So Worms Battle Island is a PSP game, right?  So I guess we're back to that shit?

Yea, definitely not worth it, especially since it is not confirmed yet (that I know of anyhow). If true, it is a fantastic month of games. I cannot be upset, even though I played and beat all of the ones I have interest in anyways.

 
It's confirmed unless there is some type of radical last second change they need to make.  I'm watching the video on the PS Store right now.

dmc and bioshock infinite are both rad free games, even if ive played them both already. ive still got tons of plus games to take up my time so i cant complain really. and i'll definitely check out brothers.

I have to give them credit for a good month of games even though I will likely only play Brothers and Smart As from the list. Maybe Don't Starve but I do not know anything about it since I dont have any plans for a PS4 yet.

Don't starve is this awesome Diabloish survival game. Really outstanding and one of the games a lot of people seem to have forgotten about from early in the year.
 
Sorry if this is a dumb question but does the walking dead season 2 pass require you to buy the the first episode? It says add-on in the web store so I assume so. I've never purchased a season pass before and played season 1 on disc.

Nope, just buy the SP and you're good to go. In fact people who have ep1 get a lower price, I believe, for having purchased ep 1 already as an apology for the SP coming out late.

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a 3rd Dragon Fantasy game?  Don't know where I got the idea there would be but the wikipedia page doesn't really say anything about that.  If there will be a third I'll just hold off and try to get all three in a go later, if not I'll probably just get the 1 and 2 bundle now even though I feel it'll come in cheaper later...

They're at least working on ports to Android and 3DS, so they could be busy for a bit before they even get started with a Book III. The equivalent of $4 for each game is about as good of a deal as you're going to get unless you're willing to wait until 2015 for the potential of a three game bundle.

I really enjoy these games and I am happy to support the developers. I wish that I had more money when Book II launched, I was actually debating on if i should get it now because i am trying to get my backlog under control, but no more excuses, it was time to pull the trigger.

Is Bioshock Infinite mind blowing?  I'm pretty sure it's a game I'll want on disc.  It also having the original Bioshock has no implication on whether I keep Infinite or not as I already have and am keeping the original Bioshock disc.

How do you even "fix" streaks? I was never trying to get a trophy a day, but it is annoying when I know I got one and it scanned me on the same day but still breaks the streak.

Click on one of the days on that list to bring up a Streak page and there's a "rebuild my streaks" button on the right that should fix it.

Wow I wonder if it works on streaks that broke like 5 days ago? Will mess around with it. Cant believe I didn't find this myself.

Guess I kind of let it slip past since I have to think about selling 3 retail copies of the PS+ games we're getting, but very awesome that we're getting Brothers.  I was just talking about it $0.00 definitely beats $4.74 or whatever it was on sale for on XBL.  I'll definitely check it out as soon at it goes free later in January.

 
There are only three PS3/360 games that I've vowed to never trade, and always have a physical copy of. Go ahead and laugh:

1. Bioshock Infinite with Bioshock original
2. Final Fantasy XIII
3. Blue Dragon

That being said, happy holidays to everyone!

I considered getting a few people some gifts:

- Tyler, I'd get you a PSP and as many fighting games as you'd want.
- Frisky, you would get brand new CTRL, V, and C keys for your keyboard since I'm sure yours are pretty worn down.
- Breakfuss gets a "Polygon gave me a 2/10, even though I'm their number one fan" t-shirt.
- Jay would get a Taco Bell gift card to feed her kids an authentic meal of their culture.
- Eldritch gets a coin, so he'll always have something to flip.

I know I forgot some people, but not everyone can get gifts you greedy jerks. If PSN store accepted Paypal, I'd consider buying the rest of you a game on the store.


On a serious note, I know I'm a dick like 115% of the time, so I'll break character real quick to say that you all are awesome. I get more laughs out of this thread on a daily basis than any other on the Internet. I love the fact that I'm the guy who hates everything, it never ceases to amuse me. You folks are seriously great. The happiest of holidays to you all and your families!

I thought the game was a huge letdown and im a big bioshock fan

I was just about to buy Brothers on the 360. I'm pretty excited about this because I'd prefer it on PS3 anyway and the price is certainly better! And I can't wait to try Don't Starve as well. I played Bioshock Infinite on the 360 and don't see myself playing it again but I'm not complaining about getting a pretty recent game like that. There was some worry that the PS4's requirement of PS+ for multiplayer would result in a dilution of the PS+ offerings. I know it is still early, but that list is pretty solid - so far so good in 2014.

agree, i enjoyed the first two games a lot more, despite claims this one should been GOTY. the shooting is mediocre an annoying, an at times the characters can feel 1 dimensional an fake.

however i did very much enjoy the plot as it got near end an you learn more about the hidden truths. wiki did a better job explaining lot details i missed an made the game more fun also.

tldr

rent it first, if you like it buy it cheap my opinion

Don't know much about Don't Starve, I'll have to watch a gameplay vid or something. I'm excited for Brothers as I recently thought about grabbing it on LIVE. Rather have it on PS3 so good stuff. Of course I bought DMC in one of the last sales around $13 or $14 and haven't played it yet...piss. Vita releases seem rather weak, more piss. Lol. I feel like I've bought quite a bit lately though so I should be good for awhile on what I have. Damn PS+ sales keep me on the no coming back from the backlog train.

Watched some gameplay, looks like item management hell, not my type of game, don't think I'll play it. It's ok though my PS4 has ACIV which should keep me busy for quite some time. It doesn't help I'm also playing through Infamous for the first time, might need to finish that up first as I'm further along in it.

I noticed RPG's trophy card the other day with TWD Season 2 listed on it, and it kind of surprised me.  There are only trophies for the first episode in the group right now.  I do not think it is possible for a game to add a platinum via DLC at a later point, so it makes me wonder if it will even have one this time or if this ends up being like BTTF where they release each episode and with a different small trophy list before doing a disk later with all of them together with a plat.  If I knew it was that way, I would definitely jump on the $15 pass now and then still rent the game later for a plat to go along with it (honestly, I am debating getting it now anyway but that would seal it for me).  Has anyone seen any discussion about that anywhere?

At least give it a try, it's like Diablo meets Minecraft (minus the building) with everything in the dark trying to kill you every night.
