What a great system.
The best part is where they openly admit they're participating in Greenlight bribery right in the title. :p

Also, believable or not?

(From the Info page): Won't You Lose A Ton Of $$$$ ? My primary goal is to have people play my game, and not necesarrily make money. I believe getting this game on Steam will give more people the opportunity to experience this game and that's worth the loss in sales.

I buy it. If his primary goal were to make money, he would have made an open-world zombie game.

So uh, a warning for anyone looking into buying TMNT from gamestop.. apparently it's a shit PC port. Not only do many people have issues getting the online co-op to work, but the dev disabled the LAN option in the latest update. This means you can't use a VPN like Hamachi, Tunngle, etc to get the co-op working easily by default. There's a workaround to use LAN but you can't use saves with the workaround, making it so you have to play through it in one sitting. Oh, and there's this bug, no idea if it ever got fixed:

"It's been reported that after you and your friends get co-op working, if you ACCEPT an invite from your friend WHILE YOU ARE NOT IN GAME YOURSELF, then it will delete your save file, reset your stats to level 1, and remove all chapter progress. (You'll still be able to play with your friends, but your turtle(s) will be at level 1 and you won't have any of the special weapons unlocked."

Supposedly there are other bugs as well, not related to the co-op, but I don't know if they were fixed.
Sheesh, sounds easier to try and get netplay working with MAME-TMNT...

I buy it. If his primary goal were to make money, he would have made an open-world zombie game.

Race the Sun is a real gem. I highly recommend it. That said it's been $2.50 on GOG last week and at Xmas, and that comes with a steam key.

Why get netplay working with TMNT when you can play the superior X-Men or the Simpsons? :p
Because those other ones are stupid cartoons.

Have you ever played the arcade version of TMNT? Or even the NES version? ...oh ha, I see it's been XBL'd...

Not all of us have sleeping problems ...
Touche.

The developers of Larva Mortus should just make the MSRP at .49 its in the weekly sale almost every week.
Hmm. Maybe I'm just blind/a newbie/ignored the game, but this is the first sale of it that I can remember. I've seen the Action Indie Pack on sale before though.

Pfft' X-men? A stupid cartoon?

..Okay, maybe you're right.

And yes, despite owning all three of those on XBL, I played the arcade version and NES version first on MAME and BSnes respectively.

Bobby, if you're trying to convince someone X-Men isn't just a stupid cartoon, at least post the best video:

If anyone's feeling extra-crazy, The Book of Legends gives Playfire rewards, though you only have 6 or so hours to earn them.

CT: Special Forces is in the $1-tier of PayWUW. And Jack Orlando is in the $3-tier of Flying Bundle 8.

Race the sun is one of those games that after playing 10 minutes you say: "is that all? I have to race the level for good scores, and start all over again after I die?". Then, after 30 minutes, you're addicted. And is even better after you discover some awesome tracks on the workshop.

Race the sun is brilliant.

They should change the name of steams weekly sales to ' that part of the week where we try to get idiots to overpay for bundle fodder '

Also race the sun is awesome and you should all play it

I might have to say this is better than normal... but that's really not saying much.

I really want Nidhogg... Not sure if that's my price but if someone wants to go in on a two pack and we get a Russian involved I could probably be talked into backlogging that one in the here and now.

King's Bounty... I know one (or more) has been bundled but how good are these games...? They seem to make a tun of them.

fixed that for you...

The absolute truth of it all is most cartoons from your childhood are not as good as you remember them... X-Men is not as good as you remember it but its also not that bad... Its still passable entertainment today.

Likely going to get crucified for this but the new TMNT cartoon is actually the best, much better than the one from the late 80's early 90's.

Depends which one you mean. The Nicktoons one or TMNT from the early 2000s?

Well, which of the two is newer...? ;)

I guess I should have gone with the word current...

Anyhow, if you like the Turtles try it out... I recommend starting the Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the beginning as its rather serial in its telling and old episodes are referenced quite often. (Both in the storytelling and in the humor.)

I only pointed it out because about every third WTF video he makes he recaps the whole I do first impressions and don't do reviews for five minutes because people keep getting it wrong.

Oh damn. Race The Sun has been on my wishlist for a while. I guess I'm a dumbass for not following the GOG thread. The agony of missing the boat and facing the $0.89 price difference. File that under things one doesn't want to learn on a Monday. I love Mondays.

I'm felling the same pain... I really don't follow half the threads I should anymore. (I don't even follow Amazon's thread anymore let alone GOG's.)

Well to be honest, as of late no one really needs to follow the Amazon PCDD thread. Maybe it's worth a brief follow around May 21st to see if the mythical May-hem is legit. Then again when Steam has their Summer sale some time in July for price matches. So you're not missing out on much.

I did check out GOGs Spring sale briefly but nothing caught my eye at the time. I either overlooked Race the Sun completely or it was a quick flash sale.

I don't mind missing the GOG sale on Race the Sun because I can use Gaben bucks for the purchase.  Even though it isn't at the magical 75% off I believe I will pick it up today.
