The list hasn't been updated constantly which is the only reason why I asked. As we've all seen, the Vita isn't at the top of Sony's list, so I'm not surprised. But I'm sure there's a CAG out there who's tried to play them on the PSTV.
 
Rocket League's Rumble mode is awesome. It's like the experience of being at the front of a Mario Kart race, where there are power-up attacks coming at you regularly, but in the form of a Rocket League match. Power-ups are dealt out randomly after a 10 second cooldown, so everybody is constantly getting new power-ups that makes it a chaotic mess that is a lot of fun to play.

This is good news :) Also, Best buy has overwatch on sale for 49.99/39.99 after GCU starting this Sunday. If you solely use the 20% coupon on Overwatch, it comes out to roughly the same price as buying it at BB with GCU. Now to decide between physical or digital...

 
So I just got the platinum trophy for No Man's Sky and in the process learned a new definition of insanity. "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting fun to be had" I didn't even make it to the center of the universe yet and I don't really care at this point.

i still have to do the life span, ships destroyed and uploaded discoveries ones. i was trying to wrap up the discoveries ones but every planet id go to i would find all the animals but one, bleh. havent even played it for over a week now, if anyone gave a decent trade in value id probably just dump it.

 
Over on the Xbox thread it is reported that digital XCOM 2 pre-orders are now playable. I of course changed my mind and am getting it on the PS4 once I experienced the beauty of remote play. I have been waiting on a good deal on psn credit however. Anyone here have it pre-ordered and can play it?

The trick to the zoology trophy is to find a planet that lists fauna as none. Since there are no animals to catalogue it lets you upload it and it still counts. Best bet is to find moons as they usually don't have life on them.

I'm not a 'trophy hunter', really, or at least I don't buy games with easy trophies or 'show off' my trophies [i think they're private].

I do get gaming 'ocd' though, and if at the beginning I like a game I go for the trophies because it feels good to 'master' a game I like. But then sometimes [usually] I get bored of the game, or whatever, but have already invested so much time into the trophies I already got that it feels wrong to just drop the game. So then I drop another 30 hours into some stupid grind trophy just to feel like I 'beat' it.

i think they patched that out, ive been on a couple planets with no fauna and there is nothing listed on that upload page. I know that worked earlier as I did it for a couple planets, but I havent been able to do it lately.

Theyve actually fixed that in one of the recent patches. So you HAVE to find a planet with animals for it to count.

Luckily I had about 8 prior to the patch, so fortunately it wasnt awful.

That sucks, I didn't realize they patched it. When I look at the update notes it just says "bugs fixed". I do appreciate when the devs leave actual update notes.

One Way Heroics is way better than it has any right to be. I played a ton of it on PC and am looking forward to console release.

Hot Shots Tennis was great on PSP but I hear the PS2 version is barebones.

What makes One Way Heroics so good? I'm not that big a fan of roguelikes, but OWH seems to have far more positive reviews than a typical roguelike would have.

Have not gotten any email or message from Sony about this, and upon calling them this morning (their chat support was down again), the agent told me he knew nothing about the 20% discount being sent out this past week...was this a targeted offer? I didn't get that sense from folks talking about it on this forum. Have several items on sale this past week that I want to get with the coupon, but worry if I don't get it by tomorrow...

Is XV really a big deal after the multi-game XIII fiasco? I'm a big fan of the franchise but there's no way I'm buying until it's been thoroughly *user* reviewed. Professionals missed the mark badly last gen.

Seems to be. I think it's going to disappoint a lot of people, though.

 
After years of waiting to play Journey, I finally have thanks to ps plus.

I will admit when I first started it up, I thought it was extremely boring for like the first 20 minutes. After that first long sliding sequence I started to see why people liked it so much. Over all, I liked it, but I don't think it is as good as everyone was making it out to be.

Did you buy two games during the Play Promotion?

EDIT: To use my 20% off coupon on Overwatch or not. That is the question. Pretty tempted by the PC version, but I love me some trophies!

I am. A new world, history and characters and they always have had visuals that astound me that consoles can look quite that good. Granted I'd prefer turn based instead of all this action stuff games now use but I'll adapt.

This week looks good.  One Way Heroics has long been on my radar [own the original version on steam since it's right up my alley].    MeiQ -- can't get enough drpgs.   Pacman is always good.  And Worlds of Magic is a 4x spiritual successor to Master of Magic... it has mixed reviews on steam but most 'bad' ones talk about how it needed patching/fixes, which it seems to have gotten... so it's hard to tell. 

Every FF seems to be different, so I don't see how FXIII really matters overall.   That said, I absolutely loved the combat system in FXIII once it [finally] unlocked fully so I'm looking forward to this one, though I won't buy day 1 due to backlog.

Thanks Frisky! This is good to know that so many demos will be available on the psn. I can't wait for your psn deals on VR titles as well as coming games that I'll be able to watch in vr now . I have a pretty good collection of titles that will have vr modes patched thanks to you. I'm feeling no anxiety to purchase everything on release day with this news

PS4 FW 4.00 will be out tomorrow. They've revealed a few more new features in the update:

  • The quick menu will offer more control over Spotify without having to open the app.
  • The What's New and game content pages are also redesigned.
  • HDR support for regular PS4s.
  • 1080p Remote Play, Livestream, and Capture options for PS4 Pro along with 4K screenshots.
  • Data transfer to new PS4s via LAN.

For Sony? Sony doesn't set the price. Sony is actually doing the right thing, allowing avatar artists to set their own price. Just because one person abused the price doesn't make Sony the bad guy, they're still the good guy for letting artists put their own value on their work.

It's not like anyone has to buy it.

I had high hopes for Journey, especially after being impressed by Flower, but ended up disappointed--especially after buying it day one. I think I actually enjoyed the first 10 minutes or so best...

I did like the use of anonymous co-op though with only that one interaction button.

 
Remember to there's a very high chance this is the weekend for the September Flash Sale. I'm waiting till Friday or the weekend to decide what to buy this time around. Hopefully we get a good sale week and flash sale like last month.
