A 7 or 70 is not a bad game. It's not great but it's not bad. It's definitely playable and if you are fan of the genre it would most likely appeal to you. Gamespot, Eurogamer, and Joystiq gave it a 70. Kotaku I didn't read. A 5 or a 50 is a piece of garbage. Polygon is trash. When a site bans people and deletes threads that quickly it's quite obvious what's going on.

With this PS App, is there an ipad version? I found the iPhone version, which obviously works on ipad, just looks like crap. Couldn't find one for ipad though.

I keep telling myself the same thing, I am not even sure you can properly review these games without more time with the MP. I honestly could give two craps about the SP, but for these reviewers to dump on the game without proper MP time seems improper. The worst offender of this is Kotaku with the flat out "No", vs. the "Not Yet" that BF4 got.

 
Anyone experiencing login issues with the PSN store? I have been trying to log on but it keeps saying the site is not available.

I'm kinda weird probably, but I don't like to "purchase" games from the IGC that I'm sure I'll actually enjoy. I'll download a game that I wouldn't normally spend any money on at all, just in case it turns out to be something interesting, but I actually have PS+ for the sales. I've had PS+ for 9 months, and I chart my spending and the non-plus value so I can compare and see if I'm actually saving anything. As of around the 8 month mark, I broke even, and I made some dumb purchase decisions when they were doing $10 for $50 earlier this year that I regretted the next month (would have saved even more on the sales that month than I made back the month before). And on top of that, I'm incredibly picky about the games I'll play, and I frequently can't spend more than $20 or so in a month of my own money on games.

TL;DR version is that PS+ is worth it for just the sales even. :)

Amazon Prime has a ton of anime for free.... I believe Mahormatic is included... but don't quote me on that. There is free anime ALL OVER the internet. Not sure how it is legal, but everything is sitting there...

Case Closed is the best. Not a point to watch anything else. :)

Crunchyroll and Funimations website (which also cross pollinates onto youtube and hulu), are the only legal sites I know of, but they have a crapload of stuff to watch anyway. I've all but stopped using netflix do to how little anime is there now (though they did add a bit more recently), and moved on to Crunchyroll almost exclusively ^_^

I give the Playstation App a 6 out of 10. It's kind of cool, but the Playstation store is just a link to the web page and there's no connect to PS3 feature, only PS4. What do you think of that, internets?

I used to have one as well. I really liked it. I liked it more than I'm currently liking my Galaxy S3 (this is my first time on Android). Alas, Microsoft is still going to be on my shit list for a while longer so I don't really have any desire to go back to Windows Phone any time soon.

crunchewy = Arthur Gies confirmed. The metacritic score for the Playstation App is currently at 82, so only a Polygon sheep would give it a 6.

Truth - My kids actually enjoy some of the older anime. My daughter has watched Princess Nine and Nadia a ton. Both kids love Case Closed.

I'm guessing the Playstation App isn't compatible on my phone (HTC Evo 4G LTE.. Christ that's a complicated name) as every time I click on something it opens up a tab in my browser that says "You have successfully signed in. Return to the previous application to continue". Then I'm brought back to the page I was just on.

Lame since I was going to add some of you guys while I'm wasting time at work. My PSN is also mpaullin if you want to be my special PSN friend.

Yeah, I would love an HBO Go app on the PS3. Right now I have to hook my laptop up to my TV with an HDMI cord to watch it on my big screen. My Xbox 360 ban came right as I got this new package from Comcast, so I never got the chance to use the 360 HBO Go app.

I'd be much more excited about this if they didn't announce yesterday that the game is coming to PS4 next year. I guess I'll wait to see if it gets anything exclusive/unique added to the next-gen versions. If not, I'll pick it up on whichever platform it gets cheapest on the fastest. $25 for it on Vita at Gamestop BF isn't cheap enough for me for a Ubisoft title, and I'd definitely prefer it digital if I end up getting it on Vita (Origins was awesome to play on Vita!).

As I said before, I also would love if Sony finally got the HBO Go app on the PS3 or Vita. Our luck, though, for people holding off on next-gen until the backlog is smaller or gone- they'll probably announce it coming soon, but exclusively to PS4! :)

And on the comments there's a lot of bitching about that one PSP game (also that the US is getting 3 PS3 titles instead of their 2). Proving once again that nobody is happy ever.

HBO Go on the 360 probably came with a fat check for a few years of exclusivity so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. But I don't even have cable or satellite so none of it matters to me. (I'm that guy. But with a TV.)

The new Vita bundles must still be plastered with images of Gravity Rush and Uncharted so I can imagine being stuck with those games through the holiday season (not that they're bad games to be stuck with.)

I'm that guy too. I only have HBO free for 6 months as part of this Comcast promo I got on. So I guess in another 3.5 months I won't give a crap about the HBO Go app either.

 
Oh, I don't have cable anymore but I (unashamedly) bum off my parents' HBO GO. The day cable companies allow us to buy channels a la carte is the day I'll be back. It's already started happening in Canada. And it's okay if you of think I'm a Polygon plant, but I think they currently have the best PS4 hardware review. It's really, really good. Guess big daddy missed a payment!

Same here, minus anyone I could bum HBO from. I get about a call a month from the local cable company asking for me to return.

If A la carte channels were available, I'd take 10 tops...not one sports, news, or "music" channel in the bunch.

I want a Crackle app on the Vita. Seriously, why isn't this a thing?

It seems extremely in-depth, and to be honest I didn't read it all. Their was way too much focus on the software side, which to me should not be a factor in a console review, especially since it was the only real downer that Polygon highlighted. The line "but right now, this is a game console without a game to recommend it." is complete bullshit. I'm sorry that they didn't enjoy Killzone and Knack and don't consider Resogun enough of a "game" to recommend it, but they completely ignore the multitude of multiplatform titles to play on the system.

Even before the delays on DriveClub, I doubt many were buying a PS4 for just the launch games. They're buying it for the potential future that PS4 offers. The same is true of the Xbox One, which is why I feel the whole point is moot and would have been better left omitted, or at the very least they better make the exact same comments in their Xbox One review. (for what it's worth, I think the Xbox One launch lineup is "better", but no way I would call it "good").

Beyond that, whenever people say the Xbox One is going to have more and better games, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! The last two years Sony has absolutely dominated the console exclusives race. Do people really think that Sony is just going to stop making games?

Agreed. Sony has dominated all around for the past 2 years. I started as an XBOX 360 backer (even owning both) but as the gen went on the tables flipped.
