Richard Thompson sounds like Eric Clapton if Eric Clapton had a major stroke and lost feeling in left side of his body. Not saying it to bash the guy, but when I heard it that's the first thing to come to mind.

Eitherway a big pass on DLC this week.
 
So my friends drum set is acting all wonky, pretty much won't register the kick pedal and it makes the menu selector jump around. Any advice?

Well, I decided to splurge a little and pick up some new tracks!

I would recommend getting the Thin Lizzy and Killers packs if you haven't already! :)

...And damn this game needs some Queen!

Pshhhh, man, this game needs a lot more than just Queen.

Queen though I think will follow in the path of this Beatles game depending on how well it does.
 
This is going to be my first RB song purchase since November, The Offspring songs are oddly fun to play and the R.E.M. track sounds good.
 
great, more great songs I want, and then that Pearl Jam album. I need more pts cards now, and I got 15 of the 1600s for 5 bucks during the (glorious) Target coupon fiasco last summer...
 
Man, I went back to GH2 to get a few easy achievements I never bothered to pick up a couple years back - I can barely use that GH3 Les Paul controller now. It felt uncomfortable as hell and I definitely wasn't as good with it as I am with the RB2 Strat.
 
So I caved and picked up the AC/DC track pack. The version of Let There Be Rock on that disc is so much faster on drums. It's ridiculous!

Over all the songs are good. However the disc is so pointless it's retarded. Walmart should have just sold cards with scratch off codes exclusively.

So I am currently listening to some Muse and I just ran across Map of the Problematique. Holy shit do we need some Muse. Not just an album but their entire discography! I am currently running through all their albums and they are one of the most epic bands ever. So many of their songs seem so huge (if that makes any sense).

The odds of us getting any Muse will be somewhat slim unless due to that huge hassle with WMG. Which sucks, I love Muse.

That song in general is fucking ridiculous. 10 Minutes or so long it feels like and so many vocalist breaks and the goddamn big rock ending lasts forever.

Though yes, more Muse would be awesome. Especially since they have a kickass bassist so never really a dull moment on plastic guitar. I Think that's one of the few bands everyone can somehow agree on as being Rock Band DLC worthy.

Complete opposite with me. The GHIII Les Paul is definitely my favorite guitar. The neck is right length, the buttons (including start and select) are responsive and spaced correctly, the whammy bar works perfectly (I got so many more points on GHII songs with it), and the strum bar takes a beating and still works like the day it came out of the box. The X-plorer plain sucks, and I could never get used to the Strats strum bar and buttons, though it looks damn nice.

EDIT: However, I forgot to mention that the red button on my Les Paul stopped working a few weeks ago, so I'm stuck using an Xplorer for a while. :cry:
 
I wouldn't be surprised if Muse was one of the most requested modern-day bands that HMX gets. For the record, I've been wanting Muse in Rock Band since before it came out! Glad to see that there's a lot of CAG Muse fans!

Oh yeah, in general the AC/DC songs have ridiculous big rock endings. I was on drums for one of them and manged 55,000+ points; hell it may have been more like 70,000. I can't remember.

Yeah, that is one of my favorite songs by Muse. I do love their albums though. That album gets the most play on my Zune though. It's such a great album to kick back and chill to.

I can definitely recommend both Offspring songs and Losing My Religion.


They all have crowd sing alongs, and the one in The Kids Aren't Alright is epic.

Though I don't think Queen is "exclusive" to Activision are they? Since there was no announcement and they've also got their own Singstar game coming out as well so still a chance. Man, I'd kill for "Prince's of the Universe."

I love funk so I'm getting that whole pack. I hope more funk comes out, it's awesome to play. Although I wish the EW&F song was September (yeah, it's their most popular song but it's great).

Gonna be 3 weeks in a row (counting next weeks Pearl Jam album) that I bought songs, damn. I don't even want to know how much cash I've spent on this game.
 
oh man I am all over that James Brown track (get Uppa! get onnnn up!). Maybe also "Last Resort" for the camp appeal.

Yes!! I was wondering when some more New Pornographers would come out, first new songs since Rock Band One disc and a Funk Pack with James Brown, this is the best week in a while IMHO.
