dood I learned hella life lessons from Street Fighter!
let's say you're in a position to make a move, so you can make a move... let's call it A.
but your opponent may know you very well and know you like to do move A so he anticipates it with counter move CA.
thus knowing he knows you are going to do move A and counter it with CA, you can do move B instead which would beat out his CA.
but then your opponent who thinks you may indeed do that will prepare yet another counter for your move B, called CB
so... if you're already on this level and you think your opponent is going for CB you would instead use a move that would beat CB... which brings you back to move A.
now... the thing is... while all this is going on in both your and your opponent's heads... time is still passing!!! You do not have all day to think about what to do thus you need to make a quick decision based on all past experiences, the current situation, risk calculations, gut feeling, etc.
also... it also shows that instead of going for flashy shyt and having a large arsenal of moves, you can jus stick to a very small yet effective toolbox to get yourself thru your problems.
so yeay... that's my life!!!! SKILLZ!
