Spyro isn't out yet, it is guessed (based on various information and experience from last year) that there will be 5 waves, the first 2 already being out. Here are the ones not out yet (minus coloring variants - these show up as "Special" versions in Giants, but no other changes in appearance or ability).
Regular New
Hot Dog
Series 2 Repose
Zap, Eruptor, Prism Break, Lightning Rod, Spyro, Wrecking Ball, Drobot, Stealth Elf
Lightcore
Chill, Pop Fizz, Shroomboom, Hex
Legendary
Chill, Stealth Elf
Giants
Eye Brawl, Ninjini, Thumpback
Now there isn't much real information out there on the availability of these, other than rampant guessing based on wishful thinking. On Dark Spryo Forums you have lots of people "predicting" a wave will be out prior to Christmas, with all 3 missing giants and Hot Dog, but that is complete nonsense. People and store employees claiming any of the above are out are either misinformed, lying or have seen ones that have been smuggled out of Activision. You know they will drag this out some more, like last year - people were still abuzz about waves all the way into summer. Here are some things that are a bit more reliable:
- Legendary Stealth Elf will be out in the next couple weeks. She is in the TRU Black Friday ad as being "in stock". Some have reported it shows up in system as being street dated for Thanksgiving, when they open early for BF. They will have tons of them, some people that work there have reported warehouses stocking as having TENS OF THOUSANDS of them in the computer. Think Legendary Trigger Happy here. You don't pay for an exclusive that is treated differently in game and not have it in stock to sell. The ones on Ebay are from Canada and parts of Europe (Italy), where it came out a few weeks ago. Don't fall for Ebay scalpers on this one. Educated speculation based on real info that is readily available.
- Legendary Chill is a Lightcore, so will likely show up around the wave Lightcore Chill does so they can leverage having the molds running. Legendaries and store exclusive variants do not always align with waves exactly. Speculation based on manufacturing realities.
- Series 2 Stealth Elf will likely be in Wave 3 when it comes out, since Legendary Stealth Elf uses the same mold and comes out very soon. Speculation based on manufacturing realities.
- Wave 3 might be out prior to Christmas, but more likely in mid January given last year as a reference. It probably depends on stock levels over the holidays, this is why Wave 2 came out early. Gotta have some new stuff for the kids to spend all of that money from Grandma on, right? Pure guess based on history.
- Hot Dog and Series 2 Zap will most likely only be available in a new Battle Pack with the Scorpion Striker. This item was found by data mining the game files. Those two, along with Chop Chop and Shroomboom do not have single pack SKUs that show up on some retailer websites. Speculation, but based on real stocking info and game data.
- The remaining 3 waves will probably contain one giant and one lightcore each. No one knows the order and release date outside of the makers of the game, unless they have inside sources. And those plans could change too. It likely has to do with demand and interest. Speculation based on what's left.
- Current SKUs indicate 8 total Triple Packs planned, with the Battle Packs included, but not including the TRU Exclusive Legendary one. Four are out, and one Battle Pack. That leaves the other Battle Pack and 2 more triples. Triple packs contain 1 new and 2 Series 2 reposes. Fright Rider is the only one left with no Triple Pack or not in another bundle. The other one might be Punch Pop Fizz (Ignitor came out separately despite being 3DS exclusive last year), or it might be Jet Vac, given many got the Portal Owners Pack. It might even just be 3 Series 2 reposes. Triple Packs have always lagged behind waves by a week or two, probably due to shipping. Speculation based on history and what's left.
- There WILL be Sidekicks again, four of them based on Giants. Little versions of Thumpback (Thumpling), Eye Brawl (Eye-Small), Tree Rex (Barkley) and Ninjini (Mini Jini). You can Google for images of the models. At present it appears Frito Lay will be doing this again sometime next year. Reliable info based on interviews, but could change depending on popularity.
- Wal-Mart has a special green Gil Grunt with XBox360 packages in their Black Friday ad, this is Series 1, not 2. Sonic Boom glow in the dark is also shown, but it is unknown reliably if the figure will be solid material (like the earlier ones or Fright Rider in Europe) or just a paint job (like Cynder in the Wal Mart Starter Packs). Reliable info based on the ad.
- Gold Series 2 Flameslinger is not analogous to the rarity of the gold ones from last year. It is just an Amazon only variant that has come in stock a few times, in fairly large numbers. Think Legendary/Granite Crusher availability here. Reliable info based on the website and forums, lots and lots of people have already gotten them.
