That is only the PS4 version right? My PS+ is in hiatus right now but I do not want to but the PS3 version of Resogun if I can have it through PS+.

Costume Quest 2 and Citizens of Earth are worthy RPGs to get. Cursed Crusade is horrifically bad.

I don't even...

1) Sony doesn't lose any money from any sale they make where a 10% coupon is used. They make money.

2) The theory that Sony would time this sale so you'd spend LESS money is straight up ridiculous.

3) If you're not buying 10 expensive games, but buying $3 games, you'd be silly not to use the coupon for those games.

Please re-read these again and again till you understand them deep down in your bones. I promise you it'll help you later in life.

Wish I had looked into Aqua Kitty a little more before biting. Seems like a 2D version of Resogun (which itself was a 3D version of Defender on speed). Maybe it'll grow on me and not sure how much it changes as you go through the stages, but Resogun has spoiled me on any games of simlar ilk.. It's the definitive modern day take on Defender IMO. Oh well, still spent less on six games than I would have on Shadow Warrior alone.

why think when costume quest is only $2.70? I mean even if its the worst game ever made you can probably recoup the cost just by looking through the couch and doing laundry.

 
It really shouldn't be this hard to figure out the differences between PS3 and PSP echochrome.  I guess in Japan the PSP version was better with all the levels in the PS3 version (that basically served as a mini demo) and then another 56 that were exclusive to it.  Then it came here and they cut the PS3 levels out of the PSP version and knocked the price down?  So it looks like they both have 56 unique levels and then some minor features respective to the platforms.

So in case anyone else was trying to figure that out if looks like it's a toss up mostly but the PS3 version probably has a few more features (downloadable levels and trophies mainly).  If you're really into it though with each having it's own levels and being reviewed almost identically you could reasonably double dip if you were really into it.

I've played Suikoden 2 and it's really good. Wizardry I'm not quite sure about it, I like dungeon crawlers like Etrian Odyssey but Wizardry is quite a bit harder to get into from what I've played. Really need to get back to it eventually.

Basing your tastes on the mix of games you have there, I'd say you'll be very happy with your purchase. I'd maybe skip CQ2, but it's so cheap so whatever.

If you have a vita, definitely pick up Demon Gaze.

Anyone wanting to get a cheap copy of Madden may want to wait until we see the sales next week for PSN as according to Pastapadre.com, the Super Bowl Edition of Madden 15 w/Ultimate Team Packs currently on sale on XB1 is coming to PS3 and PS4 on Tuesday's update.

 
This promo is stupid as is the way Sony handles funding the wallet.  I add $30 in PSN cards to my account and... I'm 6 cents short after my current balance.  Which means I get to spend $4.94 more out of pocket or buy another $10 card.

I think a lot of people didn't like Wizardry mostly because it was hard... or at least, that was always what I got from it. I haven't played it yet, but plan on it.

Mind:Zero is better than reviews give it credit for. Not the best of the best, but good. Combat actually requires thought against difficult monsters.

details if you care:
You have LP (life points) and MP (magic points). While you are in demon form, your demon takes MP damage. If your MP hits zero, you 'break', which basically stuns you for a turn. Your spells use LP and 'technique points' as fuel. This is an odd assortment, but it basically means you stay in demon form while you can (since MP replenishes every battle) to avoid taking LP damage, but need to carefully judge when to switch to human form so you never run out of MP in a battle. In human form, you can use items, do a basic attack, or charge (refills some MP and 'technique points', also used for spells). What this basically translates to is combat gets really interesting against powerful monsters, where you need to switch in and out of demon form, careful not to get broken, protecting both your LP and MP in different ways.

If you're far more powerful than your enemies, you can also just click 'auto-battle' and hold right trigger to speed through. Your demons will just use basic attacks, your mp will take damage when hit (no big deal, replenishes)... and when you're up against stronger enemies, you'll need to pay attention, use elemental damage, buffs, debuffs, and switch back and forth against between human/demon.

Oh, and if you don't know, we're getting Operation Abyss: New Tokyo localized, comes out pretty soon. April i think?

I think a lot of people who liked Wizardry and Etrian Odyssey didn't like the PS3 Wizardry, cause it rewards grinding more than anything.

Yea, I know about Operation Abyss. I don't know when it's coming out, but I don't play a lot of other genres any more. I'm also waiting for the Asian version of Moero Chronicles (dungeon crawler spin-off of Monster Monpiece), because it has English.

Might play Guided Fate Paradox actually.

