:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

And of course the Ultimate Edition of Burnout goes on sale two days after I buy it off a previous sale.

Anyone think I could get a refund?

I just finished Freedom Wars and I would feel insulted about the ending except it's clear the storytelling was in full "I DONT GIVE A SHIT" mode since halfway through the first act.

Anyway, Watch Dogs season pass is a bit of a joke. You're really only paying for the Bad Blood pack, which is quite good. You play as T-Bone and have a lot of repeatable sneak/shoot missions in the game's various warehouses. Not unlike Conviction's Deniable Ops. (Those missions are the only real post-game replay value WD has, as in they play to WD's strengths. Like hell you're gonna do 200 fricken fixer contracts. BOY I LOVE CHECKPOINT RACES.) The only downside is melee takedowns are only half as fun as T-Bone. Aiden's lightning quick lethality with that baton was cool as hell. The campaign itself isn't bad but it is forgettable. Worth it if you liked Watch Dogs and want another scoopful.

Alien Isolation's Season Pass is mostly challenge mode stuff and I think a couple of levels based on Alien 1. I couldn't even beat Alien Isolation so don't buy it unless you know you like A:I.

So I bought the Shadow of Mordor season pass.  Now, if I go to the game page for Shadow it asks me to choose version (I have disc based game).  I select full game download and it just does nothing.  I try on the webstore and it just spins the IE circle.  Anybody have a clue or maybe this is a glitch?

Any thoughts on Lego Batman 3? I bought Marvel last year for under $10 and really enjoyed it. $30 still seems high for Lego Batman 3 but the season pass is included. But anyway... Anyone play it? How does it compare to Lego Marvel?

Get the disc copy for 20.

The game is one of the least interesting lego ganes since there's no true open world but the DC universe cast is incredible

So thinking of the Dying light season pass..

as far as I can see there are 3 parts to the SP, 1 of them you get with the pre-order. I didn't pre-order the game but I got the bonus in the case anyway.

Is there another scheduled DLC release? cause it's cheaper to just buy the 2 DLC I don't have.

I might get that and sadly I bought some costumes already

Anyone know if the watch dogs season pass includes the 1920's chicago outfit? I just want to feel like I'm playing mafia 2

Figured I'd check on the new deals on Tues, but deals are overpriced as shit. What a bad day to start off the day I get a ps4. Oh well, I'll just wait till tomorrow to get my TLOU RM DLC since I didn't play the DLC on PS3.

Any thoughts on Sniper Elite 3? Looks like a good deal for the complete edition at $20
Yeah, i'm definitely interested in this one. It's hard to imagine the physical copy getting much cheaper than that anytime soon. I know the complete versions of Sniper Elite 2 were $15 on Black Friday a couple of years ago, so it's possible this complete version could be as low as $15 this BF. I'm opposed to spending $20 on anything I can get a physical version of, but I figure the trade in value will be so low by the time I can get a physical version for that price that it won't matter too much.

I bought it when it was $10 for the base game on the Xbox One. It's not a terrible game. It has some unique mechanics. Some of the movement and animations feel janky and wrong, but the act of actually planning your shot based on the distance, wind, obstructions, sounds in the environment, etc can be good fun. I know they're trying to do very different things, but the transition from stealth to guns blazing when you are discovered was never as satisfying in this game as it was in Wolfenstein New Order. I got tired of Sniper 3 after a couple of hours and will probably never go back. It might hook someone who gets very invested in the type of gameplay it offers and is willing to forgive some of the technical foibles.

Any thoughts on Sound Shapes or Minutes?

Both look kind of interesting but I've fallen for more artsy games that didn't live up to what I expected.

Sound Shapes is a must. Great platformer, great music, and if you get the trophy for 1 system, u get the trophies for all systems you own. 3 platniums for 1!

I personally loved Sound Shapes. The main game is not a difficult experience, but the challenge levels that you unlock are brutal and required for the achievements. If you like "synesthesia" games (think REZ or Lumines), I think it's one of the best. A lot of the music is great and seeing the integration of that music into the platforming in the levels gave me a real rush the first time through. The level editor is good and people have made some amazing things with it. The discoverability of the best of those user levels isn't too bad either. Plus it's cross-buy. It's a good purchase IMO.

After the flash sale and Gamestop's 4 for $10 last week, I thought I was done buying games for a while but Motorstorm RC is too good to pass up. I've also been waiting on a sale for Sound Shapes so I'll gladly pick up the bundle for $4. Now if I could just find the time to actually play this stuff...

Thx.

Koei Tecmo announced a sequel to Samurai Warriors 4 called Samurai Warriors 4-II:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFt4sRfHDbo

It's supposedly more focused on the story of nine characters from SW4 instead of a more overarching narrative like the previous games.

Not seeing much in terms of sales this week that interest me, but I will definitely pick on Misadventures of Trone Bonne. I had the game on Playstation years ago, but sold it (like a fool) along with both Mega Man Legends games. I am stoked to be able to play this again on my Vita, it's easily one of the last great games on the Playstation towards the end of the systems life. I really hope to see the Legends game added to PSOne Classics soon.

RC Pro Am was one of my favorite games. I still have it on cartridge.

I love that game, I even had the Game Boy version back in the day before my brother managed to destroy it. Super Off Road and Road Rash were also great.

You guys are forgetting about Rock 'n Roll Racing, this game was a blast!

Is there any way to turn off automatic patching on the PS4? Its gettng really annoying every time i go to start up a game that i dont want to patch. I have to stop the game go back, go over to the notifications, over to downloads. pause then delete. Some games even keep trying sometimes after i do that and i have to leave it on paused until im done with it

really annoying with dragon age. It keeps trying to get the 3 gig patch every time i start it up. How can i stop this? I have all automatic d.loads off and it still does it. Same with when theres a PS4 update

Again Burnout Paradise Ultimate is on sale, and again they won't let me buy it because I bought the game before the Ultimate edition even existed.
I had a similar issue with that before- i just called their customer service number and they fixed it on the spot. (You can probably use live chat to do this as well).

Tease post about the new Need For Speed that sounds like a reboot of Underground. I have zero interest in it if that's true.

After nearly 2 years of hoarding points from the Amazon rewards credit card:

I wish they had a bundle with an extra controller or PS+ card but this one isn't too bad since I'll probably sell the collector's edition. I'm interested in playing The Order but it's supposed to be pretty short so I'll just grab it at a Redbox.

Wow! Congrats! I do not have the willpower to horde points for that long. My measly monthly $20ish in Chase rewards are gone the second I get them.

Technically, you should have bought it on the credit card, and redeemed the points as statement credit. Then you get bonus points on your PS4 purchase on top of it being close to free.

Damn! I didn't even think of this. To think for all of these years I have also been hoarding points only to use them on Amazon when I could of done this instead.
