So There is No Place to Buy San Andreas Now??

CAGiversary!
This is ridiculous. I can't find this game anywhere to purchase except Ebay and Amazon, and they want $60 bucks now for it used. The game is cheap and acceptable when it was just about murdering cops and violence, but some stupid sex scene has banned this game nationwide?? Is there anywhere else to buy it at normal price?

Its not banned they're just reproducing the game under the AO rating. Same game, different label.

Give it a few weeks.

I just saw it at an EB yesterday in Milford. They replaced the M rating box with an Ao sticker.
It is interesting that it was on shelves, though, because I was told at my local EB (in Fairfield) that they wouldn't be able to have it on display due to the AO rating.

There are about 25 Used Xbox copies at my Hastings. Also they have covered the M rating on front with a "18 To Purchase" sticker.

On the complete opposite side, there's 1 rental copy for XBox at mine and about 40 used and 10 new copies on PS2. They also just slapped a "18 to purchase" over the M rating. $49.99 if you want one, but you can just go to EB and ask for one and they'll sell it to you if they have any in the back.

not really, the current versions on shelves (if you even find it) are AO. they're reproducing the game under the M rating, which will be avialable in a couple months

So they just can't be displayed? I may need to ask. I know that most big box retailers totally recalled they game but I haven't heard anything about the specality stores recalling them but I've been to EB games and Gamecrazy and I didn't see the game for either system new or used. Not even dummy generic hand written boxes.
You can still buy it, I know at my EB, we sell them but you need to have ID and be over 20 to buy it.
be over 20? the ESRB, mature rating is only 18+, ID required.

yea, EB is still selling them, you just have to ask.

That grandmother must be the most hated person in the country right now. How come no one whines about that Leasure suit larry game with the guy in between two big boobs on the front cover? Its the grandmother's fault for letting the kid trick her into buying that game knowing fully well that the game series is about violence.
This is just like that Billy Ripken baseball card! No, wait, it's nothing like that.
Showing your age, there? (whoops!)

That happened in '89 - remembering that sure as hell doesn't make you old - just out of high school.

Question on that though,..... what rating did Leisure Suit Larry get????

If it's only "M",... then the system is totally flawed.

Although, I don't know what can be done with Hot Coffee enabled,... I can't imagine it being worse than LSL. I watched my friend play it,... and it is obsenely pornographic.
If it's not AO,... then GTA:SA shouldn't be.

What is worse though,... letting your kids see nature in action,... or promoting wonton acts of cruelty, and murder???
I'd rather my sons' see people getting it on, than watch them shoot cops.

I try to get as far away from racism as I can,.. .yet it is always looming. Look who owns Viacom, MTV, and most of the media. Then look at the similarities between the owners and the "artists" they portray. Both have had horrid histories, in which they were persecuted, exploited, raped, and murdered.

I used to say,... oh, my friends are confused,.... they are just following a trend. Then,... I noticed how fast things changed. The media was pushing not only the envelope, but the social/moral limits our children were exposed to.

As I used to be quite the thug,.... I realized that it was just a social thing. A cool club I was in. I dated girls from all creeds, hung with the biggest nerds, jocks, and gangstas in the area, and did some really bad stuff in the name of social evolution. Then,... I watched my friends get busted for illegal stuff, including 2 murders.

They weren't bad kids,... they just acted like their idols at the time. In an instant, I realized how impressionable they really were. For all of their hard talk, and even actions,... they were still young kids, following the hymns of false prophets.

I took a different approach to the world after those incidents. I followed my heart, and used common sense. I try to help people wherever I go,... but without forcing my idealistic ways upon them. I try and get them to appreciate other things in the world, other than a certain lifestyle they are accustomed to.

Chappelly says to keep it real,.... and he absolutely right. What is more real than you or me??? Your appearance means nothing, and its what is in your heart that matters most to this world. The media has you tricked into thinking that it's how you look, and behave that'll make or break you.
I feel that that is wrong. Whether or not you agree with me, no matter where you come from, or what creed you are,... it is a deep rooted feeling inside to socialize and be in love.

