの一時的な停止
２）本件の調査を情報セキュリティ専門会社に依頼し、実態の把握に努めること
３）個人情報の保護強化を目的とし弊社のシステムセキュリティを更に高度化するため、
　　システムの再構築によるネットワークインフラの補強

弊社にとって安全且つ高品質のエンタテインメントサービスをお客様に提供することは

Exactly- with a credit card, it's them asking you for a reason why you aren't paying them back their money. With a debit card, it's you asking them to give you back your money. Even if the bank sides with you, it could still be a while before the case is resolved and you are credited back your money.

No sense in chancing it.

good point man i hope it happens but now i wonder wtf a double cash day is. does that mean online games across the board will have 2x exp or maybe your money you have on psn will be worth double?

They'll have something for regular PSN people down the line I guess.


I think it's strange how G4 is getting all this news, but no one else is reporting on it.

Class action lawsuits are the biggest waste. The only people that gain anything are the lawyers. The settlements are always something stupid for the actual "victims".

Yeah. The Baltimore O's owner, Peter Angelos, bought the team with money in his civil lawsuits against asbestos, Phillip Morris and the makers of fen-phen. There is probably some lawyer out there now looking to raise money to buy the Dodgers.

You're completely dismissing the punitive nature of class action suits.
 
Does anyone know a list of games that you cannot play because it syncs trophy data, and therefore needs PSN service? I'm interested to see how many games that impacts.
