If your in to repetitive twin stick shooters and aliens, yes. I really enjoyed them. But i really like twin stick shooters. Good mindless fun.

fuckin A! All these games on sale are probably going to push me into finally upgrading to a 32GB memory card for my Vita.

I don't suppose there's any way to gift purchases? That Two Worlds II: Velvet Edition is an obscenely good deal. It's not as good of a game as, say, Skyrim, but there's a fun crafting system, the spell system is unique - sort of like Magicka for PC - and there's a separate campaign you can play co-op online. I don't know of any other open world RPGs that can be played co-op.
Friski is the Two worlds II velvet the entire game for $5 or just the dlc?
It's the Game of the Year Edition, which includes the Pirates and Defense DLC.

Jesus the extra deals were a big surprise. Don't have enough money for all of them so I'm trying to decide which to narrow down.

Is Pure Chess cross buy? How does Hell Yeah stand among all the platformers?
How much was Two Worlds II last time it was on sale? $10? I remember I passed last time, but I don't think I can pass at $5.
It was $10 so that is why I was suprised to see it for $5.

@realit3y thanks.

yeah i got it for $10 and havnt touched it. fail. lol.
i really need to kick myself for getting psn games on release.
2013 i will wait til they are on a deal or free or til my backlog dries up(lol).
too many times i jump at things like twoworlds2 for $10 or odin sphere for $10 and then never touch them...

also im down for that Rage dlc for $5, that's bout half what i paid for the game. Extra Hard difficulty sounds like fun. also re6 and ac3 got huge patches, read about on ps3trophies.org. woot

$9.99 back in August. I'm surprised it's even on sale again, as it seemed like the kind of deal that would happen once and never again.

Edit: If you're wondering how big the Vita games are that are on sale:

Dokuro - 310 MB
Escape Plan - 842 MB
LittleBigPlanet - 1.1 GB
Pure Chess - 472 MB
Rayman Origins - 931 MB
Smart As... - 1.4 GB

Edit 2: There's an odd banner in the PS Store for a Flash Sale that takes place this weekend only with the tagline "Big Game. Huge Deal." I'm not sure if it's a video or game sale.

yeah. when the game is on sale same price as dlc, you think it's a deal. when the game costs less than the dlc and is bundled with dlc, that's crazy.

Yes I also saw that one big games this weekends I wonder what's on it but you still can't access that section

Already bought every deal game I want except the Beatshapers Indie Bundle. Can't find it on my Vita, even though I don't have any of the games from the bundle. Le sigh. Thanks for the info on PSN/PS+ deals all the time.

I got a Vita not too long ago, but since I have PS+, I'm not in too big of a rush to pick up Vita games. That being said, Dokuro and Escape Plan have caught my eye. If I were to only buy one, which one should I buy?

That's too bad, I probably would have picked it up if it was. I like chess enough that I'm interested, but I'll probably just wait and see if it ever gets around $2-$3 for the Vita version.

Funny, the first half of your post talks about being patient and waiting for sales.

Second half of your post details your plans to buy Day 1 DLC at full price. ;)

It's repeatedly listed as a permanent price drop in every spot that it could be listed like that, so it's a permanent price drop.

It's a PS3 bundle.

my intentions are to be patient and wait for sales, obviously i dont live up to my intentions.
also they barely give discounts on dlc, so iv got no qualms paying full price. i paid full price for dark souls dlc and that was $15. $5 isnt bad, and a bunch of trophies and new difficulty, so its all good.
It's a PS3 bundle.
Did not realize that. Makes a lot of sense as to why I can't see it then. Thanks for the response.
Anyone else unable to get Sound Shapes demo to install? It's errored out for me at 15% even after a redownload.
On PS3 or Vita? I tried on my Vita and got that exact error (as have MANY others) so now I'm downloading the PS3 version of the demo, hopefully not futily.

EDIT: Just installed on my PS3 just fine and playing it now. :)

any hypothesis on the non plus sale games that were just added like alien breed to go away after 1 week or even get additional plus discounts? sony has a way of making you regret waiting almost as much as not waiting

The 3DS demo of Crush seemed interesting enough that the PSP version might be worth $2.50... any impressions? Not that I really have time for it but for the price it could be worth back-logging.

Dokuro definitely sounds as if it's worth $10, though. Apparently it was a full retail release in Japan and has over 150 levels!

Crush is definitely worth $2.50 if you dig the concept. I nearly beat it back in 2007 or so and I'm tempted to pick it up again... Just be warned that the game becomes *incredibly* difficult in the later stages.

