Buuuuut it's 99 cents so it doesn't matter if it sucks. I once bought a turd burger for 99 cents. It tasted like shit, but it spent less than $1 on it so it was the greatest thing I've ever eaten.
 
Maybe I've just had ps+ longer than most, but I figured someone would have mentioned that a lot of these games were free near the beginning of ps+, like spyros, crashs, Sam and max...

I have yet to play JP unfortunately, which makes it going on sale right after I bought it even more frustrating. I liked BTTF. It is more of a real point and click adventure style game than the more recent TellTale games are.

I am buying a few things from this sale, but I agree, the EU one was much better overall. This one is bringing out the CAGs though with the really low prices.

Well, they were made almost 25 years ago. Gaming has changed, humor has changed, but it doesn't mean it doesn't have its own merits. Playing any games that are even 5 years old, much less a quarter century old does require a certain acknowledgment to the era in which it was crafted, not only in terms of pop culture and references, but the medium itself and what tools the creators had available to bring their vision to their audience.

I believe the series has always had more of a silly style of humor with pirate puns, the insult sword fighting, and the 4th wall-breaking in-jokes, so I'm not sure what sort of humor you were expecting to get this upset at whatever you watched. They're pirate adventure games that don't take the pirate part of it that seriously.

I don't read complaints typed in all Caps.  And seeing as the NA gets screwed quite often I don't understand why PSN doesn't give everyone the same thing.. but then.. someone else would complain.  Of course, I'd just like something to do on my paperweight.. I mean PS4.

I know that's what the series is aiming for, I'm just saying it's not for me. I first played the series back when they put it on PS2 (I've never been much of a PC gamer) and I didn't think it was funny back then either. I watched a few trailers, let's play vids when the sale popped up just to make sure I wasn't interested. I wasn't really expecting anything different from what I saw, just covering my ass so I don't have any regrets when this sale is over.

Haha...I did the same. Have a bag of Sour Patch Kids Berries sitting next to me. Gave the first level a go last night, and I loved it, btw. Sort of standard platforming with a Pikmin-meets-Locoroco-meets-Kirby-Mass-Attack twist and a bit of a twisted sense of humor (totally not a kiddie game, btw...a bit of a Naughty Bear vibe going on...even the main menu starts out with a sadistic sour patch kid knifing...lol).

Pretty easy game to overlook on that list of 30 games, but I'd say it's totally worth it.

 
Does anyone know if you buy the Back to the Future can you get the platinum or does it give you 5 episodes?  I ask because  I got it on disc but for a dollar why not double dip and get another playthrough.

Yeah they were, but some new playstation 3 users, like myself, find them a great deal to play old classics again.

The disc has the platinum, the download does not. I am not sure if you can get double the other trophies or not.

 
Decent Flash Sale, I'm really hoping for a Bioware sale soon (Dragon Age & Mass Effect games plus DLC). Also great news that Ys and Persona 4 could make it to a ps+ sale. Even better if they become part of the IGC

Roguelike gets used too often. But in the modern, not-very-correct usage... it's sort of a roguelike. The map and related areas are all constant, but enemies and effects (weather, etc) are different per game.

It has an extremely interesting version of permadeath -- over the course of gameplay, as you mate and produce offspring, you gain bonuses for your species. These bonuses are kept from game to game. So are any bonus giving outfits you find. My 'big cat' is a freaking beast now.

But I still wish 'roguelike' was left to games like nethack, tome, stone soup, adventure bar labyrinth, etc. and we had a different term for games that just have randomly generated content or permadeath options.

The 'campaign' is essentially a tutorial, I'm not surprised you got bored by it. The real game is playing different species (from little cats, to pomeranians, to deer, to tigers and more in the non-campaign version.

Campaign - different mini-missions forcing you to try new things as different species, a tiny touch of plot to pull it all together. I forced myself through it for the trophies.

Actual game - amazing, one of my favorite of the generation.

As for the clunky -- it only feels clunky at first. The gameplay is actually really, really solid. Hunting prey, fighting, etc really require solid understanding of the controls.... but once you get it down, it plays great. This also varies wildly based on whether you're a predator or not, of course.

I heard from GAF that all Bioware games will be on sale next month sometime to coincide with a big announcement about the next Mass Effect game. And then they'll have more on that game at ETres.

Sorry if it's been asked, but isn't Gotham City Imposters server shutting down at the end of May this year? I'd rather play it on PS3 than Steam since we can use the controller. I know it's only 99 cents, but I am sure I won't even get to it for a while.

Yes, due to the GameSpy shutdown. Dungeon Defenders will also be affected and that was a nice game.

 
Having never played Trials, I liked UTF.  I knew it was janky and budget, but it was an addictive sort of janky.   I'd played the demo and bought it last sale for 7 bucks or so.  100% was a headache, but the main game isn't. 

But I also find a place in my heart for other 'budget' feeling games like Asphalt.   Do I prefer NFS style gloss? Of course.  But it doesn't make Asphalt or UTF less fun for me.

Telltale games has really soured me with it's buggy versions, however.   I'm hesitant to buy anything from them after TWD and Poker inventory, even though I like old school point and clicks like Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, etc.

 
Picked up 10 games, all the spyro and Crash games and a few of the tell tale games. I might have picked up Crash Commando but it comes up as unavailable. I think that error must be happening for people who have previously downloaded the demo (as I have done) as someone else in this thread mentioned they were able to purchase it.
