I tried to get them to PM a few weeks ago but they told me they dont PM at all.

Thanks OP, apparently, atleast one store near me has it in-stock, so I'll try and head over there soon - hopefully, I can snag a copy. I've been wanting this for awhile.

Edit: If it helps anyone, I have a screen cap. of it before it went down.. I assume you could still try printing out a screen cap, and try and price match - if anyone wants to try it, let me know, I'll put it up here.

[quote name='bahnke1']wow total bummer they just removed it from the site. sorry[/QUOTE]

Not your fault. It's too bad I didn't screen shot it while I had the chance.

[quote name='Hydro2Oxide']Thanks a bunch.

So I just print this out and take it up to a cash register at my local BB? I've never pricematched before.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, that's all you should have to-do, just tell them you want to price-match that, and they should let you. It depends though, on some stores, the BB up by me, only accepts actual printed ad's (like the circular that you get at stores), but I know the Walmart's and everything else will accept print-out's / screen-caps of online deals.

So, if you actually get a price-match or not, I guess really depends on your location. Doesn't hurt to try, I've only done one or two price-matches so-far, so maybe someone else can give alittle more in-sight on doing this.

Wow I mentioned to people to print out the screen on this deal back early on in the Radioshack thread and no one paid to much attention to it and you make a solo thread and boom lol...

I had a print out from one of the actual Radioshack stores even though it was the same as yours and got burned at one bestbuy because the guy called the store and they did not have it in stock so then went to the next bestbuy in my area and 5 mins later had a copy of SCIV ...

So it is really YMMV on where you are going to get a price match but it does not hurt to try seeing you will never get these at radio shack anymore seeing they were pretty much cleaned out as soon as someone caught wind of the low price

Thanks for the post & the cap! I'm dead broke right now, but still might try to get this. This is a great price.

And if I do get it, I probably won't play it that much ... I wonder what the TIV is.

edit: $17 @ GS is not bad at all

[quote name='sayHey']broken link?[/quote]

Just checked RS's website and Soul Calibur IV no longer exists. Guess that means they're sold out, or other retailers told them to take that sh*t down because it was costing them too much moolah! :)

I see that SCIV now exists as part of a new XBox 360 bundle:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3402683

Perhaps they know it's a hot game and want to bundle it to help get rid of the consoles???

On another note, my local RS had Guitar Hero: World Tour w/ Guitar on sale for $39.99. The website lists the same product on sale for $99.99: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3434995

I was going to buy it and flip/trade it, but read the reviews suggest the guitar is faulty, and I didn't want to bother with folks being unhappy with something out of my control.

Glad I'm not the only one...

[quote name='A_FITZ']I want my PS3 Copy of Soul Calibur 4 for $20..:fridge:[/quote]

it's completely ymmv but the radioshack in somerworth NH had it there for 20, as well as metalgear solid 4, i alsho checked the one in portsmoth NH and the had differen't prices. i'd go check anyways you never know.

[quote name='notfromtexas']are yoda and vader in both versions of the game, or are they exclusive characters to certain systems ala sc2[/QUOTE]

I believe they will be in both via DLC at some point.

Yea, $5 for Vader who isn't even a good character. Not worth it.

Anyway, thanks for the screencap, gonna price match this now. I was waiting for a good price to buy Soul Calibur 4 at.

[quote name='Dhuk']Old news. Why didn't the mods lock this thread or combine it with the RS thread?[/QUOTE]

The reason these threads exist, is because people, such as myself, have no need to ever check a Radio Shack ad. The same thing with the Target / Best Buy / CC ad's. I have no reason to check them, because I have none near me.. and who knows, sometimes their will be a good deal, but more then 50% of the time, there isn't.

That's where these threads come in, posting deals that people such as myself, will see.. as opposed to looking in a Radio Shack thread with no mention of this in the title.

[quote name='honzoh']Thanks for the Google cache post, I had BB pricematch this today - no problem.[/quote]
How exactly does the PM work? You just take the print-out with you, grab the game, and take them both up to the register & they just manually mark it down?

First, thanks op!!! been waiting for this to hit $20.

Anyway I just took the printout to customer service and had them price match. They needed a manager for a override but no big deal.

[quote name='HomieGFunk03']did you find a way to remove the bar from the top of the google cache link or did they not even bother grilling you on it?[/quote]

I PM'd just fine at BB.
The cashier at my local BB didn't even notice the little cache bar at the top. I doubt anyone at BB or Walmart will know what that means.

The Caliber of My Pricematch

So, here's what I did....

I Googled the URL for the deal: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3209502. Then I cached it and saved the HTML to my hard drive as a "Web Page, complete". Opened the HTML in Notepad and deleted the following code:
Code:
This is Google's cache of [URL="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3209502"]http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3209502[/URL]. It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on Dec 26, 2008 11:52:47 GMT. The [URL="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3209502"]current page[/URL] could have changed in the meantime. [URL="http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/features_list.html#cached"]Learn more[/URL]

[URL="http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:6b5VFTG_t9oJ:www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp%3FproductId%3D3209502+http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp%3FproductId%3D3209502&hl=en&client=firefox-a&gl=us&strip=1"]Text-only version[/URL]
These terms only appear in links pointing to this page: http www radioshack com product index jsp productid 3209502
Saved the edited HTML and opened it in Firefox. By removing that code, I removed the "This is a Google cache..." box at the top of the webpage. Then I print previewed it, clicked "Page Setup" and then the "Margins & Header/Footer" tab, selected "Custom..." for the right header, and inputed the URL: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3209502. I was then able to print out the webpage just as it appeared before the link was killed.

With my authentic as possible print out, I first went to Best Buy. At Best Buy I was told that they only pricematch if the retailer, at the closest location, has the item in stock. The Radio Shack near Best Buy did not have the game in stock. I next tried Wal-Mart. At Wal-Mart, I was told that they only accepted circulated ads, not computer print-outs. Next, I gave GameStop a call and was told that they do not pricematch. Finally, I stopped at Game Crazy, the girl behind the counter told me that they do pricematch and went to double-check with the manager. He said it was fine and I was able to purchase the game from Game Crazy for $19.97 plus tax. The girl was surprised that the game was being offered for that low and I mentioned that they had had it for $24.99 last weekend and that I tried to buy it from them on Monday but that it was back up to $59.99. The manager was nice enough to back my story.

I don't know if I would consider this deal a scam or not because, even though, the deal is no longer posted, it's only a couple days old. If this deal was more than a week old, then I would consider it a scam. Anyway, to recap:

Best Buy: YMMV. Some previous posters had success, I did not.
Wal-Mart: I'd say "no go", unless someone else had success, then YMMV.
GameStop: No.
Game Crazy: Yes but, it might be YMMV depending on your Game Crazy. The people that work at the one that I frequent are pretty cool and not 20 year-olds on a powertrip. Some people complain about their Game Crazy though so, YMMV.

Hope this helps you guys and good luck!
