I'm still debating how to spend $50 on psn, but I'm going to pick up some psn credit with doa5+ on Tuesday, so I think it's gonna be GGXXAC (15), Darkstalkers (15), Nikoli's Sudoku (5), Sound Shapes (2), and then I have to plan after that.

No MVP here, but whatever.

(been downed with the flu, plus just came back from a vacation, so I haven't touched any of my games recently, and my backlog is blowing up...)
If it's anything like the 3DS version, that Sudoku game is probably bad. That version had bad controls and only 50 puzzles despite the description making it seem like it might have had a random puzzle generator mode. If it's on there, get the PS Mini Sudoku game by EA, which features good controls and nearly infinite puzzles.

Anyone else having issues adding funds to their wallet? I just bought a $20 PSN code at Best Buy and while it is recognized after I punch it in it won't allow me to add the funds to my wallet when I click yes.

I bought and entered a $10 code from BB this afternoon and had no issues whatsoever.

I imported the Nikoli game with 12 puzzles for Vita, it's fine. I spent most of my plane ride on Sudoku actually. I know I'll like it (but possibly not the 24 hour trophy if it's the same as the JP one).
You should never read the PS Blog comments.
yes - too many complaints and stupid people there

ummm, you still need to have the ratchet ffa disk to get the vita version and deadlocked.
i dont want people to think they can just buy/resell game or rent it and get games for free. it's like ps allstars. there is a 'disc benefits' option on the main screen and you need to click that to get the vita/deadlocked i bet. i bought my copy of ffa for $16 from gamefly ($11 with $5 coupon) but yeah, disc benefits on disc... so you do need disc probly be 99% sure.

While true, I doubt anyone expected to get FFA Vita / Deadlocked via osmosis.

That's basically how PSN owners will get it.

it just seemed like some people thought they could buy the game and then maybe flip/sell it and it would magically appear. lol. i just didnt want anyone to get burned if they tried that. peace to all cags.

n yeah osmosis is awesome

to be honest, iv got the ffa copy from gamefly and just waiting for vita/deadlocked to be released so i can trade it in ;) lots of people werent into deadlocked, but i really liked all the customizations/etc so i really want that.

I'm hoping with the release of Bioshock Infinite at the end of the month that they'll put out a Bioshock-related sale on DLC. I've been wanting to pick up Minerva's Den.

for those interested, i did some research on carnage hearts exa. i found most info on the original carnage hearts (over 15 years old)... but it looks like a deep mech-based strategy game where you essentially 'program' your mechs in how to act in battle. i'm not sure of the details beyond that, other than it got meh reviews from mainstream media but seems to have a extremely dedicated fan base that loves it.

i also found a not-very-informative review of a japanese psp demo... so since we're not getting a demo (at least not yet) perhaps someone who can read japanese and likes strat games can check it out?

anyway, if anyone has any more info on this new 'exa' version for psp/vita, please let us know!

So I noticed the Borderlands 2 recommends buying the season pass from within the game, but I assume it still counts towards the $50/ I am debating whether to get it or not. I love BL2, but dangs dunno if I should jump on it, especially after just getting plus and Skyrim's DLC :D

The BL 2 season pass is almost insultingly bad...

The first pack was made the same team that worked on Duke Nukem Forever (many people were from the original company) and was a train wreck. The DLC can be completed in about an hour and a half, which isn't much. One of the new characters is among the least liked characters in ALL of Borderlands (long story, but many agree) and the other one isn't much better. The DLC then caps off with 2 raid bosses, which were highly disliked. The first one because he didn't really do anything and would spam Nova damage. The other one is the infamous Master Gee, who required you to kill worms to even damage him and is filled with far too many ways to lose.

The second pack was made by the people who did Sorcery and was a little better. Torgue was an amusing character, which worked well with Moxxi / Tina, but the DLC didn't have much lasting appeal. Like the new gear had less practical uses than the first pack and torgue tokens are really only useful for buying the exclusive head or the Nukem. This is probably the best DLC, but not enough to save the game.

The third pack stars Hammerlock (ew!) and is made by the DNF people again. This campaign has 3 chapters and relies HEAVILY on the awesomeness of Jack / Claptrap to make it redeeming. The new raid boss combined the two elements people hated about the first pack into a single boss, but unlike them he doesn't have a lot of life. This time around most of the new gear is found via bosses, which means you get the joy of farming them for things. They also added a "secret" raid boss that requires a little under 100 eridum to summon. This fight is pretty anticlimactic, but at least fair when compared to their other bosses.

In all and all, the three DLC packs are extremely short and help a fringe minority. Gearbox has already implied the next pack will also be outsourced, so I wouldn't put much faith in them. Even if you think I am being overly cynical because thats what type of person I am, keep in mind that each DLC has been doing worse in terms of reviews.

