FYI, it says that Megaman X Maverick Hunter is only available for free for PlayStation Plus owners now. Damn it, I wanted some free Capcom love on my PSP Go!
Because I want to buy a few vita games from the current week's sale using the 50% PS+ discount. They should be good until Tuesday afternoon when PSN usually gets updated so I would activate PS+ and buy them on Tuesday morning.

Basically I'm just trying to increase my potential "weeks of deals" by 1 to maximize the chances of something I want coming up as a PS+ discount.
Aren't the one month codes 30 days long?
Aren't the one month codes 30 days long?
and 4 weeks is 28 days.....so you should have a day before new deals and a day after new deals, right?
If your plus ends while you are playing a game will it kick you out of the game or just when you quit? My plus ends tomorrow and I want to finish bioshock 2.
I'm guessing it kicks you out immediately. I got kicked out of Ratchet and Clank All 4 One in the middle of a game (it warned me that content was about to expire first) erroneously. My plus wasn't up, and I had played it for several hours already so I know it wasn't the one hour demo thing. Next day I turned it back on and it worked fine. It was very weird.
Not sure if anyone would be able to answer this, but do PS+ subscriptions expire at midnight on their last day? I have a 1-month code and I'm thinking of using it Tuesday morning to take advantage of a few of the vita PS+ discounts before the store gets updated.

Fast forward 30 days I think it lands on another Tuesday, so if the subscription runs out at 12 midnight, would I theoretically be able to take advantage of any new PS+ discounts announced for that upcoming week starting after the store updates?
Check the information for a PS+ game and it'll tell you the specific time of the day that your sub ends. It should end at the same time that you start it.

Whats wierd about plus it the expire datetime is set on the game when you download it its not a system wide setting so say download a game and plus it set to expire next week then you add a year of plus games you all ready downloaded will still expire next week. If you redownload (via history) them the date is reset . Kinda stupid if you ask me should be a system wide setting.

Whats all so weird is when you add a session of plus it MOVEs all the plus downloaded titles up in you download history to the new subscribe date.

Now? It's always been Plus only. That's how free games work, aside from these:

How do you expect Sony to resolve it? You got to download something / patch something and it's impossible for them to know what, if anything you still have on the harddrive.

All that stuff is tied to plus, so rebuying counts as buying that stuff again. Though I always found it odd that they get listed in a new order.

I was just trying to explain to backlash how it worked. I dont know how sony would fix it. Maybe a licence update tool or a check psn for new plus date on launch if conneted? Its just a wierd design and you cant rebuy they stuff again for free cause some is no longer free you have to go to your download history.

FYI, my LittleBigPlanet 2 had an expiration date of around Feb 26, 2013. I noticed this on March 3rd or so, after having already reupped my PS+ sub. So rather than redownloading the game, I just attempted to play it again. It let me start it and get to my pod, at which point I quit the game and checked the expiration date again. It had updated to May 31st, 2014.

Wish I had tried that on Darksiders and Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition rather than just assuming I had to redownload them because of what I read here.

Cool then it sounds like its been fixed that did not used to work. :D
That was my first thought too, but they are all bubbles (you know, how not-yet-installed games show up), and it doesn't seem to allow bubbles to be placed into albums. So now I have a bunch of bubbles between the game disc menu option and my downloaded game albums, heh.
if i recall correctly, there is a limit to the number of uninstalled games you can have on your ps3. i think it's either 10 or 20... 20 sounds right.

but you don't really need 20 uninstalled psp games on your ps3 just to get them on your psp -- as long as you know an hour or two before you need them, just download as you need it. or... can't you just download directly to your psp when you're ready for it?

Just tried the demo of BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. I definitely recommend it if anyone was thinking about getting it.

jumping on it the minute it's out on vita.

i can't see myself playing it on the couch for long stretches, but it would be perfect for bursts of portable play. solid evolution of the series.

Sweet, I just passed the $50 point with the Vita sale and last week's award sales. Now I don't have to worry about having to spend more to reach that mark.

Yeah, the HD love it got is tempting (beat the first on wii), but I'm still trying to hold out for the vita version.

Knytt or Dokuro....Knytt or Dokuro. Can't decide. Wasn't even considering Knytt before some of the glowing reviews here.

I got it for the PS3 and definitely getting it for the vita too.

I've been playing all day trying to get perfect runs, man is it challenging but very rewarding at the same time.

I want Dokuro but there's no demo... It looks like a charming puzzler.
The reviews and play videos make it look fun, but are the controls solid and intuitive?

I want to believe...

I see Bit.Trip has no asterisk...does this mean it's a multi-week sale? Probably won't get to try the demo until later next week, so I hope I have time to decide about buying it.

Just bought it its a very clever simple puzzle game with emphasis on not only navigating room but making it safe for your escort

Dokuro shouldn't be missed if you own a Vita. The PS+ price is crazy cheap and controls are very solid.
Knytt or Dokuro....Knytt or Dokuro. Can't decide. Wasn't even considering Knytt before some of the glowing reviews here.
Both, but since I haven't completed Knytt, I'd suggest if you're only getting one, go with Dokuro.