Not holy rolling here,.... just saying that that "love thy neighbor" stuff isn't just fluff.
A lot of you have been through some rough times, and have had terrible experiences. You are mad, sad, and uneasy when faced with the most insignificant situations. So next time you flame someone on the internet,... just ask yourself why you have so much contempt.

I'll tell you,... I grew up listening to classic rock, jazz, and oldies. Then I moved to hardcore rap,... then to metal, then EMO. All of those styles bring out emotions in a person. Perhaps not to all of you,.... but I think it's safe to say the majority of you get "something" from your particular tastes in music.

Well,... I don't hate my mom, I don't sell drugs or do them, I don't dance, and can't find the time to play an instrument. Although,.... when listening to a certain performer do their thing, I feel compelled to act out for them. When I watch their music videos, I get a feel for what they are going through,... or what they want me to beleive. I can relate to almost all of it,... and that's called good marketing.

Now, games are the focal point of nation. How is a game so different from music??? Or a video??? It's that parents never had to think about video games, as they were never privy to them. Now, they have another medium to consider. If they take the time,... like they do with other forms of media, this stuff wouldn't be a problem. If a kid wants something these days,... they can get it.

It's up to the parents to prevent them from making a purchase. To instill in them, what they feel is acceptable. If the kid chooses to stray away from his upbringing, then let it go. You can't make someone be something they're not, right. In time, they may see that what the world is dishing out to them is total garbage, and create their own set of beliefs. Or,... they may accept everything they are presented with, and live a branded lifestyle.

Why is it up to the government, how we should be???
Not trying to sound like a communist,... but in a free world, we should be free, in mind and body.

If a kid is buying GTA, it's his/her right. When censorship comes into play, you take away rights.

If a rich kid wants to be a gansta rapper, so be it. If the child of a minister feels the need to virtually kill hookers, I say, let ho-slapping commence.

Sorry to go on like that,... I'm hopped up on a "legal" drug, called Mountain Dew.
:)

BTW,... my son thinks the bike riding is the best part of the game. Too bad he can't ride his own yet. That's where the real fun is.
:)

:applause: nice big-ass post lol

Your forgetting the fact there are TWO versions out there of LSL MCL..the "clean" version and the full "porn" version. I'm suprised I can't find the more intresting version anywhere...sold out? limited edition? recalled?

I'm pretty sure the "interesting" (Uncut & Uncensored) version is PC-only, and did not come out for any consoles. It also was a double-dip, it was not released at the same time as the "clean" version. It is rated "M" for Mature, btw. If you are looking for it, it is $12.90 at Gogamer: http://www.gogamer.com/cgi-bin/GoGamer.storefront/SESSIONID/Product/View/001LEII

$1.99 is the cheapest shipping option, but it will only show up after one logs in, I believe.

yep talking about the pc version hehe..damn now pc makers are "double dipping" arghhh its all FOX's fault, they started it with there dvds.

Don't try Wal-Mart. Even if they didn't pull the copies, they are restricted in the register system and won't allow the cashier, CSM or Manager to override the prompt.

What an awesome card that was.

Yep, All you need to do is ask at EB and be at least 18 with valid ID and you can still buy it. I know its still being sold in TN at least.

I remember when you could get $100 for a fuck face!

Edit for all you young cats in the audience...

Has anyone checke ebay yet for those. I've seen new copies go for about $70. I need to capitalize while the game is still in the headlines.

That is Awesome......Everyone Hated Billy Ripken and his Major League Career sucked due to this card......That is a great Quantum Leap episode

I went to my EB today. They had about 5 or 6 with the AO rating on the box sitting on the shelf behind a glass case. I consider myself lucky since I havent seen it anywhere but there. I have it for the PS2 already but my bro wanted it for the xbox so he'll pay me back.
Seriously, if you haven't bought San Andreas already why are you buying it now all of a sudden?
I normally wait for a game to hit $15 before I buy it. But this may be the last chance to own this edition.