Anyone have recommendations on the PSP games on sale? Some of them look fun, but I don't want to buy them and then find out Sony makes them even cheaper for Plus members next week.
pure chess isn't cross buy
Man, they've got it really confusingly worded on the text for the Vita version... "One-time license fee for downloads to up to 2 console systems and 2 portable systems that are associated with the purchasing account." Why in the hell would I want to download it to even two console systems if I can't play it on the console anyway... Got my hopes up for no reason. :(

Anyway, bah... so if I want the game on both systems, I have to buy it twice. Then presumably then if I want the add-on game packs on both, I'd have to buy them twice too. And there's no playing between systems, or starting a game on one system and continuing it on the other. Talk about missed opportunities -- a game like this really calls for cross-play between systems.

No cross-buy or cross-play, no sale.

No way of really knowing, but a lot of their non-Plus sales seem to last 2 weeks. But no way to know for sure, I would say don't risk it on anything you're pretty sure you want.

I don't see the Alien Breed series getting any sort of additional PS+ discount in the near future if it didn't get one now. All three games for ~$10 is a pretty good deal, though the games (well the first one anyway) was rather mediocre.

Thanks for mentioning Crush. I don't pay all that much attention to the PSP deals, so I figured Crush was some sort of block puzzle game. But checking out the reviews, I think I may pick it up for $2.50.

Nice deal on Two Worlds 2. Been curious about it since my brother got the platinum last year. Almost bit on a few Steam sales, but I have to admit I put more effort into a game when there're trophies / achievements to unlock. $5 for the PS3 version with DLC . . . glad I didn't bite on any of the recent PC version sales.

On the fence about After Burner Climax and Rayman Origins. I have a feeling the latter is a prime candidate for an eventual PS+ Instant Game Collection freebie, and I picked up a bunch of HD Collection discs over the Black Friday sales that could keep me busy for another 3 or 4 months easy.

Some good deals this week. Now XSeed just needs to have another sale.

This. There so many XSEED games I would buy if they were to go on sale.

Rayman Origins is awesome. I picked up the disc-based version when it was $10 at Best Buy back in August. Personally, I prefer to get games on disc when I can, so I'd be inclined to say hold out for another disc deal and/or possible Instant Game Collection status, but that's me. Depends how you feel about downloads. Definitely get it, though.

I have After Burner Climax on the 360, and... meh. It's ok. I played it for a little bit when I bought it and have never felt a great urge to go back. It's cheap, though, so if it looks like something you'd like it's probably worth a try.

Somewhat against my better judgement, I grabbed Two Worlds 2. The first game was so awful in every possible way, but the general consensus that I've seen is that this one is a lot better, and I doubt the price will ever be better on it. We'll see... :cold:

Anyone have any thoughts on I Am Alive? I downloaded the demo, but if it's only on sale for this week as the OP indicates, I'm not sure I'll get around to trying it in time...

Is Two Worlds GOTY edition worth it? Does it include everything? It shows a ton of expansions and it doesn't exactly say if it covers them all. I don't want to buy it, then need to buy all the other crap. You'd think GOTY encompasses everything though. Anyone know?
Thanks! Still hard to pick though, lol!
Let me ask this then, do you like mild dating sim elements? Because Riviera has the "going to end up with the girl you like the most" element of jrpgs that some people love and others hate.

Really if you're asking a jrpg fan such as myself who owned both for the GBA, I say Riviera by far.

Bought a few games that are on sale now back at the end of October for the $20 promo. I didn't even get to play any of them yet. I should've just waited. Unhappy. :(

Dear Powers That Be,

Can we PLEASE get a sale on Valkyria Chronicles 2??? $39.99 is way too much for a digital download of a freaking PSP game!

If they cut it to 20 I would buy it in a second so I could play it on the Vita. I have it for the PSP but I would MUCH rather play it on the bigger screen. It just amazes me that a DD of a PSP game that is a few years old is 40 freaking dollars.

Oh, they finally stopped selling the bundle with all the DLC for $22?

I've been waiting a while for a Gungnir price drop to get closer to retail pricing, so I'll probably have to jump on that to add to my Dept Heaven PSN collection.

Only one I don't have is KitN since that seems like it would be a downgrade from the DS, unless it has extra content.
Anyone else unable to get Sound Shapes demo to install? It's errored out for me at 15% even after a redownload.
Same thing happened to me. Heck, earlier, it says I couldn't even download the demo on a Vita. Should try to redownload it & see if it's been fixed.

Wouldn't mind a $20 sale or something. You think with all the sales Sega does, this would eventually get discounted sooner or later.
It's a decent enough game for only $2.50. The more you play, the more EX Options you unlock (more lives, bigger crosshair, faster speed, unlimited missiles, etc.). There's also a challenge mode if you want to clear certain objectives.
