This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Amazon Prime day incoming -- get ready to buy those crappy old console games and spend 100+ man hours flipping them to realize a profit of $12.

Flash should have been retired a while ago and could be if enough websites would update their code but that won't happen because that will cost companies money.

Edit: As in massive overhauls for many websites including a lot of pages people shop at.

Another exploit was uncovered a few days ago. As of right now it's still unpatched. And it's not just Flash, Java was also blocked. It's only temporary, while the issues are patched.

The main Facebook security guy is saying that Flash should probably be retired now. I dunno what to think.
A lot of people are calling for it. Is there an alternative, though, or is it up to the individual sites (whether they use flash for videos or not)?

Html5. Like I said it would require a lot of recoding for a lot of companies though costing lots of money. YouTube already defaults to it though in most cases.

Got TNO, but will hold off on Dragon Age as I still have The Witcher 3 to complete and then I really want to get back to my year's goal of beating the entirety of the MGS series.  And maybe starting a JRPG (... I did buy those neptunia games...).

Wait - were running Crossfire / SLI?

ESO isn't the worst $12 I've ever spent. That honor goes to a lapdance I got in FL, summer '04. I tried to make a character that looked like Mads in Valhalla Rising, but came off more Snake Plissken. The graphics are Chinese knock-off Scrolls wanna-be bad, but I did kill a lot of frogs in my 2 hours of game time. I'll probably never play it again or I'll aimlessly wonder online Tamriel for the rest of eternity (or until they take the servers down) when I'm not watching porn.

Overall: 2 and a half sharts of a shit.

Tales from Nuuvem...

Rome II: Emp Edition (SA locked) - $6.36 (SA)

Randal's Monday - $4.77

Some insulting GTA package (III, IV, VC, SA, LC) - $23.87

Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown - $8.91

South Park: SoT - $6.36 (Steam)

Etherium - $8.91

Also says "Witcher Franchise" sale but only W3 pops up.  $31.83 for a GOG key.  Not that anyone here wanted to buy W1 or W2 anyway.

So it's past midnight in the UK and already Prime Day there. They are running a few PC download deals but if their's are any indication of what the PC Download deals for US Prime Day might be, don't bother staying up for it.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=pin15_gw_d_roto_event_digitalgames?ie=UTF8&node=5137855031

There's only a small handful of Ubi and EA games and Eve online and nothing below 50% off, save some Eve Online starter pack, whith most of them being far less off than 50%

I don't have huge hopes for Prime Day all around.  I mean, sure, "Bigger than Black Friday!" but 85% of what I bought on Black Friday was toys for the kids for Christmas anyway.  It's not as though I went crazy buying small kitchen appliances, earrings and a thousand different types of iPhone cases.

Bought The old blood ($4) and killer is dead ($3.20) from GMG...

Thinking about South Park... great price!

Edit: Bought before it goes out of stock

Amazon is too mainstream to have any type of good deals.  This includes all of their stock and not just video games.  So if you're looking for a generic smart tv or the latest wacky 'must-have' gadget then you're in luck.  I held off buying a pair of new running shoes about a week on the small chance they put Asics on sale but I won't hold my breath.

South Park well below $10? I'll take that, thank you very much.

I remember buying the GTA complete pack with 1 and 2 in it for ~$7 from Nuuvem. Why it so expensive now?

I bought it and activated it in the US without any shenanigans ... or jiggery pokery
I can confirm it works in the US, and the deal shows up without a VPN. Not sure beyond that.

Packages on Steamdb show an AU version, DE version and an RU version. No SA/Brazil only version. I assume the DE/AU versions are Nazi-censored or something.
Thanks! Just wanted to make sure before purchasing.

Holy shit! South Park for less than my buy price AND a Steam key as well? I'm all over that like MysterD on a rhetorical question.

finally a nuuvem deal this sale that im interested in...awesome deal on south park

You can change the default conversion method for payments but it's a pain in the ass to find.

PayPal Settings --> Scroll to bottom right for Preapproved Payments --> Set Available Funding Sources --> Select card and "Conversion Options" -- > Change setting to "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice" --> Submit

You'll have to do this for each card you plan on using.
Question for Paypal using peeps and Nuveem, if I have funds in my Paypal account, when it comes time to check out, do I want to somehow chose my CC instead of using my funds, so that Paypal doesn't fuck me over with conversion fees?

South Park: SoT - $6.36 (Steam)
Awesome deal! I feel only a little bit sad that I bought it last December, as it always hurts to see the price drop. But I enjoyed it way too much to let it bug me.

I know I'm talking to the wrong crowd, but... don't let it fall into backlog hell. Play it!

I just bought it and am debating playing it next after my current game. If not it's near the top of my list.

Pretty sure Paypal forces you to use funds first whether you want to or not.

I didn't even want it and I probably won't play it. It's never really been my thing. But it was close enough to my $5 jumping on point that I just said fuck it and bought it. I don't think anyone else will have it that low and I don't see it in a $1 tier even if it did end up in a Humble.

Have Nuuvem introduced Paypal country checks? Just tried to buy South Park, and it just says that it's unavailable in my region after I complete Paypal checkout.

Some Australian on Reddit said they got the uncensored US version and they couldn't activate it on Steam without having to use a vpn so possibly it's blocked in your region because they aren't allowed to sell the uncensored version there.

I guess they have to get the version with a Koala picture up instead of anal probing.

Maybe you guys get a picture of a Kiwi bird instead. :p

cool.

PS: The big Prime Day leaks are 4K TVs and SSDs. SSDs are nice, but everyone is jumping on that bandwagon right now and prices haven't leveled out like they did with regular HDDs. Will wait until it becomes the standard and can offer higher storage space at reasonable prices before jumping on that. And 4K TVs would be good for PC gaming, but a 49" 4K monitor? Come now, your graphics card will be drawing more power than most of Africa just to render those lapdances. There's no real call for it right now, as there isn't enough streaming content nor is there a nationwide fiber optics network. I still can't stream 1080p where I live without interruptions.

And the other deals in the SD post were for monitors and pre-builds like the Alienware Alpha. Lol, Amazon.