 
I just picked up shadow warrior the other day on steam for $3 but since I haven't started playing it yet im thinking about getting it again for ps4 for $6. Thoughts? Is it worth spending $9 to have it on two totally unrelated systems. I really just want the ps4 copy cus I enjoy console gaming more than pc. Pc is just so cheap

Do you not do Paypal? I love how it just funds the balance straight from the PS4 if you link your Paypal to it. Not sure why the website doesn't let you do it that way, but from within the system you will only get charged the remaining amount even if it's just $0.06.

Last I used real money on PSN minimum through the web store even with PayPal was $5. It's not a huge deal since I'll spend it eventually, just dumb.

Same here. I'm in the process of narrowing down my list to ten for 10% off. This is pathetic. I purchased 10 games during last week's sale, another 10 (some of it DLC) will be had for the Ten for 10%, and anything else left over that I can't prevent myself from buying.

You had mentioned a few other japanese versions of games, I assumed you knew Japanese or something. Do you know of other DRGPs for Vita or PSP that are only available to import but have English translations built in? I'd love to pick up some more.

Legend of Mana.  Never got around to finishing this one due to the map system.  Going to give it another shot with a guide.

Citizens of Earth.  Probably won't finish it, but will get a few laughs in.

Rollers of the Realm.  I have a weakness for pinball games. Pinball PLUS a RPG system? Sold!

Paypal is sort of built around enabling microtransactions, though even it has its limits. Credit cards charge fees; Sony would lose money on transactions if it only hit a CC up for 8 cents or whatever.

 
Blood Omen for 1.99? How can I say no to that. 

Even if I never play it, its worth the 2 bucks knowing that I could suck the blood out of helpless chained up people whenever I wanted to. 

 
Wow, you guys weren't kidding about the slow access times in Final Fantasy VI. You've gotta wait five seconds for a fight to start. After ten or so fights, it really gets to you. I'm also a little irked by how primitive some of the visuals look. Two frame victory animations and sprites that flash and flip do not impress, even with psychedelic spell effects. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea for Square to go the polygonal route with this series after all...

If you haven't come across enough information on your own in regards to how awesome Suikoden II is, then there is nothing that anyone here could post that could help you.

 
I just went with Costume Quest 2, Shadow Warrior, and Super Mega Baseball. I had OlliOlli in my cart for the longest time but finally realized that type of game usually ends up making me throw my controller than actually having fun. I may change my mind still but know I won't miss it with countless other games I'll never hardly play.

Not bad for $41.88. Happy with what I got but it took me some time to figure out if I would like those 4 :ps4: games. I also don't have to worry about any telltale game for now since I got Tales of the Borderlands when it was on sale a couple weeks ago and now GoT.

I was thinking of picking up Shadow Warrior and OlliOlli but then I was thinking we've gotten three Devolver Digital games for free already and these might be likely be free sometime this year. I might replace them with a couple PS1 classics that never go on sale.

 
Snagged Castle Crashers as well as all 4 Crash Bandicoot games (1, 2, Warped, and CTR) with the 10% off code. Had a couple bucks in PSN wallet money, too. Forgot it was in there, actually.

imo its a terrible idea to link your paypal or a credit card to PSN, xbox, nintendo eshop, or steam. (1) all have been hacked multiple times. (2) if someone gets into your account and starts buying crap, it can be difficult to reverse (3) people have had their account banned because their credit card or paypal reversed charges due to automatic fraud detection, sometimes even though its YOU buying stuff. The companies will ban your account for charge reversal and it can be extremely difficult to reverse it.

i deleted all my credit cards from all of them and nowadays fund it all via cards i buy at best buy/gamestop.

They're good candidates but I'll still pick them up at the current prices. Of course I'll moan and complain later but oh well.

Yeah, that's been my policy since everything started getting hacked.
 
So I bought via the webstore Costume Quest 2 (PS3), Rollers of the Realm (PS Vita) and The Unfinished Swan (Vita and PS3). Got the confirmation e-mail. When I use the (slow as absolute poop) PS3 store, I see Costume Quest 2, Swan Vita (where is PS3?) and Rollers. When I use the webstore to view my download list, I see none of them, but I do see Citizens of Earth Vita which I bought a few days prior.

What's the deal? Anyone else having weird issues?

Thanks for the tip. I have something like 20,000 points and always forget to check the catalog.

So the Xbox thread has "Date Night". What does this Playstation thread call Tuesday (and for that matter last night)?
