The worst part is that the answer to that question is right near the top of the OP in big red letters.
It's a proven fact that I'm the only person that reads the OP.

Some news for today:
I just want the final fantasy sale to go live already. The waiting game sucks.
It's not really a waiting game though. Sony typically does their updates around the same general time each week. It's not completely static, but if you're sitting there waiting for the sale to go live all day, you're doing it wrong.

There's a two hour window, usually between 5 and 7 pm EST that Sony updates their store. So, the store could have been updated at any time in the last two hours if their past practices are any indication of when the store will be updated today

It usually isn't updated by 6 est. More like 7.

FF8 is showing up for me as FREE! It just says download (not purchased)

Did I get it for free back in the day? Dont think so!

Go now before they fix it!!!!

vita says $5

Pulled out the Vita for the FF sale and charged it up.

Unfortunately when I try to access the PS Store from the device, it tells me an update is required. When I try to download the update, however, I get "An error has occurred".

Bleh.

fuckING BULLSHIT

FF8 showed up as download, and didnt ask me to pay

Yet got email saying they took 4.99 out of my account

Guess thats what I get for trying to game the system

The Free PS Mobile game for this week is Aqua Kitty:
Aqua Kitty (Free)

Due to a sudden shortage of milk, cats around the world are forced to seek out new sources to get their fix. You and your team of milk mining kittens have overcome a fear of water to drill down under the ocean seabed and begin extracting vast reserves of what seems to be naturally forming full-fat milk.Get this PS Mobile title for free on the PS Vita Store and your PS Mobile Certified Devices tomorrow, Wednesday Feb. 6 through Feb. 12th. For more information, click here.

I do not like this instant download that takes place now when things are free. I may purchase a free tv episode but I do not want to download it instantly, in most cases.

Wish I had waited a few years for the PSOne FFs, but they didn't have sales on those a the time. At least I can pick up the digital versions of Dissidia 012 and FF4 Complete now.

Is it true that Dissidia 012 also includes the first Dissidia? And is the prologus worth purchasing?

Now I'm hoping for an XSeed sale -- Trails in the Sky and Ys 7 preferably, unless they're coming to Steam.

This happened to me, too. I called up and they are "processing a refund request." I suggest you do the same so that they #1 refund our money and #2 know it's an error...in that freaking order.

BTW my wallet now shows as 0.00 although I've got money in it.:hot:

Dissidia 012: Duodecim contains the original Dissidia's story with the upgraded gameplay. As for Prologus, you only really miss out on getting Aerith as an assist. It was meant to be more of one of those "unique" demos where it was a separate story leading to the full game, but it'd give you some exclusive content (as mentioned, Aerith as an assist) and was meant to be a prologue to the full game.
If i got FFT : War of the Lions through PS+ last month am I missing anything by not purchasing the PSClassic version
Not really, since War of the Lions is pretty much a huge updated port that added a ton of content.

Better load times.

Wowzers. On the SEN website, I clicked on my purchase history to see if I already bought something and I had 102 pages of items. That's over a thousand things I purchased, got for free or downloaded. Yikes.
I was around when they were released and I say otherwise ;).

VI is great though, easily my second favorite behind IV. I still fight the urge to call them 2 and 3 instead of 4 and 6 though. I'm probably one of three people that didn't like IX. I really should have, good nostalgia (maybe too much), nice skill system...I just didn't like the characters (except Vivi and Steiner, they were cool) or story. I'll probably try it again to see if my opinion changed, as it was somewhat colored by the piece of shit strategy guide that came out with it.
Same. Mine goes IV, VI, VII.

Picked up DISSIDIA 012[duodecim], FINAL FANTASY IV: Complete Collection (PSP), and Final Fantasy VI (PSOne Classics) from my Vita. I'll purchase FF V from my PS3 when I get home.

Since others are listing their faves, mine are: VI, IV, and IX... but I've certainly enjoyed most FF titles. I'm 32, so my first one was the first title for the NES, and I became an instant fan of the franchise once the SNES titles hit.

Not a big deal, but Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars also dropped to $2.99 permanently. They originally had it labeled as Battleball Arena on the Blog, but looks like they've updated that.

I'm really tempted by that Bentley's Hackpack, seeing as it's both only $3 & cross buy. It looks to be a whole bunch of levels based on the hacking mini-games from past Sly games & I assume the new one that's out. Anyone have opinions on it?

Probably gonna grab Noby Noby boy for $2.50. I think the 40% off on Knytt is probably gonna be JUST enough to get me to cave as well. Namco Collection and Big Sky Infinity are maybe's for me.

And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least the littlest bit interested in Ben 10 Galactic Racing for Vita.

I'm probably gonna pass on it for now. But I think the PS Blog said there would be a demo.

I thought it looked great from a trailer I watched online, but it's 2.5 GBs which is too much space on the vita for me, but I will try the demo. Looks really cool though.

I was trying to figure out what the fuck that was since I had never head of anything called Battleball Arena.

There are demos for both versions of Bentley's Hackpack.

Ok, I know this is lame but I couldn't find many reviews on FFVI for PS1. I'm a casual FF gamer (played 4,7,10,and 13) but never played 6 which is considered one of the best.

Is the PS1 port worth the five bucks or would I better served finding another version to play? I have most devices but having it on the vita seemed like an ideal situation. Are load time alleviated with the digital copy? Are controls decent? Otherwise I bought 9 because it always looked fun and I'll get to it when I finally finish Persona 4.

Yeah, same here. Couldn't find anything on Google for it.

It's only 748 MB on Vita. They just add up the file size of both versions into that count.

In for IV, VII-IX, and Duodecim + Prologus. I may still get FFT for PSX despite owning it on disc in addition to a digital copy of WotL, so I can have a portable copy to play without that annoying slowdown during spellcasting that WotL has. I may also nab V and VI too despite owning Anthology, will hold off on Origins and continue to wait patiently for the PSP remakes of I and II to go on PSN, and wish (like some others) that III was part of this sale!

EDIT: Bah I bought Origins too. :p
Considering future soldier (which is a great single player campaign) was been $12.99 before on sale, id say no.
thank you much! :D

It is ridiculous that namco is charging $20 for psp games and calling it a sale. I would be interested in soul calibur for $10. The psp is virtually dead in NA so why not permanently drop the original price to $20 and have the sale for $10.

Well, I need FF VI and VII and Artorias of the Abyss, plus St. Elmo's Fire.... Haven't spent this much on the PSN store in a while, so yeah, my wallet will be cracked open and then sealed again until I see an Okami or MVC: Origins sale eventually (hopefully!)

wow, uh, FFVI and my Vita are not getting along. It was stuttering at first, but enabling fast load fixed that.

Then I tried to get into the menu... 5 second load to get in, 8 seconds to get out, on the dot every time.

Not sure if I'll be able to deal with that.

Wow, the ps store on ps3 is even worse now. There aren't any add to cart buttons for free content. I couldn't just add the free addons and ps+ content and checkout. You have click download and wait a while for an item to start downloading and cancel it.

Update: I'm even getting "It may take a minute to activate" messages lol
