Thanks Admiralvic for reminding me about this. I need to play FFA so I can get the offer for the US.
I believe the offer is linked to disc benefits (like the Vita version is) and won't be useable till the Vita version is out. Not sure sure how they're doing it on EU (since they're sending the Motorstorm RC voucher to people), but I doubt they're just going to give it to anyone that plays the game.

Maybe u get Motorstorm if u purchase it on the psn store?

update he says

The way we calculate who is eligible is by tracking who’s played the PS3 version of Q&C: QForce online. We’ll be doing another data collection for R&C: Gladiator, and at that stage we’ll work out who’s been online since we distributed MotorStorm RC so you will receive both.
Thanks,
Ross
Not sure if someone mentioned it, but they also updated Ratchet and Clank FFA in EU. Apparently they're getting both the upcoming Ratchet game (same as US) and a voucher code for Motorstorm RC. Between that and their month of plus... I really hope US brings something good. I normally don't mind this stuff, but it's seriously getting too vast to ignore.
Where does it say they're getting Deadlocked? From what I could tell all they're getting is Motorstorm RC.

EDIT: Oh, apparently it's called Gladiator over there. My bad, that threw me off.

I guess life just isn't fair sometimes, huh guys?

I didn't know if you needed to have played the game so it's linked with your account and they knew about the early adopters. Have you heard how Sony is determining this? I know the Vita version was delayed just wanted to make sure not to miss Deadlocked.

Wait how exactly does this work. I know it was originally supposed to come with a Vita Cross Buy FFA copy. But since they are now including both additions (im assuming you mean Deadlocked and Vita FFA) does this mean I can still go buy a new copy today and receive both the extras? Or did the game have to be purchased close to release. I always meant to get this game but had been waiting since Im mainly interested in the vita copy.

Ah didn't read the comments, good catch.

So EU to get For PS3 there's Mass Effect 3, Dead or Alive 5, and Joe Danger 2: The Movie, Vita to get Puddle and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. All through March... So maybe a lingering hope some of those are coming here? Looking at you Sleeping Dogs...
Most likely GoW3 or Origins becomes free for US to promote Ascension now that i think about it
I'd love origins. Only game I dont have lol

This PS+ thing is great, except that it does make me think twice about buying games, for "fear" that they'll later show up for "free". Seems like there's some negatives in this for Sony. It might sell hardware, but perhaps limits game sales to AAA titles that are less likely to show up on PS+.

Looks like March is the month I use up my EU PS+ free trial. Definitely wanna play Dead or Alive 5 and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Thanks for the reminder - went a head and bought the full price version of FFA from the store. Usually wouldn't do that, but with both a Vita version of FFA + Deadlocked included later on it seems like an ok deal at worst (guessing Deadlocked is going to go for $10 regular price).

Ooh, all these comments made me figure out what I'll spend my free $10 on. R&C FFA and Ill get Deadlocked for FREE!!! (that offer is still going on for USA, right?)

you can't play on your profile MGS HD it is only for Vita.

Reality already beat me to it, but the process of playing games from other regions on your Vita is a pain in the ass, and I don't believe it's possible at all to play games from other regions on the Vita using a US account.
No blogcast, huh? Curious if there is anything I will be buying next week besides Star Wars Pinball (so stoked!).
Maybe they'll churn one out today and discuss the PS4, but more than likely they've all been busy with the PS4 event and won't do one this week.

So the Vita versions are the ones being free? I was just assuming it was the PS3 versions.
Entering PS Plus in March:

6th March: Mass Effect 3
6th March: Dead or Alive 5
6th March: Joe Danger 2
13th March: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
20th March: Puddle

Nothing I'm too excited about honestly but still they're some pretty decent games.

I've never played Mass Effect at all. Would it be stupid to just randomly jump into the 3rd and hope to have some fun with it?
So the Vita versions are the ones being free? I was just assuming it was the PS3 versions.
If you're referring to the MGS HD Collection, it is free for EU+ for Vita, not for PS3. If it were free for PS3 I would have been thrilled. Want to play it but not enough to pay for it.

Yes. If anything start with 2, its best in series IMO

Me1 is amazing but a little rough around the edges
Wheres some PS+ love for the US ???
Well we finally got Vanquish! So we've got that going for us, which is nice. Hopefully they keep giving at least one good game a month. They've got some catching up to do imo.

