I was at Target yesterday, and impulsively purchased the Edge of Tomorrow Steelbook. I was planning passing and going with the HMV version (3D + 2D) since I already joined the group buy over at the HiDefNInja forums. 

After inspection I'm kind of glad I got it as it's a pretty nice looking Steelbook. I'm glad I grabbed it.

XMen Metalpak at Target seems like it's going to be stocked better than DCAU Steelbooks are.

10 copies were at the front counter of Fairview Heights, IL (STL) location at 9:45 AM. That's all I was there for & going to work down the street so I didn't check Electronics for more.

Paid $18 plus tax at Target or were you talking the BB price?

I always thought the DCAU acronym also encompassed the movies. If I was wrong I apologize.

You're way outside my area of expertise. The extent of my comic knowledge is knowing if the major characters are DC or Marvel :p

 
Even though I had $10 in rewards at Best Buy I went with the Target Metalpak for XM:DoFP. I was realy glad they were sold out of First Class in the Metalpak because I would have been to tempted to pick that one up also.

 
I was gonna get the film at bestbuy today and sell the uv code for 6$ recouping a-lot of the cost but I think sub 10$ on bf is likely for me at this point. Of course i really want to see the film again lol

This is correct.

You other guys are using DCAU wrong. DCAU is the DC Animated Universe which includes Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Zeta Project, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Sub Zero, Batman Mystery of the Batwoman, and Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. Unless you want to get into web-series, tie in comics, or tie in games, that's it (though Teen Titans is debatable - it is referenced heavily in the DCAU and a crossover with JL/JLU was planned, ultimately though most don't consider it canon). DCAU is a big deal, and was SUPPOSEDLY adopted as one of the 52 universes in DC's New 52 multiverse..... but who can keep track lol.

Basically the DCAU was what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now, except it focused more on TV with a few movies whereas the MCU is movies with a single TV show.

None of these DC animated movies are in the DCAU.... the only one that would even come close is Crisis on Two Earths, which was slightly modified from a script that was originally supposed to be a movie tying JL/JLU together. Why they felt they had to change anything at all as opposed to just throwing us a bone and releasing the movie the way it was written is beyond me, but there you have it.

Kinda surprised anybody on this site doesn't know all this already..... But when I read DCAU steelbooks I got really excited for a moment, so you guys broke my heart :cry:

Anyone open up the Target metalpacks for X1/X2/X3/Origins: Wolverine yet?

I checked the Amaray copies I have and they were 2-disc for X1/X2/X3 and 1-disc for Origins: Wolverine, plus an iTunes digital copy disc, so I was curious if the Target metalpacks were the same number of discs for X1/X2/X3 as the previous retail releases.

 
Europe get the character on spine, US/CAN gets the title. Of course, all country will have different J-Card.
