Considering they're probably announcing Season 4 this month, just buy it if you actually want it. But it's better on PC.

That seems to just be how it is, at least since I subbed when it was $40. They never mention all the games added each month on the blog post, just the big ones. But each month there has been other games as well.

 
When did Sony start shutting down the sales page prior to the titles going off sale? I was looking at the Under $20 games, but now that the Under $15 page has gone up, they have delisted the other. And All Deals is no help at all. Just shows themes and avatars. No list on PS Blog either. Any way to see what was on sale? I can only tell the sale is still valid till 3 am because Outer Wilds is in my cart.

Totally agree with this. I love Metroidvanias and roguelikes so this should’ve been right up my alley, but it couldn’t keep my attention beyond an hour of playtime. It’s missing something.

I played the first one and really enjoyed the humor. Vaguely reminds me of Futurama. Need to play the other ones.

That's the main issue with the game, as the combat and platforming don't feel good until you get the upgrades and higher level weapons that start making it feel much better. It's well worth $10, but it definitely needed to be better up front.

 
I feel like 3 is the best of the numbered Far Cry games, but Blood Dragon is by far the best in the series. Funny how Blood Dragon was basically an expansion for 3 though- the series has never reached those highs ever again. It needs an Assassin's Creed style reboot badly these days.
 
I just liked the enemies and environment better in 3. Didn't like 5 all that much. Didn't care for playing in Montana or wherever it was based in.

4 is just more of 3. Didn't seem to innovate or do anything better. Didn't like the boss as much as 3 either.

4 is ok but was a bit of a let down for me. To be fair I didn't play 1 or 2.

I liked Blood Dragon a lot more then I thought I would. I started it on 360 but didn't get too far. Then for a couple years didn't have a XBox. Finally gave it another try when I got a XBox One. Glad I finally gave it a second chance. Really cool game.

FC4 was like a subpar rehash of FC3. It wasn't bad, but 3 is better - plus FC3 Classic has been enhanced for the best consoles (X1X/PS4Pro). Far Cry 4 never got that treatment.

Far Cry 3 was the last new game that i bought day 1 that wasn't me springing for a fancier version, like final fantasy remake, or because i got a discount, like with GCU.

I absolutely loved it. Until I hit a glitch in the middle of the game, shortly after defeating Vaas. I was supposed to meet a man in a basement in a fenced off village, but I left the area trying to explore for stuff first. When I came back, i went to where he was supposed to be, but there was nobody there.

I wandered around the village for a bit, trying to find him, looked up a walk through, confirmed he was supposed to be in the basement, went back and still nothing. I couldn't advance the story without meeting this guy, and there was nothing online about the glitch.

I realized that i was going to have to restart the game if I wanted to continue. It was so disappointing. I found out that best buy was doing a trade boost at the time, and the trade in value was around $35, I'm pretty sure it was a 50% trade boost, so i took it in and cut my losses, and learned a lesson about buying a game brand new, at full price.

I’m probably the outlier here, but I think Far Cry 2 is the best. The fire mechanics are top notch and the dlc includes Anton Chigur’s shotgun.

I’m probably the outlier here, but I think Far Cry 2 is the best. The fire mechanics are top notch and the dlc includes Anton Chigur’s shotgun.

I'm with you, loved Far Cry 2. I also liked Primal and New Dawn more than their numbered counterparts.

That's horrendous IMHO. The white looks ugly to my eyes immediately and contrasts a bit too much.

Probably just recycling the mediocre blue cases. Nothing better than getting a brand new ps4 game, open it up and see that the box is already bowing inward
 
Obviously they have a massive stockpile of these boxes somewhere. No other reason why they wouldn't take the opportunity to fix the "disc popping out" issue. The white banner also isn't going to keep people from accidentally buying the wrong version.

 
As someone who collects mainly XB1 this gen, I was extremely jealous of the multiplatform PS4 cases because most had sweet artwork on the spine compared to the bland XB1 cases. Won't be the case next gen lol. Horrendous looking case.

I used to be, but then I had kids who left discs out to get scratched. Then I got a house that got messy with disc clutter. Then I got fat and was too lazy to get up and put the disc in. Then I got divorced and my wife took half my discs.

 
So, how do people on here feel about PSOne, PS2, and PS3 backwards compatible games being exclusive to PSNow? It sounds like a bad idea to me. I don't want to pay a monthly fee just to play a few games from previous consoles that they decide. And, the streaming from PSNow isn't very good with my slow garbage Comcast internet. If Xbox can figure out how to do BC from a disc, and Sony used to know how on the PS3, I don't see why they can't just take the PS3 BC and put that in the PS5.
Edit: I had the last model of PS3 with the digital backwards compatibility after they removed the PS2 hardware from inside. So, Sony could have taken that digital emulator and slapped it into the PS5, at least for PS2 and PSOne games.

Nobody has said it's exclusive. It just said that there's a patent for the technology to allow them to put BC on Playstation Now (which they don't even have to act on.) I'm sure there's a patent that allows them to put PS4 games on PS Now, but we haven't stopped getting PS4 games outside of PS Now.

Almost all video game news outlets are currently reporting it as how the PS5 will do backwards compatible games for the PSOne-PS3. And, until Sony corrects them, this is all we have to go on.

They're all posting about the same Twitter user as your source. In that thread, another user mentioned that it's a Gaikai patent from 2012. I don't know what the truth is, but nothing official has been announced since the PS5 console reveal. It's useless to check sites or social media every day because there's only one source with credible information, and you'll hear it from them directly.

I was just about to say, this looks a lot like the gaikai patent, because I distinctly remember several articles talking about how we would POTENTIALLY be streaming every generation of PS on the upcoming PS4 due to said patent.

Until Sony says something official, I'm sitting on the fence on this one.