There should be a post on the PS Blog on Monday or Tuesday.

I completely agree. Even though, I only payed $20 for the season pass (PC), I regret it. The content thus far has not come close to value of the last few DLC for BL1. I have logged 150 hours in the main game, but the first 2 DLC were "one and done" for me. I have yet to even try Sir Hammerlock's, and I have barely touched the game since finishing Torgue's. Rumors are that Gearbox is planning a second season. I'm going to feel ripped off if they save the good stuff for the 2nd season.

I loved gearbox until the lied nonstop and felt like i was conned. Aliens fiasco made me hate them for life... BL2 dlc not bad but short. The halved inv/bank slots compared to 1st game pissed me off. The game breaking bugs for months ruined bl2... My friends sold fast and wont buy/rent again. gearbox is the new devil imo...

Holy cow :whistle2:# Well I guess buying that $20 psn card is not going to be used towards the DLC then. Crap now I feel I should have gotten FC3 with the $15 BB certificate I had, but oh well. Man it sucks to hear all this, I have logged at least 100 hours in this game with the main campaign/side quests and I am still having a blast. I heard the DLC wasn't that great, but I was thinking of giving it a shot. Well if a 2nd season is coming out, might as well wait for that one. Now I'm only $10 down (Skyrim DLC) towards the $50

I think it was Killzone 3 if I am not mistaken. It was more than one year ago though.

There short but i think there good. I just hear people moaning over the raid bosses. I enjoyed every one of them. It is so hard to please people these days. The raid bosses suck but getting to them is fun. I did not listen to the hate and enjoyed my adv. Grinding raid bosses is why all the hate really.

I have an alternate opinion on the DLC for Borderlands 2. I think it's pretty fun and others I have played with or talk to seem to feel the same way. I don't pay attention to trophies and length of play time, but just look for basic enjoyment. The DLC seems as good or better than the main campaign of many other games. If you love Borderlands 2, I don't see how you can go too wrong getting DLC for it.

anything authenticated on your ps3 across any of your 16 allowed accounts should work for all accounts on said ps3. this includes dlc.

obviously, vita/psp work differently. (which stinks for those of us who bought psp or ps1 content on different accounts, but is also understandable)

Spec Ops: The Line rocked your Instant Game Collection at the start of March, and Joe Danger 2: The Movie rode in last week. This week, you’ll find The Cave, as well as Tekken 6 available free for PlayStation Plus members. You’ll also find deals on fantastic games like Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, among others.

Don’t forget that the Get $10 For Every $50 Spent promotion is still on, but ending at the end of March. That means if you purchased a 1 year PS Plus membership at $49.99, you’re already set to get $10 back on or around April 12th. We’ll cover you on that extra penny. And yes, it’s stackable.

I still need spend $20 for the $10 back. Looks like a good time to pick up Rocket Birds on the Vita. I'm glad The Cave is being added to the IGC. The game looks interesting so I'll check it out.

Is Rocketbirds cross-save? Also, I recall there was some bonus if you purchased the Vita version and already owned the PS3 version. So if I get both, should I structure my purchase a certain way to take advantage or is that bonus even still available?

No, there's no Cross Save support. There are special co-op DLC for those that grabbed the PS3 demo or bought the PS3 version that have been listed in the OP for the past few weeks:

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken - HBC Agent-H Budgie Pack - Free for Owners of PS3 Games
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken - HBC Sniper Budgie Pack - Free for Owners of PS3 Demo

There is a platinum for the Vita version like the PS3 version.

Thanks! I'm glad I waited on this one 'til now (tomorrow).
Awesome, thanks. Has anyone gotten the Dishonored, Assassin's Creed III or Dead Space 3 DLCs? Are they worth it?
I have not played the AC 3 or Dishonored DLC but the Dead Space 3 DLC was great in my personal opinion. It takes place after the end of 3 and you continue on as Isaac and Carter, much better than Severed for Dead Space 2. Too me the only gripe is that it only adds about 2 hours of gameplay but I was still happy with my purchase.
I don't understand. If you don't spend $20, you'll have $20 but you say you still want to spend $20 to get $10 back?
But he'll have $10 plus a game he wants. Vs buying the game later and not getting any money back.
Damn so no Neptune Victory PSN release (well concerning this week as it may release later like the last one did)?
Neptunia releases on Thursday or Friday, so that might be why.

There are plenty of things I can buy to reach the promo. I'm just saying when a game goes on sale I want it makes me that much easier to buy. I planned on spending $50 this month.
Oh you planned on it, got ya. When you said need it sounded like you might be struggling to find stuff. Just curious.
I'm just seeing what goes on sale then the last week get what I need. Picking up some Zen Pinball 2 tables will be some good cheap items.
