That kinda talk may fly around the art class with your other shift-less shaggy haired friends but so help me God if I ever hear such blasphemy again I'll fly to where ever you are and shove your feet up your ass.

Try it, pipsqueak. I'll facepalm you and walk off with your girl while we chuckle at your futility. Wear a diaper - often times I hit people so hard they shit their pants.

I wish you the best of luck on that. I just don't forsee it happening personally.

Is Ron Simmons actually working for them as an agent or something?
I wish you the best of luck on that. I just don't forsee it happening personally.
What you don't "see" I might be able to squeeze into the Grand Canyon.
Every RAW since 2001 has been the same RAW.
Fixed. You're welcome to substitute "1998" and I won't argue.

Now, for my picks for Cyber Sunday (and please help me, I want to have a good time there):

"Champion of Champions" match: ECW Heavyweight title (reasonably the only one that would change hands)
DX v Orton/Edge: Eric Bischoff as ref
Jeff Hardy v ???: I want to pick Shelton Benjamin, but Nitro looked damned good in the ring tonight. Either of those two is fine with me
Ric Flair/??? v Spirit Squad: "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. I'll take pics, I swear. There better be some goddamned polka dots.
Umaga v ???: Sandman or Benoit. Fact it: Umaga won't lose a match like this, but I just don't care about Kane at all. If someone losing to Umaga matters to you, pick Sandman; it doesn't matter if he takes a loss
Lita v Mickie James: No DQ. I was hoping for a barbed wire explosion match, but you can't win 'em all.

If you could vote in my direction, I'd be very grateful. There better be more than 6 matches, given that women's matches don't matter (that makes it 5, really). I could see some Highlanders/Cade & Murdochstuff being announced on Wednesday, or something throwaway. Anyway, vote myke 2006!

Agreed. Nitro may have a stiff tongue, but he was amazing in the ring tonight. I want to say, though, that his mic skills actually enhance his character.

The IC matches have been the best thing, these past few RAWs.

I don't like Carlito, though. I can't quite put my finger on it, as to why... but I just don't get his appeal.

2 more people confirmed for the Elimination Chamber (this is from tonight's ECW taping)

CM Punk & Test

That makes Big Show vs RVD vs CM Punk vs Test vs ??? vs ???

I'm guessing the final 2 will be Holly and Sabu
So, I think I'm gonna buy "Death of WCW". Any reasons for/against it?
I'm assuming you mean the book by the Wrestlecrap guy and the...other guy. If so, yes. It's one of the few wrestling books I thought was worthwhile.
I don't like Carlito, though. I can't quite put my finger on it, as to why... but I just don't get his appeal.
Me neither. I don't know if that character really fits him. Plus his entrance music is so dull the crowd never makes a sound.

To take our mind off Raw, here's a clip from when wrestling was awesome:

....no, really.
So, I think I'm gonna buy "Death of WCW". Any reasons for/against it?
It's an alright read, but like any good "dirt" book, based on hearsay and conjecture. Clearly, there's something to the narrative that WCW was run by people with no concept of budget, and later on, no concept of booking, but like any good wrestling rant (published or not), it's mostly rumor, baby. Like the tabloids.

I don't want to be too cruel to it, as RD Reynolds is a CAG (though he's never posted in the wrestling forums). I don't want you to think that it's "accurate," however. Though, to be fair, I don't think the Monday Night Wars DVD or the Bischoff book are completely true either. Perhaps with the trifecta of those, you can assemble what you believe to be the truth.

His first book is worth reading, however, but only if you never spent much time looking through the "WrestleCrap" website.

Why the hell would you want to see Dusty Rhodes out there?

If I vote, and I might just for you, I'm voting for Piper. Rhodes & Flair makes no sense, these two had one of the biggest feuds of the nwa in the 80s! C'mon isn't anyone over 16 in the general WWE audience anymore! The Flair, Slaughter, Piper, Rhodes promos tonight were definitely geared towadrs Dusty getting the vote though, so... no logic prevails yet again in the WWE.

If I had it my way... first off why is there only 6 matches?

anyway:

#1: Women's match - If Lita is so f*cking hardcore (in her mind) why not have a ladder, cage or table match? Lita is supposed to be retiring anyway, so why not go out with an career-ending injury? I guess no-DQ could be promising, but only if Angel shows up with a barbed-wire dildo. A submission match would be interesting, as that would be totally assinine for these two.