I think Runner 2 is supposed to be out next week too.

If that's really a concern for you (that a game might show up free at some point in the future in PS+) wouldn't it just mean that you probably don't want to play it all that bad and you're better off not buying it regardless? If anything they've accidentally introduced a program that enforces a modicum of self-restraint.
I'll admit, I'm a little jealous they got Joe Danger 2.
I would just tell you join EU+ as well as US, but it isn't nearly as easy as I thought it'd be to actually sign up for the EU service (everything else was simple). IF you have no problem purchasing an EU+ sub or a code for one then I highly recommend it.
Any impressions on the vita copy of Urban Trial whatever it's called? The demo was kinda fun but I question the replayability or variability of gameplay.
Is there really a demo? I didn't see a demo at all on both the Vita store or the PS3 store. Also, Playstation's website specifically says there are no demos for this game:

http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/demos/urban-trial-freestyle-demo.html

Sorry, I was looking at the PS3 version. I don't understand why only the Vita version would have a demo. I'm glad to see it, though. I have been on the fence about getting it for Vita so now I can make a more informed decision.

FYI, The few reviews I have seen on it have been fairly positive indicating it is fun, but not quite as good as the Xbox Trials games.

Thanks, but I don't care that much to go through the hassle. Plus, I never download the retail games and they seem to be more focused on that.

The one thing I would want from that list is Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, but it isn't something I would rush out to buy, obviously. I'm sure there will tons of complaining about Mass Effect 3, even though it's be available for very cheap. People will also probably complain about DOA, even though they complain about fighting games.

I think you could definitely enjoy it. Obviously, having played the first two will greatly enhance the experience more than it would playing the 3rd game in a lot of other series.

If that metal gear hd collection is vita only I am not renewing my ps+. Since christmas I haven't really gotten anything worthwhile that I didn't have already. Really angry that they keep releasing awesome games, but only a vita version. How about a free vita game AND a free ps3 game ffs.

Sorry if I sound so upset. It just seems like all the good deals came before I got ps+ and everything I"ve gotten so far has been meh.

i got by doing ME2 then 3 because 2 (on the ps3) had a backstory comic.
i felt fine doing that.

but 3 without 1 or 2... yea, i just don't see it making any sense, and i think the lack of emotional attachment to some of the npcs (that used to be controlled by you in previous games) will -severely- impact the game.

huh? they generally follow the same pattern every month in the US -- ps3 games, then vita towards the end of the month. they haven't lessened the number of ps3 games that we get that i've noticed, just added vita into the cycle.

Agreed. I don't understand how anyone could recommend playing ME3 in good conscious without having at least played ME2. This is a series that, up until the last 10 minutes of its polarizing conclusion (..lol..), prided itself on a strong narrative. The multiplayer in ME3 is competent enough, but if you're not in it for the character and plot development, it seems rather pointless. That said, ME1 is still my favorite, though the gameplay is definitely all kinds of wonky. ME2 improves significantly in this area, but loses a lot of its "rpg" charm.
A sequel to Rainbow Moon was announced today. I posted info in a thread over here.

As a little plug for contest lovers here, my March Madness contest is now live.
Awesome news, that must mean that Rainbow Moon didn't do too bad. Glad to see a specific mention of it coming to 'handhelds' too.
Well we finally got Vanquish! So we've got that going for us, which is nice. Hopefully they keep giving at least one good game a month. They've got some catching up to do imo.
We've definitely received more than 1 good game this month here in the US.

MGS HD is the only game(s) I've been playing the past month on my Vita.

I tried starting with MGS1, but it's aged so badly it wasn't worth it. MGS2 is ridiculously cutscene heavy and at the end, the story introduces so many asinine twists and turns, it's insulting to any player who was trying to keep up with the already convoluted plotline. There's some other camera, technical, and gameplay issues as well, but it's not the worst game. At this point though, even if you're able to play it on the go, I don't see how anyone who's not a massive MGS fan call it anything but decent.

MGS3 is fun(ner) so far. I wish it controlled like PW and MGS3D does, but it looks pretty great on the Vita.
