That is strange, I just got a message from PSN that they have a new build for Fatal Frame II (PS2 Classic).  It's recommended to delete the old one and download the new one.  Never had that type of messages before.

Yeah I read in the blog comments that they pulled the file off of PSN a few weeks ago due to some type of problem or glitch in the game. Anyways, the new file must be available. Cool that they'd message those who have already bought it and let them know to download the new file.

I am having downloading directly from the ps store on vita. I can purchase on the web store then download from download list. Anyone else?
pretty much everyone. known issue. should only happen if you buy then immediately download; downloading stuff already bought shouldn't be an issue. will hopefully be fixed asap, sony is certainly aware of it.

no i am talking about all 50 million ps3 consoles that they have to account for......for one thing, sony needs constant software updating and patching on the PS3 everytime a new game encounters some sort of bug and/or get hacked...
But none of that has one iota to do with the prices of games on PSN.. Prices are set by the publisher, not Sony, anyway.

The reason Steam prices tend to be lower than PSN or XBLA or wherever is because consoles are closed ecosystems with no competition on said device. Not because "sony needs constant updating" which isn't even particularly true compared to Steam.

My Cloudberry Kingdom video will be done in a little bit, so just keep an eye on this post if you want to see how it really plays early on.

I really want to play Defiance. And $10 is a awesome price. But I'll never get around to actually playing and enjoying it.

can i get some feedback on Vita PJ Monsters?

I've rainbowed the hell out of the PS3 version + DLC, but never bought the PSP version. I did ALL of my ps3 playing coop with my wife, who -loved- it. In other words, I basically know what to expect.

I know i'd be getting some new missions, but i'd lose the coop factor. And the price tag is higher than i'd like.

Worth it? Or should i wait a year for a sale? Keep in mind i'm on a serious gaming budget right now due to the upcoming release of the PS4 combined with vita's luftrausers, lone survivor, terraria, spelunky, frozen synapse mega-indy $$$fest.

It doesn't help that PJM doesn't even have a plat, dang it all. I think that would make it a no-brainer. But as it is i'm spinning in circles.
Not sure if you made your decision yet, but I was in almost the exact same position as you when PJM Deluxe first came out on PSP. Me and my wife played the shit out of it, and we still go back now and again (never did get all of the rainbows..). So I eventually bit and found that while the extra content is good, I just can't go back to single player. It has become synonymous with co op for me and was not nearly as fun without it. I'd say wait for a deep discount.

anyone know if they fixed the glitches/save corrupt issues for Persona 3 FES, I see it's still $5!
I used 8 save slots my last run through, 155 hours of gameplay, all challenges/personas/social links. Not a glitch to be had. It was in the back of my mind the whole time though - I'd just backup my save file to a usb stick before playing every couple days, just incase.

wow bidforgreatness.com. this RoughDawg4 guy! so he won both mojo items, 1200 golds each, im like wtf, and he's got over 2400 golds. holy cow. my whole trophy acquisition seems so meaningless. lol. can't believe he won 2 items an my 603ish is worthless...! and like 500 plats. that is insane. must be a frat house effort or something... and im just a solo dad and my kids arent even working for my trophies anymore, lol. (they just play sims and play outside, iv never even heard of the game outside)
Outside still has a lot of bugs. I'd wait until they patch it before buying.

Question for you all. I just got a vita a few days ago. After researching and demoing, there are three PSN games I'm interested in: sound shapes, mutants from space blobs attack, and Guacamelee. I also have $15.00 in PSN credit. Should I pull the trigger on any of those, or will there likely be a sale/ps+ freebie in the near future?

Mutant Blobs has already been on Plus, so doubt that'll be a freebie again. But the game is fantastic, so I would definitely suggest that one. Between Sound Shapes and Guacamelee, I would guess Sound Shapes would either be on sale or for free with Plus before Guacamelee would be. But that's just my opinion.

Mutant Blobs Attack was already free for PS+ but isn't any longer, so I'd say go for that one first. The chances of it coming back seem to be slim, since we almost never see repeats on PS+.

Guacamelee and Sound Shapes are both great games, but I think the odds of them hitting PS+ in the next 6 months to 1 year are probably fairly high.

Mutants Space Blobs Attack was already free on PS+. Sound Shapes has been on sale a few times already. Guacamelee was on sale for PS+ members during its first week of sale. From those three games Guacamelee is my favorite.

That said if I were you I would purchase PS+ first and foremost. Play the games that are currently free and then wait for sales. Just my 2 cents.

I hear from here that this Max Payne is awesome, but how does the multilayer stack up. I don't do a LOT of multiplayer so I am trying to decide on ultimate or vanilla.

