It's entirely subjective, but I made a list awhile back of all the PSVR titles I've played (it's a lot) plus their respective ratings if you're interested. It doesn't tell you anything about the game, but I definitely recommend anything I've rated four stars or above. I still keep it up-to-date.

The rest have been physical(or half physical on Switch) so there's probably a good chance. This will likely be a day one purchase, I'd really been considering buying the Zero collection for DS on ebay or something, glad I didn't now.

Superhot VR is a must die if you have a move controllers. Honestly the best experience for me.

Anyone try out Control yet? I really wanted to play it. I even activated a free trial at GameFly a couple days ago and added it as my only game in an attempt to gimmick the system (it's currently in "low availability" so I failed). Stupid Redbox isn't carrying it either (man, I miss Blockbuster). I can't afford these damn $60 games.

I'm also low-key stressed out about Man of Medan. I preordered it awhile back as part of Target's buy 1, get 1 50% off sale. Last time I preordered something from Target, it took me 2 weeks past the release date to get it (after arguing with customer service back and forth until they finally admitted the system screwed up). Also, I see that the preorder bonus is the "Curator's Cut" which is only available through select retailers (it will be made available as a free update to everyone later on). Target's description doesn't mention it, and I'm not going to bother contacting the incompetents at customer service for confirmation on that. I'm almost wondering if I should preorder somewhere else as a "safety" since it seems to be $24.99 at Walmart and Amazon right now. Sorry, just venting.

The only reason I still get physical copies is because I still have GCU at Best Buy. One that runs out I will probably buy fewer games at launch and the ones I do will be digital. One big reason is that I simply don't have much more space to store physical games. Digital is just so much more convenient in my opinion as well.

 
I don't know...I just don't think I'll ever be able to wrap my head around dropping $60 (or more) at launch for a digital game.

For that much money I need the physical, tangible presence.

Games on sale, and smaller less expensive indie titles sure, but if/when gaming goes all digital I guess I'll finally be able to truly attack the backlog lol.

I did the same, though I am concerned because my Target order says "Backordered" for Man of Medan. Does your's say the same? I put in a pre-order at Bestbuy several months ago before my GCU ran out just in case Target for whatever decided to cancel my order.

I was really hoping for a last minute driveclub dlc sale too... the final four expansion packs (Suzuki, No Limits, MV Agusta, and Finish Line) aren't included in the season pass and I don't think they've ever been on sale. So, need to choose either full price or never before Saturday.

Yep, mine says the same. Estimated delivery date: Mon, Sep 2 - Thu, Sep 5. I wonder if that’s just for shipping, I’m sure they’ll get a couple copies in-store (unfortunately, store pick-up isn’t available for preorders, how dumb).

Walmart.com seems to indicate the same thing (earliest available 9/4). Amazon is probably the quickest bet to get it, but shipping a copy back (since I ultimately get the better deal with Target) would be a pain in the ass. Two more days to make a decision, I guess.

Edit: Maybe preordering from Best Buy or GameStop (whichever guarantees I can pick it up day 1), then returning my Target copy to them whenever I receive it would be the best strategy. Goddamn, it’s hard work being a CAG.

Honestly while I prefer physical and have plenty of space I tend to just go with wherever is cheaper, I am not that picky. I never had gcu so for me right now that seems to be walmart as they are doing $10 under the msrp on almost all new releases, at least at my local walmart. Seems to have gotten Amazon back to doing it for some games as well, decent amount of pre-orders up for $50 on there.

Makes me actually kinda feel bad for my gamestop which is in walking distance of my walmart, it's like kicking someone who is already down.

 
i prefer physical since i can sell the game after i beat it before the value tanks or if i hate it sell it. I hated destiny 1, and i couldn't sell the damm game because it was digital. (friends convinced me to get it for coop).

I also like how it looks in person on a shelf, and can play them 30+ years from now. (yes I will, i play my snes)
 
Well, that's certainly enough of an excuse to get me to play Darksiders III.  But is it enough to make me go back and finish Darksiders II first?

 
Wow, while I think there have been some solid months since they switched to 2 games (like Borderlands/Sonic) this is actually the first month that I am excited for personally. Batman has been pretty cheap before obviously, just never bothered buying it. But Darksiders in particular never got cheap enough for my taste.

Awesome Playstation plus games next month, glad I waited for Darksiders 3. Beat Batman but don't own it digitally so nice to have the option to play it again.
 
I loved all the previous Arkham games, but got 30 minutes into Arkham Knight and was like "this is not good."

It's not THAT bad. The vehicle stuff is definitely annoying but got overblown in it's criticism. I get being majorly disappointed if you're looking for something very specific out of that game, but there's still fun to be had.

 
Well, I finally did it. I earned all 12 silver, gold and platinum passes on the (now defunct) Sony Rewards plan. I did the math and it comes out to a total of 16,200 points, or $160 (and change) redeemed entirely in PSN credit. Not too shabby. I will miss this perk and motivation for going for trophies in the future. Honestly, the drive just isn't there anymore.

I will probably use that final $10 card towards Headspun since there's nothing else in my price range this week. RIP free games

 
And still no idea of a release date for Shovel Knight King of Cards.  It's been two years since they first revealed the trailer for King of Cards and media sites played it.  They need some serious lessons on scope creep, it was a dumb fucking idea to combine King of Cards with Showdown, but I'm sure the marketing guys talked them into it so they could have a single SKU in stores or some stupid shit.

They should have focused development resources on Cards first, got it done, then did the next release for Showdown and whatever bits and nuts they came up as part of it.  I just get the feeling we are having to wait for Cards so they can finish that poor man's Smash Bros. most Shovel Knight fans will only mess with a little.
