Looking at getting Nex Machina - I recently played Dead Nation (Vita) and Assault Android Cactus and I liked both of those, so I'm assuming I would like this game then?

That's fair enough, but I think it's great that Sony is back to giving full great games after giving a lot of fluff for a year or so. Infamous, Little big planet, until dawn, child of light, Just cause 3, etc. Solid lineup recently

So now that Redout is out, has anyone tried it and can confirm whether or not it has PSVR support? I remember when the title was first announced, the dev stated they were making the game because they wanted a "VR WipEout style racer" and since Sony wouldn't do it, they'd do it themselves.  So it would suck if only the PC version got VR support.

Also, did WhiteDay release a month early? Both Amazon and Bestbuy have it listed with a Sept. 28 release date...

I feel hopeless.

I do like the the 5 minute rule for some games, in that I play them for 5 minutes and decide if I want to keep playing....since my backlog is massive. I have gotten rid of many bad indie games this way, since they were just bad in that short time. This obviously doesn't work for some games, as they're slow as heck like RPGs, but it may show that the story or characters seem weak.

I haven't bought it because I was waiting for PS+. I also owned a PS4 close to launch.

Both previous games were free from Sony and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Now I can finally enjoy Second Son.

I do that for indies as well. I tried that with Abzu from PS+ and I immediately lost interest.

Is there any degradation of quality or other issues using a switcher? I knew about switchers but never thought there might be auto-switchers. I currently only have a PS4 and AppleTV [bleh] hooked up to the tv, but... this sounds great.

EDIT:

Are there any issues with it? Like, what happens if you leave your PS4 running [so there is output], then use the remote on the Apple TV to start a movie. If a game is 'running', or the background of the PS4 is dynamic, does it cause issues? Would I need to fully 'rest' my PS4?

I haven't noticed any degradation of quality, signal delay, audio issue, etc. All devices play correctly through this switcher (and probably any other switcher on Amazon with lots of positive reviews).

If the PS4 is running and then you turn on your Apple TV, it will auto switch to the Apple TV as it is the newest signal. While the Apple TV is displayed on TV, the PS4 will continue running as if its output is still being displayed, so you better pause before turning on something else. When you turn off your Apple TV, it will switch back to displaying the PS4.

There is no need to rest your PS4 during a switch. It just keeps running like normal.

Looking at it. Didn't know there was a physical copy, but its like $31 and change at Best Buy. Seems like a $20 game IMO but I might snag it down the line.

Bonuses were the 20th anniversary course (I believe an updated course from hot shots 1) and some cosmetic stuff. I really just want the course. And looking at the support forums on best buy, looks like several people, if not everyone, got the full game code.

In regards to the carts, you can drive around the course. I think you don't even need to go straight to the next hole. So it's probably cosmetic in regards to the cart. Unless they're racing, which I didn't read about.

Of course Aksys only puts the standalone Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 on sale, and leaves the upgrade at regular price. I bet the standalone ends up dipping under $20 before the upgrade ever goes on sale and I end up having to buy it that way.

Nex Machina is more like Robotron 2064 than anything else. I've enjoyed evert Housemarque game I've played so far, and NM is as good as any of their other games.

Nex Machina is highly recommended for those wanting a great dual-stick shooter that is the best of Housemarque's work in a Robotron mold.

I bought it, I've put a few hours into it, I'd say it's not worth a purchase period. Everything about it is subpar to me.

Overwatch 2.18 update was 16.67 GB so i just deleted the entire game. Went to library and started to download full game from scratch, 13 GB total. Ummm... ok.

Another funny thing about OW is that the upcoming mercy nerf will affect trophies. There is a trophy for 5-person res that will be unobtainable for the plat after she is nerfed. I haven't unlocked it yet and doubt i will in time (

Also noticed that the Tekken 7 1.05 update improves the resolution of o.g. ps4, bringing it up to the pro's 1080p. Tekken bowl and costume dlc unlocks Aug. 31.