I think you answered your own question. Get the vanilla version. Unless you intend to spend some serious time playing multiplayer I just can't see why you would consider buying the ultimate version. Also, I have no idea what the online community is like for this game. I played it on the X360 and had a fun time with it but that was a year ago.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the multiplayer for MP3. I played it for a few weeks when the game released. That said, I felt like there were plenty of maps included and I never did go back to play again after moving on to bigger and better things.

the multiplayer is actually really fun but i was on there about a month and half ago and the community is pretty small and i dont think lots of people bought the dlc so if you're not going to play lots of online i say save yourself some money and get the vanilla version because the story is so good you will forget about multiplayer lol

I thought the Max Payne story was good, but the controls left something to be desired. I didn't bother with the multiplayer.

Sound Shapes was just on sale within the past month for about $4 for PS+ IIRC. Guacamelee had a launch discount for PS+, and as others have said Mutants From Space was a freebie. Obviously, you should at least wait until Monday's post if possible to see what is announced for August freebies, and what next week's sales are. The other question is what will you play right away, and if you have PS+, do you have enough freebies to tide you over until one of them goes on sale or ends up free?

Holy shit Lemmings is on sale on the EU marketplace!!!! Are you guys as fuck ing jealous as I am?!??!?!
Nope, Lemmings was the first PSN purchase I ever made. I was feeling so nostalgic and hadnt played it or any other "classic" game in a long time so I had to have it. I paid the full $10 or whatever it is.

Sony gives us a slap in the face yet again!
My face is raw from all the slapping Sony has done to me lately!

Nice. When I first got my PS3 about 3 years ago I went through the PSN store and made a list of all the PSN games I'd be interested in getting if they ever went on sale. Lemmings has been on that list ever since. It's one of those games I'm not really dying to play (if it was I'd just buy it full price) but seems like a fun nostalgic trip.

Lol is this a thing now?

Better than when they piss on us every week with their imagined lack of Vita support.

looks like you're into platformers. i've plat'd SS and just recently 100%'d space blobs. Both were great games, really enjoyable.

I've yet to play Guac, but it's universally loved.

However, given these, you should add one to your list -- Rayman Origins. It's an absolute gem on vita.

Don't think you can go wrong with any of these. The nice thing about SS is that if you're on a limited budget, there are user generated levels to play (or, make if you're into that) so it has legs.

i broke down and bought it in a fit of insomnia. i probably should have saved the money. i have a problem. vita buying is ridiculously addictive, and i can't even sell it later to make some back. the only good news is i liquidated some vinyl and such for a nice bit of spending cash recently, so. yea.

in b4 slidecage can ask when we're going to get pissed on with August's PS+ release list.

(really, though, i can't wait to find out.  the past 2 months were a bit slow for me due to already owning a lot... hoping for some nice surprises this month).

for vita, new little kings story and unit 13 top my wish list.

Problem is that both those games are Vita games, and 5 of the last 6 months it's been 1 Vita/1 PSP.

I'm with you, I'd love 2 Vita games (but not Unit 13 since I already have it digitally) but I've resigned myself to count on 1 Vita and 1 PSP.

Is anyone's Killzone Mercenary beta code from E3 Home working? I see people playing the beta on twitch but my code still yields the invalid error message :whistle2:(

I forgot that version existed. Maybe I should just play that to quench my Lemmings thirst!
You should do that. The nostalgia didnt last long for me. Though I am not sure how easy it will be to see the lemmings on the smaller screen. I do need to redownload it one day though and just youtube the solutions to the levels I cant figure out.

oh, i didn't mean both. i'd be happy with one, lol. and i'm even waiting to open my copy of NFS:MW till i'm sure it's not that.

if we do get something for psp. hmm.... i hope it's an xseed rpg. no, i take that back. gladiator begins is on my wishlist.

Why does every really good single player game have to add on a completely useless MP portion? I was already worried that RockSteady was not making this one and now this :(

I blame Call of Battlefield Halos.

Because publishers push it. Multiplayer keeps people from trading games in as soon as the campaign is done and drives (or is at least perceived to drive) additional new sales during the release window. Look at Bioshock Infite. Levine was pretty candid in interviews. They devoted a lot of resources to multi that was eventually canned because Bioshock 1's sales were hurt by early trade ins.

How are the recommendations for the Journey/TUS Bundle? I've beaten Journey before and it was quite short, but I want to go back and get all the trophies again. I've also heard some good things about TUS as well. At $15 is it a good buy?

Thank you to all the replies to my question. I've read them all, but haven't been able to respond since I was at work.

It sounds like I'll probably get Mutants from Space since it most likely will not go on sale again in the near future, but I'm going to hold off until next week. I have plenty of games to tide me over until the next store update, and the Vita is not my only system. I'm sad I missed out on the Mutants and Sound Shape sales, but I was a late comer to PS+. Also, to the person who mentioned Rayman, that's on my list as well, but I'm waiting for it to drop to $10 first.  For a system that supposedly has no games, I'm sure finding a lot of games I want to play!
