@ Tyler Yes, they were $10 (all episodes)during the Xbox sale.
My bad. All I remember was that the 1st episode was free, then the rest was 1/2 off. Still, $10 is a good deal.
Holy crap, $10 for all 5 episodes of The Walking Dead would be an amazing deal. & I got them on Xbox Live for about $20 when they were on sale a few months back....really need to finish that one of these days (in the middle of replaying Ep. 2).
I got them on XBL for $10, back in the countdown to 2013 sale. AWESOME GAME:applause:, and would be awesome for those that haven't played it to get it for so cheap. I think ep 2 stuck with me the most, though I don't think I've the nerve to play it again...

Exactly, great deal. I re bought them all during they sale.
Should add Maverick Hunter X and maybe the voting link to the OP
It'll be added when the store is updated. There's no voting page on the store yet, so there's nothing to link to.

Not trying to derail the thread, but is tomorrow really gonna be a PS4 announcement? What if it isn't? I don't want to go home early just for some vita/ps3 stuff lol. Thanksin advance.

Thanksin advance.
It either could be that or something relating to "Playstation Cloud" that had a domain registered not long ago. Can't help but wonder if it's like a PS3, but only for streaming/digital games, similar to the PSP Go being digital only.

nobody truly knows (outside those announcing) but if it isn't, we're going to see a freakout to end all freakouts. so yes, it's almost certainly going to be a ps4 announcement. sony would be stupid to have not put that rumor out immediately -- instead, they've fanned the flames by putting out retrospective videos... so yes, it's going to be ps4. almost certainly.

Seconding a larger % sale for the winners. Seems pointless to put things on sale for the same % as before (or less in cases of games like Unfinished Swan).

Thank you for the responses. I'm hoping now it won't be a ps4 announcement just to see the meltdowns that will take place after the event. Get yo popcorns ready! :)

The only game I really want from that PSN Awards sale is Legends of Dragoon. Barring that, I'll go with the majority on the rest of the votes. :D

If it isn't, they've been marketing the event in the most misleading way possible. They've been releasing videos since last week about the evolution of the PlayStation brand as they've released each new console/handheld and all sorts of special wording about the event that clearly says that it's about their new console.
I just hope people don't vote for stuff that was already on sale.
They'll vote for whatever dumb thing they want. Chrono Trigger won best PS1 Classic last year over something more deserving like Xenogears.

Why would you have to go home early? Finding out the info an hour later isn't the end of the world.

Yes it is.

Hard to avoid spoilers for something like that.
Yes it is.

Spoilers? It's not a movie. Also, it is very tough. You would have to avoid video game website while at work. That does sound pretty intense.

Oh god.

I would so love to buy a cheap copy of Gravity Rush even though I already beat it when I had PS+, but it's pretty much useless to those who still have it.

So glad to see we're getting Vanquish for free. I bought that for 360, beat the crap out of it, sold it, and immediately regret it. This saves me from buying another copy (and I get to start fresh now and go for trophies instead of achievements). Amazing game.

+1 The released evolution videos have confirmed this will be a PS4 announcement. Why show them if you are only going to talk about a new 128 GB Vita memory card?

The WSJ making various reports about the PS4 is proof enough that most if not all media outlets will pick the story up.
Nothing at all wrong with it in my opinion. I've enjoyed the most of the recent games and discounts we've got.

Son of a.... I was looking at a totally different link  Thanks man ended up turning my PS3 on just to get that and Critter last night. Bookmarking the page so you guys don't have to deal with my late night stupidity.

I wonder what's going to happen to our ps+ subscriptions if Sony phases out ps+ in favor of "Playstation World." My ps+ sub ends around 2016:rofl:. Hope we don't get screwed.

That's all some of us do all day at work, but without sound watching the stream would be pointless.

Life is really hard sometimes. I wish I didn't have to work since people will spoil everything before I get to watch it.

If people don't understand this, you can read this article here:

http://kotaku.com/5985356/source-th...d-youll-be-able-to-control-it-with-your-phone

It could mean the name could be phased out, but I dunno. Those people that bought those 1 month cards might be mad. :)
As long as the thing has backward compatibility, I wont be complaining. Not gonna own a PS3 and a PS4....
Along with common sense, it has been widely reported that it won't, but let's hope that's wrong.

Personally, I think the blurb about being able to watch your friends play games is brilliant.

Thats what I heard as well, I just really hope its wrong. Also not sure if I want my friends watching me as I play lol....

I see the thing about Gaikai streaming if it detects you have a disc, but not really sure how well that would work out...

Pretty happy Hotline Miami is coming to PSN. I was going to get it on PC during the STEAM sale but now I will buy it here. I have $10 for Torchlight 2 whenever I get a chance to play it.

I have a feeling the voting is going to be seriously disappointing for me...

If the voting goes my way I'll buy 5 or 6 games

If it goes the way I expect it, I'll be buying nothing
As long as I can play all my purchases in the PSN store, I'll be okay with it.
Unless Sony surprises everyone, you won't be able to play them. All of the non-classic, non-mini games in the store are basically PS3 games, they are just in a different format. Something like the Unfinished Swan is a PS3 game through and through, it's just not on a disc. Unless there is some kind of PS3 emulator that Sony whips out, they won't work. Only thing I can think of is that maybe the devs of each game port them to PS4, but the incentive to do so would probably vary greatly from game to game.

Sony has a pretty reliable PS1 emulator, as we've seen in both the PS2 and PS3. It's almost perfect. One would think they could throw that in. Their PS2 emulator isn't that bad either, as Digital Foundry describes here:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-ps2-classics-on-ps3
But the PS2 is a complex beast, so I wouldn't hold my breath on there not being issues with that.

Would be funny if Sony announced that the first runs of PS4s would have PS3, PS2 and PS1 silicon on board for a limited time before being pulled. I'd camp out for that... and I don't do that kind of stuff.
I really hope Persona 3 FES wins. Want to get that, and having it on sale would be sweet.
I think it was just a month or so ago. Obviously that's no help to you now, but that's one of the ones I hope doesn't win.

Thanks for the detailed response.

I'm not usually a day 1 console purchaser. The only system I bought Day 1 was the PSP. I guess I'll keep my PS3 then and after a while purchase a PS4 when all the kinks seems to be in order.
