I'll be picking up the HotD. I picked up a LBP2 Move bundle and have been collecting light gun games for the PS3.

Also, I recommend The Unfinished Swan for those on the fence. It's really like playing through a children's book. Just delightful especially if you have some children that like watching you play games.

So I have an unopened Move set I got about a year ago. Is Unfinished Swan better with Move or should I just be lazy and use the controller? haha. Thanks!

I haven't played it without Move, but the thing I like about Move shooters/first-person games is that you can aim independent of where you're looking to some degree. Here's the gameplay video I did with Move to show what I'm talking about, as you can aim around the screen without having to move the camera along with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHIE61qXmps

Play it however you want as long as you play it. The game does a great job of changing up its core mechanic so that you're not doing the same thing for very long.

I may have to do a video to show off how Foosball 2012 makes use of Move, as it supports two Move controllers in the way that you'd expect for a foosball game. The weird thing is that you control two rows with each controller, which takes a bit to wrap your head around that. I played a few matches that way and ended up scoring every single goal for and against me.
Because they finally gave us what we want.
The worst part about these sales is that it gives people the unreasonable expectation that we "deserve" to get 13 games 75% off every week, and when we don't get it, Sony doesn't care about us and what we want.
Psychonauts – Regular $9.99, Sale $4.99, PS Plus $2.50
Never played Psychonauts. Would've probably picked that up if my PS+ trial hadn't just expired.

Is Psychonauts better on the PC or PS3? I have it on Steam but if it's easier to play on PS3 with the controller, I wouldn't mind spending $2.50 to get it there.

I also hate playing games on the computer.

Well, the PC version is just a console port. It was designed to be played with a controller. I haven't played the pc version (own 2 copies...) but it controls pretty well with a controller. There are some tricky parts but that's something that goes with a game of it's age.

Pretty hilarious that Best Buy just had LBK for 20$. Thats a sure buy for me, so I'll finally have all the LBP games.

Other than that, probably House of the Dead and Hot Shot's Golf.

Good to know, I'll buy it then.

I absolutely loved the Unfinished Swan demo and knew it was only a matter of time when they would discount it. At $3.75 though it might just be the best deal in PSN history, can not wait for the store to update.

If anybody wants to see some of these games in action, I can make some videos for:

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Jet Set Radio
Ratchet & Clank
Shank 2
I wouldnt mind seeing some Hot Shots Golf footage, curious if the gameplay is really close to World Invitational on the Vita.
Mind explaining that a bit further so I know what you mean by that?

Err, i mean if theres a lot of different gameplay mechanics as far as they go. Didn't know if they are both fairly close, or if theres a lot of differences.

Damn, for the 13 for '13 sale, I would buy everything if I could. I guess I'll just have to settle for Little Big Planet Karting. Good thing I passed it up yesterday on Best Buy's DOTD for $20.

It's a lot closer to World Invitational than the Open Tee games on PSP. I managed to get a round in with Sackgirl for this video, which should be up later tonight.

Okay thanks. For that price, I dont think I could pass it up

DOn't know if you've played far enough, or if anyone else has feel free to chime in, but does Out of Bounds have a sudden difficulty spike? In World Invitational, I was doing pretty good up until like the 5th tier (whichever you start unlocking the advanced tier of characters), and all of a sudden, the game was like "Lol, you thought this game was easy? fuck you, here's some impossible courses that your intermediate characters cant handle, but your new advanced characters don't have enough loyalty to get you through either."

hmmm, interested in very few, but sadly my internet is freaking slow and I saw that LBK is 7gb?!?!
damn..... Lets hope that the Amazon Gold Box has some similar deals XD

PC version has been updated with Steam achievements and 360 controller support as well as 1080p/widescreen so I would recommend that. The one on PSN is just an emulation of the PS2 game if I'm not mistaken, so it's likely no trophies, 480i and not widescreen.

Solid week. In for Foosball 2012 (Vita), Unfinished Swan, LittleBigPlanet Karting and maybe House of the Dead or Ratchet and Clank (though I'd prefer to just get the collection...). Curious to see reviews on escapeVector, the videos are intriguing.

Definitely grabbing The Unfinished Swan. escapeVektor looks very interesting but I don't think I need it right now, maybe if it had been $5. I've never played R&C or J&D, so those are both somewhat tempting... although they each would leave me with 1/3rd of a trilogy, which is a bit weird. I'll think it over. I'll have two weeks to decide, after all.

Has anyone been able to do this yet?
I add the amount then click "continue" and then "continue" again when it tells me it's leaving and I get a blank page (sony header) that says "Choose one of the following payment methods:" Yet there is nothing to choose.

There already are reviews. I'm pretty sure this is the same version that is already out for the 3DS, if not it should be rather similar (I don't recall reading if there were a lot of enhancements or anything). Currently has a 79 on Metacritic.

fucking A - of course I bought Unfinished Swan at full price when it first came out. That was one of the few times I did that all year - that'll teach me :bomb:.

I may pick up LBP Karting even though I got the disc version for $25 before Christmas. That way me and my son can play on the 2 PS3s and build tracks/get trophies together (as opposed to split screen where only one person is really logged in). Will have to look into the rest. I assume Machinarium is the same as the iOS game? I actually started playing that on my son's iPad last week.

Hopefully someone here will post if the digital LBPK is compatible with the save file from the retail version. I hate when they make those not work together.

Why don't you sell your disc version of lbp karting since you are going to buy that version digital you can still afterwards play in 2 ps3's if you gameshare your account to the other ps3 and download the game from there.

and you still make an extra money

Does anybody have any recomendations regarding the games on the 13 for 13 list? I've played HoD, J&D, R&C and LBPR but the rest are unknowns. Anything worth a look?

Well, yeah, that was the plan - I just didn't spell it out in detail ;).

BUT - need to find out if the save file is compatible first because I actually finished the game on my account already - would stick with the disc copy if it is not. Also, I'm curious if the digital version comes with the online pass. I assume it does as these things usually do - but note that with the disc-based copy you need to download the online pass code. That also makes resale a hassle because you have to let the buyer know they need to shell out for that if they want to play online.

I loved Shank 2, though I thought the first game was a little better. The best part is doing the enemy rush mode with a partner (this can be played online), plus there are a number of characters to unlock with different abilities. Just be warned that the mode is VERY difficult to beat and quite easy to randomly fail.

Thanks for the insight! I def will check it out for sure.

Hmmmm, to jump on LBPK or listen to that little voice in my head telling me that it will most definitely make the instant game collection one day. My backlog is obscene. I should wait right? someone talk me off the ledge haha

Is it my imagination or did Swan go from $2.50 to 3.75? I might be mis-remembering the prices, I saw them when I woke up and wasn't fully awake.

No, The Unfinished Swan is $14.99 normally, so $3.75 is 75% off.
It's hard to go back to the PSP's analog nub and smaller form factor after using the Vita.
I know, right? I still have my PSP on a separate account with like 50 psn games (mostly rpgs). But I just can't see myself going back to it, even though i haven't even had a chance to play some of the best games (Valkryia Chronicles 2, etc).

Arggh. Debating just selling the psp, but at the same time... i hate giving up access to those games even if I don't think i'll play them.
