:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

What are your thoughts on everybody gone to the Rapture
This pretty much tells me everything I need to know.

If you have a gaming PC, I highly recommend Cradle. It's a similar narrative game but has a whole lot more going on in it than this apparently does. I thought it was head and shoulders above the Gone Homes and Dear Esthers of the world. There's also The Talos Principle, although it is an actual puzzle game. I'm not sure if that's out on PS4 yet. If it isn't, I think it will be soon.

First and foremost there's freaking run button that apparently no one knew about including myself (holding R2 down for a period to ramp up speed). That said, while I think I like it more than Ethan Carter, these narrative "games" are extremely shallow from interactive standpoint.

I kind of like supporting the genre because as I get older and grumpier I think it's the kind of game I'll prefer but both of the recent PS4 releases have been extremely light on actual game. Thanks for the tip on Cradle though, I'll check it out.

Quick tip on Cradle: A ton of individual notes are readable, even if they appear to just be part of one texture on the floor. It's a really insanely dense game, and if you're into Ghost in the Shell-type transhumanist theories you'll get a lot out of it.

Some of those psp games really need steeper discounts. I mean, it is what it is, but sub $5 would be nice.
Yeah but at least Squenix keeps their pricing fairly consistent I suppose. Can confidently buy their stuff when it goes on sale without worrying too much you're going to regret it six months down the line.

I don't know when this happened, but there are no standalone pre-orders for Rock Band 4 anymore. They just offer guitar and band bundles on Best Buy and Amazon, so digital seems to be the only way to just get the game if you have the old stuff.

When I saw Citizens of Earth go on sale on 3DS/Wii-U, I figured it'd be on sale on Sony platforms soon. Now to decide if I really want to get it, and if so, on what platform.

I hope we get another (And better) $1 flash sale soon.
I hope not. I'm spending $20-$40 a week on these sales as of late. My wallet needs rest.

Thanks! I'm currently looking at $40 for a 500gb and $60 for a 1tb in the western digital blues 5400. The price difference isn't much, but $60 isn't what I'd call cheap. My game budget is pretty squeezed right now though, so I may just want to wait a bit longer.
Best Buy has a 1TB Western Digital for $50 this week:

Your own link from the list post. They're right there at the bottom of the first page. Either they're glitched and not updating properly or somebody messed up and added them when they shouldn't have.
The specific sales pages regularly include more games than are actually on sale, so I rarely ever use them for the sales lists. This is no exception. If that changes, feel free to let me know, but I'm going to assume that the list I have is it from Square Enix.

Not that I'm saying it isn't a possibility here, since Sony does mess up often enough, but how is this exact kind of error a regular thing? Serious question, because I can't think of other examples.

Finally got Citizens of Earth. A bit bummed it only has 10 trophies.

Also, since Thomas Was Alone was added to PS4 (crossbuy) for those who got it for free with PS+ remember to re-buy all three versions for free to permenantly add them to your digital library

August of 2014 I paid $20 and think earlier this year it was $20 as well.
Retail options for FF X-X2 Vita bundle have been as low as $20. It's currently $20 at Gamestop stores (and on their site). Last I looked it was $20 at Walmart stores though not available on the site. Amazon used to have it for $20 but they must have sold out as a third party is the provider for it now at $40. Still, for both games, $20 seems a decent deal. Especially when the PSN versions clock in at 3.4GB each so anyone with a small 8gb card will run into issues if they want both installed. So half of that space is saved with the retail version (since X2 is a voucher for PSN).

Does anyone have experience with either chrono game on PS3? I've been waiting for a cheap ds copy of chrono trigger, but for 5$ I may just give the PS3 version a shot.

No clue if it's the publisher or Sony's doing. I just know that it happens all of the time.

Great game, there is a bit of loading here and there but regardless its worth owning.

I could have sworn this was cheaper the last time it was on sale.

Cosmic Star Heroine seems like it might be getting closer to release, as they just sent out surveys to backers asking for which version of the game they want.

Just finished Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. I'm really split between the game.

On one hand it's beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing but on the other hand the story is incredibly vague and doesn't really give you a sense of understanding what happened to everyone upon completing it. I understand bits and pieces but that's it and I did a lot of side stuff and listened to all the audio and what not.

May give it another play through eventually. i must of missed some crucial part of the story or something.
