This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

So Dark Souls Remastered is 25% off, but it stacks with the 50% off for owning the original. Thing is, instead of taking 25% off the discounted price (which you'd expect), it adds the discounts together. So if you own the original, it's 75% off ($10).

Will wait for 50% off sale.

Thanks for pointing this out. Were terms given for the discount to original owners? Discount permanent or for a set period after release?

Some of the most fun I had in 2018 was playing all the way through Dark Souls Remastered. For me, it's easily in top 3 video games of all-time. I'd actually slot it in at #1 GOAT for several reasons if I was doing an objective analysis.

The tokens for the Steam sale look fairly worthless to me, but just in case you think you can get up to 15k, you might want to buy things during the sale as gifts and then you can just claim them for yourself later.

The faq mentions, " You'll receive 100 tokens per $1 you spend (111 tokens per $1 for gifts)."

I don't believe they ever mentioned any specific details beyond the discount itself. Safe to assume it's a permanent discount, but I figured they would've capped the overall discount for PTD owners at 50% whenever the game went on sale for less than that.

Did I miss a glitch?????
Glitches-snitches get stitches!

OK. Besides glitches, though.

Well, apparently, you could easily generate unlimited amount of tokens and use each of those to buy 5€ coupons.

Everytime you checkout it would double your tokens and then add whatever you earned from purchase.

Of course I missed it too. But big oversight on Valve's part.

A couple decent deals:

Escape Goat 2 is 2.00

The Magic Circle is 4.00

South Park Fractured But Whole is 12.00

i think these are all historical lows although escape goat/magic circle were both bundled

It's the same game, dawg.

Pats weren't good in the most of the 80's or 90's, TBH.
Granted, the standards for complete awfulness have been set far lower since then (e.g. '08, '09 Lions), but Pats were definitely the pits for as-bad-as-we'd-ever-seen in the early 90's, and around then.

This thread is so boring and dead.  Don't know why I even bother blessing you guys with my presence.

Here's my Lunar sale haul, the best sale in years.  Thank you Epic and the Chinese.

Witch Hunt - $7.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/661790/Witch_Hunt/

Historical low.  Only game on my wishlist other than the unreleased Manhunter.  Hunt witches.  What more could you want?

Hand Simulator - $.69: https://store.steampowered.com/app/657200/Hand_Simulator/

For those times Weiler's mom is not around.

Unforgiving - A Northern Hymn - $2.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/747340/Unforgiving__A_Northern_Hymn/

It seems Nordic mythology is the new zombies and BR.  So many games with this premise.

Shadowside - $.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/643820/ShadowSide/

Walking sim a la Kholat.  Less than anything at the dollar store and I don't have to drive there.

Brigand: Oaxaca - $2.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/652410/Brigand_Oaxaca/

Not to many games based in Mexico and while this looks awful, it's well reviewed and is supposed to be pretty decent.

Ben and Ed: Blood Party - $5.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/500260/Ben_and_Ed__Blood_Party/

Making my bundle sacrifice so some of the bros can get it later and I can have someone to play with.

Perception - $2.99: https://store.steampowered.com/app/426310/Perception/

Award winning thriller about a blind woman?  Cheap enough to take a chance on.

Left Alone - $2.09: https://store.steampowered.com/app/417750/Left_Alone/

Another cheap walking sim.

Audiosurf 2 - $4.94: https://store.steampowered.com/app/235800/Audiosurf_2/

I loved the first one and some turtle I know said it's good.  People are complaining you can no longer use youtube links to play levels, which does sounds like it sucks, but being the dinosaur I am I have enough MP3s to last me an eternity.

For those that have played Far Cry 5 and have any DLC or the Season Pass;  what were your thoughts on the DLC?

Reviews tend to favor the Lost on Mars DLC over the other 2.

$30 is a good price for Far Cry 5 Gold, but $15 for the base is tempting as well.

Lost on Mars I haven't played. The Vietnam DLC lacks personality. It's just tower capturing and collectibles in a Vietnam setting. The zombie DLC I absolutely love. It's presented as trailers/pitches for different zombie movies that you have to play through and you unlock cosmetics by replaying them.

I'd also like to know this stuff about the FC5 DLC's.

How are they?

On GMG, UPlay-only versions of FC5 base is $13.50 and FC5 Gold is $27.54.

It's been since they were released that I played the dlc, but none of them kept me entertained for very long. The Mars themed one was imho the most interesting since it sort of tweaks the standard formula enough to make it interesting: Think Tremors meets Starship Troopers-ish. The Zombie and Vietnam ones are just kinda "eh". I guess the big plus is the assets they add to the community created stuff, though I can't remember if that content has to be owned before you can play the player-made levels or not.

The 'spin-off' New Dawn looks more appealing to me.
