To anyone else who needed to look for what's going to be free like I did, here's the alleged game list:

• Knack (PS4)
• RiME (PS4)
• StarBlood Arena (PS Plus bonus – PS VR required)
• Spelunker HD (PS3)
• Mugen Souls Z (PS3)
• Exiles End (PS Vita)
• Grand Kingdom (PS Vita & PS4)

Spelunker HD is great. I highly recommend that game if you're into difficult, old-school NES-style platformers. Amazing music too. Way better than the recent free to play PS4 game.

I'd also stay far away from Mugen Souls Z since I played a few hours of the first game and it was really bad.

I've already played Knack, but I'm interested in the other three. Pretty rare for me to download 3 PS+ games in a month, so I'm happy with that list.

Nothing alleged about it, always check the PlayStation blog (article) and previous discussion.

Ooo, Spelunker HD online should get a little boost then, maybe I'll try playing that game again.

Exiles End looks pretty cool too.

Havent bought a new madden game in years. Because of its story mode (however weak it may be) this is the first game in a while to interest me. $17 seems like an no brainer in my case right? Unless there's something majorly wrong with it that someone wants to clue me in on.

Madden 18 is great. It gets a bad wrap because, Madden. If it's been a few years since you've played one you it should be even more impressive IMO. No-brainer at the current price if you enjoy football in the least.

So apparently the latest rumor is that you get Far Cry 4 free if you sign up for a new PS+ sub for 12 months? I already have the game but kind of sucks for people that already are subscribers if it is true.

May just be an EU offer.
Not a rumor, it's an EU deal. I also saw it on a NZ account I have. Fifa 18 appeared to be another option in the NZ banner promoting it.

I checked around and all I could find was it announced on the UK ps4 blog/news. Also mentioned the catch was you could not have an active plus membership. Mine runs out next month I think so that would have been a good deal but I don't think the states has the offer and I don't feel like letting mine run out just for the game

To all those who bought Knack/Rime recently, thank you! You are the real heroes. Your continued support for the developers is helping us procrastinators (read, cheap asses) in getting the game(s) for free.

Keep doing the good work.

I know you pay for PS+ subscription; so in reality, its not free, its "free". I also know its not free game, its a free rental for the duration of PS+ subscription.

Valid comments - fuck off. :D

Damn and I just bought Rime during the 5 weeks of sales too. Got it for $14.39 or $14.79 by using the 20% off coupon at the time. Just started playing it a few days ago and its a really good game, so no regrets and glad others will get a chance to play it. The game has a very relaxing atmosphere and the soundtrack is really great. It does a good job of getting you into the world of the game.

Have no interest in Knack, but will d/l Grand Kingdom.

We're CAGs man, gotta look out for each other. Picked up Knack during the flash sale for $5 and not even mad about being free in Feb. In other news I'll be downloading Rime, Spelunker HD, and Grand Kingdom. Rare form to go for three PS+ games in one month. The backlog growth continues!

Its been said before and I'll say it again, if you buy a game for the price you're willing to pay for it there is no real room to be in an uproar when its +.

Yeah it sucks, I'm a CAG as well, and we all want games we don't already have but this has been going on for how long, like 8 years? I'm surprised at people's ability to continue to be enraged on the monthly.

It's just a natural reaction. You paid for a product thats market value is now essentially 0. The same feeling as buying a game for $60 that immediately drops to $40. Or even worse, goes F2P. Many people are already on the fence about pulling the trigger, so when this happens they have that knee-jerk angry response.

What people forget is that at least in PS+ case, it's only free for a limited time (1 month) and after that it's guaranteed to never be free again. So while you did spend some money that you didn't have to, it's not like the value of what you paid is completely lost. This rings even more true for a game only owned physically. While you might feel robbed of receiving a new game that you didn't already own, at least you can sell the physical version to make back it's current market value.

While the original games were brutal and required precision reflexes and pattern memorization, with having to start over or at the midlevel checkpoint with every death. Dimensions gives you more options, including the ability to respawn where you left off. You can basically blow through the two games, but it tracks your stats, such as the number of times you died, giving incentive to replay. It was a Plus game not long ago, but definitely worth the $3.00.
I'll give it a go.

Already have Grand Kingdom (PS4) and Knack but excited to play Rime. Also excited to play Grand Kingdom on PS Vita because the PS4 disc is still sitting unopened (naturally) on my shelf.

Damn that's a fantastic lineup for February. I considered buying Rime a few times when it was deeply discounted on PCDD, but just had too much else on my list. Those are exactly the kind of games I like seeing on PS+, stuff I know I'll enjoy but might never get around to buying myself.

The market value of a digital download game is $0.

An unused code for a digital download might have market value, but the minute you activate it, it loses all market value.

The market value of a steak can be $60, but once you eat it, its market value quite quickly turns to $0 (have at it with the jokes).

Digital download games are meant to be consumed for personal, subjective entertainment value. If what you want is products that retain some market value, you need to buy physical.

Knack finally free for Plus. At last, the prophecy has come true.

Can't believe they'd put a game like Mugen Souls Z in the collection, though. There's going to be some funny reactions to that one, I'm sure.

That's why I drink Goldschlager. It comes out a penny dollar.

Brb, buying a bunch of games on the PSN store for $0.

No one is talking about resale value.

Amazingly I bought Knack like 2 years ago despite all the talk of it for sure being PS plus, and then only started playing it like a week ago :( The universe can be a funny place sometimes
I only heard about Knack last week during the flash sale when some wiseacre called me out for never hearing about it before. Of course I bought it for $5 and then a week later it’s free. The only thing I take comfort in is that I probably won’t end up playing it anytime soon anyway.

Rime, on the other hand, is one I held out on (for cheapish reasons) and will probably play next month. I don’t know anything about it past the description, but it kind of sounds like Never Alone, yeah? I’ll probably play that one next month, too. I like to group my games by theme.

Now for something completely different....Knack was the game that everyone "knew" would be PS+ eventually.

So what game are we now waiting on forever?