It doesn't matter this match will be a: diva-jill match, gotta get all the skanks on TV, it's rigged! Mickie will win too.

#2: Champions match - I'd put Booker's Title on the line. Since Vince sees the need to drag up ECW's corpse and continue to parade it around, why not kill one of the WWE titles. I vote the former WCW title, let's go back to a unified WWE title, since the champions are floating from show to show freely now anyway. Just to f*ck things up, we could have the Big Show win.

The reality is, Cena's title will be on the line, Cena will win. Probably pinning the Big Show too, just to piss me off.

#3: Umaga! Umaga! Umaga! Umaga!

Umaga, Umaga, Umaga!

I really don't give a f*ck, Umaga will continue to win unless Mark Henry comes back and does the greatest thing ever and injures Umaga. I like all 3 of the other guys, none of them deserves to lose to this piece of samoan shit. I'll vote Sandman though just because he might get some cane shots in. Kane will probably win though, and then lose... again.

#4: DX vs Orton & Edge: I wish Vince would ref this one. Vince is a hell of a lot better worker than Coach & Bischoff combined. Hell Vince is a better worker than Edge & Orton combined. No wait, Vince is a better worker than Edge, Orton, Bischoff, Coach & Lita combined.

Have fun watching Bischoff count the 1-2-3 in favor or Edge & Orton though. Not that that is too predictable or anything, I mean way more unpredictable than Bischoff getting his head shaved 2 years ago

#5: Spirit Squad vs Flair & ? See above, I vote Piper. Dusty will win, I don't know why. Flair & Dusty will win the tag titles too. The end of the Spirit Squad is near.

#6: Jeff Hardy vs ? - I vote Carlito. We've already seen Jeff face the other two, and if Carlito is ever going to get anywhere he needs to turn heel again. He was just getting over as a heel, so what did Vince & Co do? Turn him face to confuse the fans! Carlito needs this, or he'll end up like Masters.

Anyway, Nitro will probably win, since the fans are confused about Carlito and no one cares about Benjamin unless he's teaming with Haas, which NEEDS to happen again soon.

All in all a pretty lame PPV, I hope things get better by Wrestlemania.

"He's just a common man..."

Hearing that theme was priceless.

Besides, you could have Dusty out there, and have him turn on Ric. Build up a long feud to culminate at WrestleMania. Just the video package with all the history they have would be awesome. But it'd be great to see them go at it one last time.

F*ck that, and F*ck DX too.

NWO 4 LIFE!

I'd be happy with either Dusty or Piper being Flair's partner and then winning the titles. I'd be amazed if Sarge won the voting, and he has the worst chemistry of the three choices with Flair on-screen.

Well, you can look at it one of two ways:
1) They've dropped all storyline logic
2) These are two bitter rivals from two decades ago who gained respect for each other as a result of that feud. Even disregarding the storyline on Raw, Flair was all over the Rhodes set. Sorry, Charlie: kayfabe is dead.

Vince McMahon wants to cut back on the ECW rules matches.
So he's wanting to get rid of the match type that all old ECW matches were?

Man, he's just turning that show into the new Velocity. At this point, by Wrestlemania, it'll be a show with 30 minutes of promos, 10 minutes of T&A and 5 minutes of actual wrestling.

That's pretty much what I'm calling "ECW" now. Velocity with a few former ECW names thrown in. Such a pitty too.

Not every match in the original ECW was no-DQ, and they certainly weren't all weapons matches, which is all "Extreme Rules" matches are. Tangytangerine, you just described Raw - ECW has very little T&A on a regular basis. Raw last night was just hilarious. I cracked up at Vince getting on Coach for not caring that Raw COULD lose its world title when he himself couldn't have given a shit less about the WWE title when RVD not only held it, but took it to ECW and off of Raw. Edge causing a DQ despite BEING THE REFEREE cracked me up. Oh, and J.R.'s contract expired yesterday.
Not every match in the original ECW was no-DQ, and they certainly weren't all weapons matches, which is all "Extreme Rules" matches are.
Quite true. ECW was not a bastion of amazing matches; I can't think of a single match involving the Sandman that could reasonably be called "good." He was entertaining, though. ECW fans also loved their own version of Nathan Jones/Great Khali, 911. He was such a bad wrestler that he would only come out to the ring and chokeslam people; the crowd loved it, and loved calling for him when a particularly boring match would be going on.

