I realize that Prometheus steel has a 3d/2d combo but that is way too much money for it. I'd like to pick it up but I'll wait it out until it's under $20 USD or until it sells out and makes my decision for me.

My Walmart got a few new steelbooks with new art for Casino, Scarface, Lock Stock& 2 Smoking Barrels among 4 or 5 others. When were these released?

 
Walmart's Black Friday ad shows the comic steelbooks for Scarface and The Mummy under the $6.96 bluray titles. Maybe there will be the others for anyone who missed them.

I know it's old news but didn't see it mentioned here. I picked up a few last Thanksgiving and I'm pretty sure they were cheaper than $7. Don't think I would've spent that much for Doom.

We may have another "Godzilla (2014)" issue like we did, where BB said that the 3D copy was a steelbook and it included the 3D copy, when it wasn't 3D. 

Since it lists (BD + DVD + UV DC) then (BD 3D) right afterwards, it might be 2D only.

As a comparison, this is the one for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes:

Yean, noticed that when the ad came out. Surprised no one mentioned it before hand. This makes my pre-order now for the steelbook only like 3 bucks out of pocket now.

 
I think I am going to return my Sin City Steelbook tomorrow...  I read the reviews and it looks like it bombed at the box office.  Why waste money on a bomb?

I really hated the cover art for the BB Steelbook for Transformers: AOE.   If WM has a better one, I am getting it from them.

You should at lease rent it, everyone has a different opinion. I didn't really care for it either way but I'll see it again for Eva green body

The new Sin City isn't terrible, not just as good as the first. The fact that it bombed is more to do with the sequel coming out 9 years after the original. If it had been 2 - 3 years after the first it probably would've done better. If it interests you at all you should check it out and not rely on box office take.

WM doesn't have an AoE steelbook, Target does. had I know this one was coming out I would've waited as the cover art is better than the BB version.

 
So I picked up the Sin City 2 steelbook.........still unopened. 

Totally forgot about the 22 jump street steelbook...might pick it up tomorrow.

Also is it me or did anyone get their Robocop 2014 steelbook with line scratches in the back from best buy a few months ago?  I reordered one and it came today...with those damn scratches like when they were first released...how is this possible??!?!?!?

Grabbed the last one at my Target and agree that it looks really nice. However it feels a little cheaply made since it has more of tin container type feel. I'm new to buying steelbooks so I have only a few (Divergent and X-Men: Days of Future Past are my only other two) and it seems this way compared to those two.
 
Picked up my 22 Jump Street steelbook from Target via in-store pickup.  Not an issue at all.

Picked up the Sin City 2 steelbook from BB last night and was surprised that it is 3D BD + BD + DVD + UV DC.