Wound up pulling the trigger. Will get into the nitty-gritty of it tomorrow.

Takes me up to $86.49 spent, have a feeling I'll be getting at least $20 back for march :D

So far I have bought SFxT and Sine Mora. Both have been good purchases. I bought Big Sky Infinity and Knytt last month and they are both good games. Big Sky is sort of a hardcore space shooter though.

I only have $26 until I reach 50. Renewing your PS+ on PSN also counts towards the $50 too.
Following up on my own thought here, but does anyone know if the code that comes with SF X T retail package expires? Since getting the 12 characters as DLC is a big motivation for me in this deal, that would factor in for me whether I should get this in the sale or wait for the retail cart to drop.
You should get it digially. You'll get the additional characters via download for the PS3 as well as 38 alternate outfits(Not swap) for the original cast. The 12 characters are already playable in the vita game.

I tried Sine Mora on a higher difficulty tonight and wet my pants. How will I fare in Big Sky Infinity?

I can only speak from the Big Sky demo, but the only reason I found it challenging was because I couldn't see what was hitting me. Too much was going on, and it seemed like a lot of the projectiles were blending with the backgrounds.

I think it's a sale that lasts for three weeks, so rest assured, MrBonk, there will definitely be new sales next week.

so i've been avoiding big sky in large part because of the negative reviews here, but is there anyone here that loves it? i love dual stick shooters, and i don't mind if they're super intense. and i can't tell if people aren't liking it because it's hard, or just bad. any more feedback?

What does everyone think of Sumioni: Demon Arts? I was thinking of possibly purchasing that, Sine Mora, Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend, and Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7. I would purchase Dokuro and Knytt Underground, but bought Dokuro when the price dropped to $9.99 and I got Knytt Underground the last time it was on sale.

I enjoyed it when I tried it out for a livestream a few weeks ago. It's a neat mix of randomly-generated, shmup-style levels and dual-stick shooter controls that emphasize not shooting every single second. There are also a bunch of different modes that changes up the formula with limited lives, perks, and other things that makes it hard early on with the way the upgrade system works for your abilities. If you're into games that push you to get better, this might be a game for you.

I have put some hours into big sky infinity (playing on the ps3 entirely, haven't touched the vita version so take it as you will) and have all but 2-3 of the trophies.

The issues with projectiles blending into the background you mostly get used to. There are cascade and blackhole events that change the color of the screen to the point of making asteroids and lasers very difficult to see or completed blended until you hit them. Some of the randomness of it every once in a long while puts you into a situation where death is almost unavoidable. I find a common complaint for people who have even put several hours into it is that they get frustrated because they aren't exactly sure why they died.

As you level up in classic mode by collecting starbits the game gets increasingly harder to match and from what i have read from most people and my own experience makes it that much more difficult to see the various bosses in one run (you can see multiples of the same boss in one run like seeing 3 of the same and none of the others). The better you are doing in the game the difficulty scales with you. There are multiple modes that you unlock but the differences aren't huge (there's a mode where you can't use your weapon and have to only dodge, you can only earn upgrades in classic but the rest of the modes you can pick perks that it randomly lets you choose between 1-3 of them). They did release a patch that made ranking up faster and added a few things in

I liked it for a few bucks but I felt it was going to be more fun as I upgraded my ship as you start out kind of weak purposely, I get way higher scores now but it is much less fun. The way the difficulty scales it just puts me in the more annoying sections (they are a bit more difficult but I think they are more annoying than anything) far more often. The narrator really grates on you fast but luckily you turn that off. There is a shield upgrade but there is no "shield bar" to know how much it depletes and regenerates and you just kind of have to base it on noise and how glowy your ship is for your level of upgrading

ok, wow, thanks for the vid frisk and the long review Noblesse. Sounds like i might actually enjoy the game. i have plus so it's under 5... but it was free on eu+ so i hope i don't get burnt next month, lol. but i don't mind supporting this genre on the vita.

I tried Bigbig sky before it went on sale and was disappointed. First, the announcer is the WORST I have ever heard in a game. Hes corny, lame, and unfunny. Luckliy you can turn him off.

The game (as mentioned before) is made harder because you cant see what is hitting you. I've died countless times and always felt like there was nothing near me. Some times white bullets kill you, other times they are part of the backround. Starbits (the collectible things) look like bullets, and the "hyperspace" portions are just chaos.

I'm not a fan of bullet hell games, i thought this was more like Super Stardust before I got it, but it just isnt fun to me.
Man I'm digging Vanquish big time :D . It is an underrated gem
I tried it out for the first time last night. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would and wonder why it hasn't gotten more discussion. I planned on playing it for 10 minutes before bed to see what it was like and went to bed three hours later.

The only downside of the game is it is a little heavy on the cutscenes. At the same time, at least they are entertaining cutscenes, and seem to be used in place of a loading screen to get you to the next level, so you never really feel like you're loading the next level.

If I "buy" one of the PS Vita games that are free and then let my PS+ membership run out, can I still play the games I bought?