ECW did have good hardcore matches (the WWE manufactured "everything is under the ring stop sign garbage can and lid cookie sheet" match is the same as it ever was), however. It also had great wrestling matches. The biggest difference is that (1) too much story and (2) not enough wrestling matches (4 minute mathes accomplish nothing other than eat time). Bringing guys into ECW and not changing their gimmick from some previous never-had-a-person-buy-a-ticket-to-see-them Test/Hardcore Holly bullshit is an affront to what ECW was. Everybody who had a failed gimmick in the past found new life in ECW: Shane Douglas, Tazz, Al Snow, Justin Credible, and countless others. They didn't bring in Al Snow as "Shinobi" or "Avatar," and they didn't bring in Credible as "Portugeuse Man-o-War Aldo Montoya." Because the crowd would have shit on it. What money is there in "Test" as a character or wrestler that "Andrew "Kick Your fucking Face In" Martin" wouldn't get?

Just read the spoilers for next week for ECW, the crap keeps piling up.

Elijah Burke & Slyvester Terkey make their ECW debut. Also Hardcore Holly goes back to being a heel. Guess his feud with Test didn't last long.

Guess those two along the other two are now Smackdown rejects.

I like those guys, truth be told. One of 'em, anyway.

I don't get why a 1 hour show with no time for 2/3 of its talent needs more guys.
I don't get why a 1 hour show with no time for 2/3 of its talent needs more guys.
Cause from the sound of things, they're going to be clearing out some talent soon that they think is just there to collect a paycheck.

BTW, Hogan & Mankind's entrances were up late last night on IGN(Ps2 only). Kinda annoying the way they put the entrance vids for the Wrestlemania 22 arena. Also, did anyone else notice that during Mankind's entrance, Lilian introduced him, but Tony Chimel is in the ring?
I'm shocked they didn't have bra and panties match for Lita's match. Although I'm glad they didn't.

IGN has Cactus Jack & Dude Love's entrances up. Pretty pissed that Cactus doesn't have his music or video(has the Foley music & vid). Come to think about his match with Orton at Backlash a few years ago, he had both. Did WWE lose the rights to the Cactus Jack music?

I think it was just some stock music (also used in some porno). I don't see how they couldn't afford it.
I guess wrestling is full of some sick fucks who sit there and watch pornos just to find wrestling themes.
Oh...

...you meant actually in the wrestling industry

NWO's theme was porno music too. But that stock music is used for anything. The old Crash Holly theme was used on several sports shows in the past.

Well, that would explain why Val Venis is still around.

What a bunch of crap. I don't mind if they don't do this, but don't do this AND neuter the custom entrance theme that Yuke's already programmed into their wrestling engine (as evidenced by that Rumble Roses piece of shit).

Despite her on-air persona... Lita seems to be the one "Diva" that shows the least amount of T'n'A... (pun intented)... and that is why I am secretely in love with her...

or maybe it's because she reminds me of my ex...

DAMN, guess it's not a secret anymore

Based on some hearsay and gossip from old-time Richmond, VA punk rockers, she very may well have dated you, and the rest of the free world.

But I said... she reminds me of my EX OK?! In more ways than one :p

LET'S NEVER SPEAK OF THIS AGAIN!

Ahhhhhbuh-bye... losers. heh heh hehhh
I'll have to look for myke at the ppv now on Sunday. Will you be camera side?
I'm on the opposite side from the entrance ramp, most likely sitting up where I won't be caught on camera.

Good to see Colt Cabana made it onto ECW tonight dressed as a fairy.

So, I finally bluetoothed the pictures from Sunday's show onto the PC... Here they are, (warning: they're pretty bad)... but it's the best I could do.

Seeing my favorite wrestlers was pretty cool. Joe and Daniels put together a high quality match (I was thinking they would slop it up since it was a local thing). However, the match of the night was Sabin vs. some pot head black guy named Ruckus, who really impressed me. He came down the ramp with a lit black and mild (I think?). Great match, Sabin won the MCW TV title from Ruckus though, which means that he'll probably be back to defend it some time... and if that card is worth it, I'll probably come back for a second helping. After Ruckus's match he was in the crowd just hanging out and I barely noticed him when walking by, but later when he was walking by I complimented him on his match. There was also some really cute chick named Daizee Haze. She had this stoner gimmick and my friend, who had some pot, tried to catch her on the way out... cuz he said he saw her on the way in. I also saw Delirious for the first time even though I've heard about him before. Pretty boring match but the character was amusing. Anyway, great time... I'm officially a paying wrestling fan :)
