Why do you say that? If anything, they hated Microsoft since their game didn't go up when Microsoft promised it would. They've changed their tune afterward, though - I guess Microsoft made nice with them somehow.
Well this was about four years ago, but I remember when they were shopping the game around Sony was the only one who didn't really have an interest in it so they stuck with Microsoft and Nintendo.

To be fair, Binding of Isaac isn't a Team Meat game. It's made by one of its members, Edmund, but that's it for the overlap.

I think it has gotten out that Microsoft makes indies they publish sign exclusivity deals to not appear on other consoles for a few years to get featured on XBLA, but I'd be surprised if Team Meat agreed to a lifetime exclusivity deal. I'd guess that they would rather move on to new Meat Boy and other Team Meat games than work on more ports for SMB.
Well Nicalis did the port with McMillan overseeing it and even though he did BoI largely independent he heads up Team Meat from what I understand. So likely at some point he signed off on the 360 exclusivity and Sony ports.

Apparently there's a Wii version of SMB that I never realized existed. I guess it was Sony's disinterest that pushed them into the MS deal. From a Destructoid interview:

"We can't EVER do a PS3 version of Super Meat Boy because when we were going into negotiations with publishers, Sony was the only one that didn't express much interest in the game. We assumed this meant they didn't want the game, and [we] decided to sign with Nintendo and Microsoft.

Our contracts excluded any release on PS3. We would have loved to do a PS3 version, but its not at all possible whatsoever now, so please stop asking about it."

And clearly these devs haven't learned since every few months you get the same story about a new one that's unhappy with how MS didn't live up to the promises they felt were made when they signed the contract.

So happy to see Binding of Isaac chat here. I played the hell out of the original on the PC since 2011 and I'm glad to see it flourish.

Depends on what it is but it's a passive effect.
I figured it was something like that. It's just that I always pick something up after stocking like six powers and never see what it really does. Just got shit stomped by Mom.

Hate that I put off playing it. Would've tried it sooner had I known the Team Meat connection.

Thanks. :)

It's a puzzle game similar to the old "lights out" game concept. I took that concept and ran with it as far as I could, implementing all of the features I could think of: a ton of levels (90), a random level generator with adjustable difficulty, a level editor, 18 graphics skins, etc. I wrote it originally for Android, so this is an enhanced port with some new improvements.

This is my first Vita game, but I've written a lot of other games over the years. Originally started developing games when I was 12, so that makes it about 14 years now. :)

I've started up on my next Vita project, and for this one, I'm trying to develop a cross-platform engine so that all of my future games for the next few years can be released on a bunch of consoles at once: Vita, PC, and hopefully PS4 and XBox. Platformers and RPGs are my favorite genres to work with, so that's probably what I'll be focusing on for a while.
Good on you man! So many people talking about what they would do differently with games, glad to see someone actually making something.

I have A vita and PS3... Any games with cross save for that combo? Thanks in advance
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is not only cross save, but the 2 different versions have separate trophy lists, so when you update your save file, you'll immediately pop trophies that you earned on the other version.

I think Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is also cross save.

Binding of Isaac is ridiculously good.   I've sunk countless hours into it in the past week, both beating the game itself (multiple times, multiple endings) and doing challenges.   Some of the challenges are fun, some very hard (ninja zen cat has got to be the most annoying since he can't even fire bullets).

A good solid run can easily take 45 minutes to an hour, and I've done lots of those... I see myself putting in another 100 hours min and getting the plat.   This game speaks to me in the way I bet spelunky speaks to platformer fans.

Game runs extremely well on vita.   No crashes, extremely fluid.   I've only seen slowdown in one challenge where you have a ton of tiny bullets, and only then after I got powerups that made it even more bullets and then fought a bullet hell style boss.   In all normal areas / games, I haven't seen any slowdown at all.

I haven't picked up Freedom Wars this week thanks to BoI, though I do miss it.

The sheer number of powerups, endings, alternate levels, and challenges really do wonders for the longevity of  BoI.  No game feels remotely the same.

can someone help me out with this:

I bought Fibbage on ps4.    I thought I was buying a game I could play.   All it does is let me host a fibbage room on my ps4.   I actually have to "play" it on some other device (computer, tablet, phone etc).       Is this correct?   Or am I doing something wrong

sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but I searched google and didn't find anything

The game is meant to be a party quiz esque type game, where questions are on the PS4 and each member uses their smartphones or whatever device to input their answers. The purpose is to not know what the other players are inputting so that's probably why you can't really use a controller.

Did anyone get their $15 back from the $100 promotion a few weeks back?
I got a $15 code this morning, but I don't remember spending that much during the promotional period. According to Sony, I spent $100.89. In all honesty, I don't remember buying enough games to equal out to that amount of money. When my 120 gb PS3 started running low on space, I stopped buying stuff on the Sony store and started buying games on Xbox Live. That said, I went ahead and redeemed the code minutes later in case it was a fluke. I know I've mentioned possibly installing a hard drive on my slim, but I'm thinking about just buying a 500 gb PS3 on Black Friday if I can find one for $200 or under that since I'm terrible with techie stuff. How many PS3s can you have on one account?

Two PS3s, Two Vitas (or PSPs), and one PSTV per account. Not sure about PS4s, either one or two.

It's a neat idea but their attach rate on the DLC will determine if we see more folks try it.

The new beta for The Crew seems better than the previous beta in that the steering isn't nearly as bad, but it doesn't seem like it'll be more than a decent racing game for those that aren't into Forza, Forza Horizon, Driveclub, and the like that are more realistic racing games. Plus, the unrealistic road designs fuck with me because they're nothing like real roads in terms of lines on intersections, placement of traffic lights, and that sort of stuff that doesn't work for a game that is trying to be somewhat realistic.

Yeah, I don't hate it, I just don't... like it.

Driveclub lost me, so I guess I'm just waiting for Project Cars now.

Now that I have a PS4 I am forced to get PS+. I'm going to wait until black friday for a year but until then what are the best places/cheapest prices for 30 day codes.

Yeah and that's kind of where their previous games were too. Not horrible but not really good either but at least they're ambitious and try to push the genre forward. I posted in the XBL thread that my basic impression was that it felt like a poor man's Forza Horizon but there's no reason to play it over FH2.

Project Cars looks so great though.

Heard good things about nano assault neo -- wasn't that the one that was a wii u exclusive for ages?   For 9.99 it'll be mine.   Not that I'm going to stop playing Binding of Isaac any time soon.

Funny, I was just thinking the exact opposite. I am up for renewal next month and I honestly don't think I am renewing. All of my online gaming is either done via PC or Xbox 360/Xbox One. The main reason I got PS+ was the free games and the quality of the PS+ releases has gone down dramatically over this last year. I actually expected the quality to drop a bit as I think its pretty unrealistic to think Sony could maintain the pace they were on, but its dropped a lot farther than I thought it would. Were now seeing more indies released into the program than actual retail games and I really have no interest in those games. I want quality retail games, not indies. Given, there isnt much too choose from on the PS4 side, given the console is only a year old, so you have to give Sony a pass in regards to PS+ on the PS4, but there are a MASSIVE number of games to choose from on the PS3 side and the PS3 offerings have been awful as of late. Anyways, I think I am gonna let mine expire and sit on the sidelines for 3-6 months too see if things improve.
